4.) I don't think the Time Zone argument means much, because there are plenty of us that are more active at night than daytime.
2  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Calling out the Bitcoin Foundation Scam. on: March 04, 2014, 07:24:36 AM
Fortunately, they're about done with that so now they can focus on their Coinvoice service. I say fortunately because that means they've had time to help out two local merchants in Austin that got burned by BitPay. (Do you know how embarrassing it is to go around to local merchants convincing them to start accepting Bitcoin and pointing them at the most well-known Bitcoin payment processor just to have them run into existential problems like "not getting paid?")

Considering one of them was a licensed firearms dealer, and in order to buy weapons through them you have to go through an FBI background check, it was extremely frustrating that BitPay or Coinbase wouldn't work with them.

Where would one be able to find video of this presentation afterwards?

Is this a windows only (systray) bounty offer?

===> The Bitmessage integration hasn't been done yet, perhaps we can discuss you doing that one if you wish.

The application was coded in Qt/C++ and runs on Linux, Mac, and Windows.

looks like a good match
how can I help

If you get a hold of me on the IRC channel on Freenode, we can discuss how you can help. I can walk you through the moneychanger source, and point you in the right direction for getting integrated into the app.

The channel on freenode is #OpenTransactions , my handle is "Yamamushi" and sometimes "Yamamushi-laptop" when I'm mobile.

I enjoy being outside to deal with stress, something about being stuck inside all of the time only contributes to my stress, so a nice walk outside is always relaxing. This may or may not be possible depending on where you live, but I'm out in the country so it seems to work for me.

Also working with my hands (dirty jokes aside), is very relaxing. The process of building something with my hands, even if its just a bookshelf, or restringing a guitar, is relaxing for me. It takes my mind off things while I focus on a task for an extended period of time. An idle mind leads to stress sometimes.

My favorite altcoin is Namecoin, because of the possibilities it provides for storing data.
8  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Mining - exponential backoff on: January 08, 2014, 10:13:23 AM
Falling back on a central authority, such as the Bitcoin Foundation, like you suggested is not acceptable. The Bitcoin Foundation is not in control of Bitcoin and plenty of people don't even like the Foundation (plus it's a purely American group).

Though discussions like this make it pretty clear that plenty of people believe the Bitcoin Foundation is the central authority.

I fail to see why so many newcomers see the lack of centralization as a fault with Bitcoin.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Holy Grail! I wish I could kiss the author of Bitmessage on his face. on: January 04, 2014, 08:18:11 AM
I can't wait to see what the near future holds for Moneychanger, and looking forward to your talk at the Austin Bitcoin Conference.

Howdy,

I'm a C++ developer, currently working on Open Transactions (specifically the Moneychanger Application https://github.com/Open-Transactions/Moneychanger).

My Github can be seen here, it's quite messy and old projects are unmaintained unfortunately :-(

https://github.com/yamamushi/

I organize and run Bitcoin Austin:

If anyone needs C++ work done, PM me Smiley
