Hey all, new here into mining. When using SMOS, tpruvot-2.1 miner, specifically with ANYTHING neoscrypt, I'm getting /root/xminer.sh: line 58: 18265 Illegal instruction $MINER_PATH $MINER_OPTIO NS
I've copied the same settings I have verified working on my local system, but for some reason with SMOS and this miner, it's a no go. Can anyone help?
*edit* Here is my connection string values
-a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://pool.unimining.net:4236 -u mywalletaddress -p c=GBX
try removing the "-p c=GBX" from the your line ensure no overclocks Nothing... here's the full text: *** ccminer 2.2 for nVidia GPUs by tpruvot@github config.json Built with the nVidia CUDA Toolkit 8.0 64-bits Originally based on Christian Buchner and Christian H. project Include some algos from alexis78, djm34, sp, tsiv and klausT. Restarting miner in 10 seconds -------------- Anyone? Anything? A number of us are having the same issues with ccminer, so far the best guess is the older version of ccminer used in SMOS maybe combined with processor? I have a rig with a full Ubuntu install and newer version of ccminer, when booted to the desktop I can mine just fine (obviously same MB, processor, cards, etc). Waiting on an update from tytanick on the inclusion of later versions of ccminer.. until then I'm stuck at equihash with ewbf.

Note, I re-flashed my drive with the latest SMOS version, but unfortunately did not resolve my 'Illegal Instruction' error in /root/xminer.sh, for anything under ccminer. ![Angry](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/angry.gif)

Can anyone give a successful connection string through ccminer-tpruvot-v2.1 / SMOS that they are using at the moment?
you can use v2.1 or the skunk one which I think is the v2.2 -a decred -o stratum+tcp://yiimp.eu:4252 -u DsdQVrhRVHitRWBMqRGA2QTSLDnAHJhgrRP -p x Hi citronick, unfortunately the yiimp pool returns the same errors as suprnova, using your connection string as above on both tpruvot and skunk: Illegal Instruction $MINER_PATH $MINER_OPTIONS :/ I think you need to re-create the usb stick again - download the NV image from simplemining webpage and let it do all the updates. Good luck! Just finished re-flashing the USB, same issues unfortunately. Nothing with ccminer will work through SMOS for me still (suprnova, yiimp, etc), I can only mine equihash with other miners. All of my connection strings work just fine through the rig's ubuntu terminal with ccminer installed. Could this be due to the use of ccminer 2.1 within SMOS? I have the newest version installed on the rig, which works great, 2.2.4. I do get this error below when extracting the file (downloaded the newest NV again), but after the error it extracts and flashes to the USB without further issues, and I can mine equihash no problem. ! C:\simpleminer-NV-v1118-kernel4.11.12-nvidia384.59-noae[Suspicious link removed]g.zip: The archive is corrupt btw, what coin are you trying to mine? what GPU? My mining attempts on SMOS have been primarily Vertcoin, LBRY, Decred (ccminer, both, unsuccessful) and ZClassic and ZEN (multiple miners, all successful). This is my first rig, running 2 MSI 1060s. I just upgraded from one old 960, have had the same situations for mining SMOS on both machine configs. All my connection strings continue to work successfully through the rig's full ubuntu desktop w/ccminer 2.2.3.

Hi, I`m trying to mine NeoScrypt coin using ccminer-tpruvot-v2.1. When CCMINER connects to pool i recieve error shown bellow: ============ Starting Miner =============== *** ccminer 2.2 for nVidia GPUs by tpruvot@github *** Built with the nVidia CUDA Toolkit 8.0 64-bits

My config line looks line this: -a neoscrypt -o stratum+tcp://eu1.miningpool.shop:4233 -u KI9gEKJgSCbAsYj6dwW4CrnxkM3hjwFADD -p c=GBX I tried to run ccminer from shell using putty to logon into SMOS miner. It looks like wrong compilation of CCMINER. I find something about this in google: An illegal instruction usually means the CPU hasn't implemented it, often when trying to ue AES instructions on a CPU that doesn't support AES. In this case it appears these AMD CPUs don't have the full SSE2 implementation.
Even if there was a way for the compiler to detect this condition the result would be a build without any optimizations, ie it would be the same as cpuminer-multi.
My recommendation is to use cpuminer-multi on those algos. So, anybody can help me to start mining neoscrypt coin? Tom Hey Tom, I'm having the same issue as you - I haven't found a resolution yet but it seems specific to ccminer.. My post from earlier: Hey guys, hoping someone can assist here..
In SMOS I cannot mine coins under the ccminer-tpruvot-v2.1 program (using supernova). However, ewbf-0.3.4b works fine for equihash through supernova.
For example my DCR connection in SMOS is:
-a decred -o stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -u user.miner -p minerpw
I receive the error in xminer.sh at line 58: Illegal Instruction $MINER_PATH $MINER_OPTIONS
This connection sting works fine on the rig's linux desktop through ccminer directly when SMOS is bypassed.
I've edited xminer.sh to display the variables, they list as:
MINER_PATH: /root/miner/ccminer-tpruvot-v2.1/ccminer MINER_OPTIONS: -a decred -o stratum+tcp://dcr.suprnova.cc:3252 -u user.miner -p minerpw
I just upgraded this rig (my first) from one old 960 nvidia card to dual 1060s. The error was present on both configurations, but otherwise mining works just fine for equihash/ewbf when booted from the SMOS USB, but not tpruvot..
