1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoinware.net possible scam beware !! on: June 14, 2017, 05:37:55 PM
Did you ever receive your order?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: bitcoinware.net on: June 14, 2017, 04:39:12 PM
Did anyone ever find a contact number for these guys? I have an address of 10 Navy Wharf Court, Toronto but can't reach them regarding an order. They accepted my money within a couple hours (Interac E-Transfer) but since then it's been radio silence.

How long until we see something similar?

Also, last I heard from the MSD was that there was a hearing scheduled for September 9th. Anyone have any info on that?

EDIT: The MSD has told me it has been continued to November 18th, 2014.

I think the BitcoinTalk staff should tell us what accounts have logged in from Ken's IP - he's obviously watching this thread.
5  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: July 09, 2014, 02:27:45 PM
I asked the MSD if they knew anything or had any updates:

Quote
Hi toastee,

All of our investigations are closed, so the only information I can share is that the investigation is ongoing.

However, any orders issued by the Commissioner is public information and the most recent activity was on July 2, 2014 when the Commissioner set a pre-hearing conference date of July 15, 2014 and a hearing date of September 9, 2014.

I hope this was useful.

Thanks,

Shawn

Has anyone actively given Shawn your personal information.  I know we have speculated it is not illegal to buy shares, but have we verified this?

This is the information he is asking from me:

Quote
We would like to know more about your investment with Ken Slaughter and Active Mining Corporation(“AMC”).

If you could provide the following information it  would be greatly appreciated:

-          Date shares were purchased
-          How and where were the shares were purchased –
-          What convinced you to buy  shares in AMC
-          Who provided information to you regarding the investment
-          What evidence of purchase do you have, documents, etc.
-          Did  you review any offering materials before purchasing shares
-          Are you an accredited investor
-          Any additional information you can supply regarding what you were led to believe about Ken Slaughter, AMC or the investment, including any untrue statements
-          Your contact information, address, phone, etc.

I've given Shawn my personal information including

First/Last Name
Address
Phone Number

He said he would be sending an email asking for what you just posted in the future. I guess I'll start writing it up based on your post to get a head start.

I'm assuming the
"-          Are you an accredited investor" has you hung up.

I imagine this is to show that Ken was asking money from people he should not have been (non accredited investors)

I've done the same, and I am not American.

Well most of the ipo people are probably out.

Also I will hold and hope for the best. Don't want to be sending all my info to some suit in US.

Hahahaha nope.

So most of the press release is a copy and paste job. In this one they directly tell you within there investigation there was a misuse of the money raised. They looked at the Woman's bank account and noticed irregularities. This kind of thing was not mentioned in the press release relating to ACTM.

Ken is being fined for securities violations - we get that, we all knew the risks. Even if they were not underlined by Ken.
There has been nothing that indicated Ken is actively scamming us, merely a man trying his hardest with a start up in a tough industry.
Bad communication but currently mining and boards in stock.

I'm leaning towards agreeing with this, but I don't know if the MSD would have had access to the financial statements to know if he was scamming us or not. I feel like if they had that info already, we would too.

First of all, I don't want to do business with bitpay because they are in bed with BFL.  Second, there are a lot of other things going on in the background that need to be taken care of, i.e datacenter, cash flow, lawyers, MSD, customer service, just to name a few.

There will be nothing in the background if we don't fix the foreground. People cannot and will not buy product if the website is:

a) Unstable
b) Outdated
c) Displaying inaccurate products/pricing
d) Just flat out not fucking working.

If you want my two cents, ditch this prestashop bullshit and just open a Shopify store. Bitcoin integration and full accounting already built-in. Pretty templates, stable code-base, less installation and worry for you. It will free up some time to do these things in the background.

Will we get a reply to the email sent saying true shares have been transferred?

Yes, just wait it out. I (and many others) already got mine.
12  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: May 08, 2014, 03:37:33 PM
What if you can't log back into bitfunder because of 2fa and password issues.  I used the same email with b itfunder as I did with c-t.  I know how many shares I have and everything except the bitfunder info.  How do I proceed.

I had the same issue, click help on the bitfunder page and use the embedded irc window. Talk to Ukyo and explain the situation. He responded to me and fixed it within 15 minutes

i can't get the irc window to work. any idea how i can verify my account, i have the same issue as above. is a signed message from your wallet good enough?

I also have this issue and Ukyo has not responded in my many attempts to get my 2FA removed.

