I think we have heard your story quite a few times. Thanks for that. It probably helped things move along. At the time of the sale the 50mh was $2000 and the 250mh was about $8000.
I don’t think they got away with too much honesty, they did drag it out and probably paid themselves a salary so dragging it out was beneficial to them but in my case, I did get an email right when the order came out against them offering to refund the money. I didn’t take it unlike someone else on this forum cause they said no lawyers fees. Well, after $11k was paid for machines, I also spent $7k for lawyers fees and a huge risk. The email they sent out before the payday is a way for them to avoid paying the lawyers fees and interest. I declined and the next few days I got the judgement for the original amount I paid for the miners, interest, and every penny I had paid to the lawyers. One thing did change was the exchange rate from dollars to pounds. But in the end I think I made a tiny bit more than everything spent. Although, it was brutal paying almost 60% of the amount you are suing for with no guarantee.
I paid ~$11k to them and $7k to the lawyers and they paid me $18k. So they are at a -$7k loss on just my order. Only thing that helped them was that only one judgement at a time which took a couple months. So that was their reason to drag it out

I sued them through small claims in the UK and waited in line for about a year or so. I had one order for the 50 and one for the 250. My case came up and presented all evidence and got my $11k back plus lawyer fees plus interest paid at 8% or so. The final total was about $18,300k paid back, 7k in lawyer fees. it was nerve wrecking especially after paying lawyers in the UK so much after sinking so much. paid back in June 2018.

My coins are staking and I have them on Mintpal. No need for a personal wallet and unlocking and encrypting etc. Unless you don't feel safe on the exchanges
You mean MintPal support staking in their wallet? yes, i have coins on mintpal and i have been staking according to my balance on there. It's been growing daily That's great. I asked a few days ago, but nobody answered. What is minimal stake age? no idea, i think its 48hrs? whatever the dev team said it was...the exchange wallets are no different. I have been noticing i'm staking on mintpal ever since the the stake block started |

Lost $50 this round of trading, but made $150 the first round, so $100 of profit from white coin. Way too much aggravation for me though, time to focus on other coins that are actually built by real devs. Happy dumping  glad you're out. i'll take them There's so many other coins with real dev teams that havent had a complete catastrophe like this, keeping white coin now is pretty much stupid. Did a test send to Cryptsy it made it so I sent more, for those interested in moving coins to cryptsy just took a little longer then normal ie 30 mins

Whitecoin. What to expect in next few days. Turbulence. Be aware and prepare! I want to let everyone know that once the new wallet comes online and exchanges allow deposits, we should expect a dump. Weak hands, scared, emotionally influenced, and impatient people will sell. Depending on price when open trading resumes will dictate how massive the dump will be. Some will wait for the price to rise and then dump. Trolling will probably start up again too. Not to worry and all is 100% expected. Whether you sell or not is up to you. We have mobile wallets in the mix now too, currently being developed. Those who will hold their coins will be rewarded. Even if we only see 3k satoshi, everyone who has WC wins. I'm trying my best I'm sorry. I've been working for essentially 36 hours straight to figure a way out of this for everyone. The way I see it, the only real solution unless the devs appear immediately is to take chunky up on their offer to hard fork the coin. At that point, an emergency update could be performed to protect the blockchain, the update could be issued, and we could then figure out as a community how to address the PoS issue. Lets take chunky up on their offer. All in favor say I. Fork it already....For christ sakes....why even ask |

AN IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT FROM WHITECOIN

I stepped in as head of PR only a couple of days ago, and it's been a wild ride. Unfortunately it's about to get wilder for all of us.
After multiple reports of problems with WhiteCoin not staking several people began investigating this issue, among them two of the whitecoin pool operators. As the person responsible for communicating both chunkypools' and whitecoin's message, I've found myself in a pretty uncomfortable position.
I've submitted requests for clarifications to the devs on this issue, and have yet to receive a response.
What we've learned
The investigation into the staking issue is ongoing, however we have learned of a vulnerability in WhiteCoin's blockchain that will require emergency action by the community.
Chunkypools offers port to protect WhiteCoin against 51% attack: PORT 3377
If you want to protect your investment, rather than crashing the doors of mintpal I suggest you visit whitecoinpool.com, create a worker if you have not already, and point to port 3377.
It's my job to communicate for the people who contract my services. However, that contract exists with the public as well... and I must give it to you straight. Currently it would not take much hash to take over the blockchain and perform a hard fork.
One of the most important purposes in crypto is that if the devs get sick, hit by a bus, or abducted by a UFO... the community will have an option to take over maintenance of a coin. WhiteCoin can easily recover from this problem if the community rallies to protect the blockchain with hash until an update can be performed.
ChunkyPools offers hard fork and the facilitation of an update if the community requests it
If the devs do not re-appear ChunkyPools and others have offered to facilitate the hard forking of whitecoin and the release of an updated fix. It would not take long. But it does require your support and consent.
I have a great deal of experience with online communities, and I'm here because I see the potential in this one. All we need to do is rally behind a port with our hash and make our voices heard.
The Whitecoin Community does have an option
There is enough community interest and exchange volume in this coin for us to turn this around immediately. I've been working tirelessly for weeks promoting this multipool and developing a re-branding that will blow away every single one of you. I will do everything I can to help you -if you want it- even if it means creating a WhiteCoin foundation as a community. Escrow services to raise funds and consensus based decision making systems are not very hard to implement.
I will try to answer as many questions as I can for you here.

got pulled was fake to cause panic and it did now its back up  What's not fake is that someone with a million coins is being a dickhead. Dismal situation yet again He is not di*khead, he is using his coins to fake mass sell and to control price range so that he can buy even more cheap coins and increase his stack... I would say that di*kheads are those who panic sell at his pressure. We are currently in the accumulation stage. nothing else. The noobs that sell here will regret it. |
