1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Obtaining Testnet BTC for Bitmex on: May 12, 2020, 07:27:42 AM
Hi all,

I am looking for a way to obtain 2.5 testnet BTC for the purpose of trading on Bitmex's testnet.
They have a stupid rule where if you make too many orders under 0.0025 BTC, you get labeled as a "spam account" and face repercussions.

I'm trying to test a strategy for a bot I wrote involving executing many trades using small portions of my balance. I'm able to run it currently with leverage, but with leverage I have to worry about the risk of liquidation.

All the faucets I've found only provide up to 0.01 testnet BTC, and most don't work properly.

Does anyone know how I can obtain 2.5 testnet BTC? Mining isn't really an option for me.
I'd be willing to even buy testnet BTC. I wouldn't pay much. Probably $50 USD at most.
Also, it'd have to be distributed between 5 wallets, as I created 5 accounts to bypass their dumb "200 open orders" rule.

3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bittrex Minimum order broken? on: December 22, 2017, 08:03:53 AM
I have the same with RDD coin now. Minimum trade amount is well over 3000RDD, that's over $30? Looks to me as if the minimum Satoshi amount has doubled once more?  Huh
Had the same with XVG the other day. I also am a small trader, and I can't really do the trades I want anymore..

As i've said before, it's simply because the price of reddcoin has been absolutely pumped to the moon and bittrex hasn't changed the minimum order value. Before the pump 3000 RDD was around 0.0005-0.001 BTC, which was close to 0.001, but now after the pump it is worth 0.002 btc and that's why everyone is complaining about it.

Read the support article. It's all written there.

Your minimum has to satisfy both the native currency requirements(aka 3000 RDD) and 0.001 BTC, for a trade to be valid and put onto the orderbook.

Where did you find that the native currency requirement on Bittrex for RDD is 3000 RDD?
I'm trying to find information on the native currency requirements for each market. Is there some sort of link of this information?

I've already read this article, but it simply states that there is a minimum quantity that varies based on the market..