I had a hard time getting a hold of him as well, but mention his name in #bitfunder on IRC and PM him - he'll sort it out.

Hell has officially frozen over. THANK YOU KEN for finally acting on this.
16  Economy / Securities / Re: The Lawyer on: May 02, 2014, 04:24:31 PM
This lawyer from Wood is doing a consumer case. Nothing to do with securities regulations which are procecuted by Federal or State agencies like the MSD. The lawyer has no ability to harm this companys trading except sue for damages for unshipped miners or unfulfilled refunds (possibly lost divs) - which may amount to a few k dollars per claimant. That is why he wants all the shareholders names so he can contact them all and persuade them to sue the company for as much money as possible. He has zero ability to implement any restructuring of the company, liquidate the company, have accounts done, make Ken shine his shoes.

He strung you along like a fish. The more names you give him the more money he will make and the more money actm will loose in damages. If you want the company to succeed and not be bankrupted by Woods case then do not talk to him again.

You should know this it was made clear a few days ago.

Seriously Lorenzo. I like you and all but how did you not see right through this?
17  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 23, 2014, 03:31:25 AM
Ken likes to delete posts. These deletions include posts that I feel are entirely relevant and make reasonable assumptions and place fair criticism on the actions of Ken and ACTM/VMC.

@Ken: if you feel this post does not belong in your moderated thread, please state why. Quote whatever portions of it ARE fair, and answer to the criticisms as best as you can. If nothing else, and my post must be removed entirely, at least answer to this:

WHERE ARE THE FINANCIAL REPORTS THAT YOU SELF_IMPOSED AN APRIL 1ST DEADLINE FOR?

The general theory is that the reports are being withheld until the MSD investigation is over.

PS. Ken doesn't moderate this thread and you aren't even a shareholder Smiley
18  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 17, 2014, 02:41:02 PM
I want my shares trading as much as the next guy, but a lot of you do not understand the legal ramifications of this shit. If the MSD is still actively investigating ActiveMining, Ken is protecting himself, the company, and us from a lot of trouble by leaving it as-is and letting the lawyers figure it out. This is a brand new industry in a legal gray area, you can't treat it like a blue chip investment, and that's precisely the argument his lawyers are likely making right now.

You all need to wake up to reality and be patient. It's very clearly not a scam. Inconvenient and beyond schedule to the point of almost incompetence, sure, but just chill the fuck out. It will happen when it happens.

This argument would have more weight if shares weren't already trading right now. The problem is that some shareholders can trade while others are prevented.

Good point i didn't think about before. If its legally risky to trade shares then ken would have to stop trading shares completely. It wouldn't make a difference at all if he allows all shares to trade now. In this light it looks like he wants to save work or something.

The "leaving it as it is" part is significant... otherwise if under current or threat of investigation it looks like you've got something to hide when you start shuffling shit around.  So it could be "hands off" mode until there's a resolution.

It's similar to the situation where it's perfectly legal to move your cellphone from your right pants pocket to your left pants pocket, but if you do it while a cop is approaching you with a gun it's fucking stupid.

Good analogy - I agree this is likely what we're seeing here.
19  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] Official Shareholder Discussion Thread [Moderated] on: April 17, 2014, 02:06:39 PM
i'm pretty sure the SEC isnt going to like any option other than trading on a US regulated stock exchange.

Well they can suck a fat one because it's not an American company.

If that's the case then keen shouldn't tell us that he would get the shares up last week.

And it wouldn't make much sense to have some shares trading if he wasn't sure if he is legally allowed to.

At the very least he should let us verify or shares so he can be ready to pay dividends and make sure it's all in order.

I agree, but I'm sure there are circumstances that he can't really post in a public forum which the MSD, etc are undoubtedly watching. I agree that trading should be shut down on the other sites, I don't understand why it's running there. If we had a private forum just for confirmed shareholders as opposed to bitcointalk I think we we would see a little bit more information.

Ken is trying to do too many things at once, and we want things done quickly. Those are conflicting interests. If things are going to get done quicker he needs to hire people, and hiring people comes out of our dividends. Less dividends = unhappy shareholders and longer before he's actually making any money himself. He likely believes it is in the best interest of the company that he personally does as much as humanly possible, but he's only one man.

This is not to say that our supposedly existing personnel couldn't be put to better use, but for better or worse Ken is doing 1000 things right now and we need to understand that.
