Almost all file custodians are synced right now, except http://show-me-the-devcoin.info who's custodian I can't reach. If you know how to contact that person, please help us. Also, we have some little -yet very important- changes to the source code. I have updated the default seed nodes, DNS seeds and receiver files mirrors in the source code, given that we had many of them not working any longer. A detail of the changes can be found here: https://github.com/devcoin/core/commits/masterAll wallet testers along Windows and Linux administrators, please build the latest version of Devcoin from https://github.com/devcoin/core/ master branch, and report your findings in the issue queue: https://github.com/devcoin/core/issues/newGo go Devcoin! - develCuy What about Mac OS users? The GUI wallet looks old as heck. Any updates?

any help with mac os wallet? still have yet to find any help and the wallet that is on the devcoin website looks ancient and hard to use. where can i store my dvc until something is better built? any cold storage as it feels like my coins are not safe.

|
|
Well. Why will Altilly delist DVC? What happened?
I think its due to no movement of the coin. also it seems someone is hoarding the coin and wants to do a "fake coin" on loan while they hold their coins, is what i read above. at least that is how i read it. lol seems shady either way.

Man I read the 1st page and now read this last page and I have so much disappointment. It’s still at around $1 to trade? And it’s a dead project? Wow. Looking back it seems this was a typical make a coin out of thin air and then sell it off to get money and disappear?

I just created a new Devcoin telegram chat. we need some tech people to help spread the word. I think this is a good project yet it has no traction, I am in a lot of active groups who are looking for the next best thing and i think devcoin is it. Help me spread the word in the social media aspect. lets educate the world!
lets work out a reward mechanism for this group to create content and pay out in devcoin from the foundation? is that able to be done?
i will stake real money right now to help the project grow.
lets face it, the twitter kind of sucks. lets get some engagement and wake this giant!!! who is with me?
Is this telegram room a secret or can you post the link? Thanks. just wanted you to want it bad enough since I dont see alot of engagement. lol. I would love to see this whole team here join as telegram is busy if done right. also the old telegram chat is an announcements page so no one else can post. and its been dead. so dont know who mods that one. here is the group: t.me/devtome

um, I checked my mac gui wallet that i downloaded here at the devcoin dot org web wallet link and it no longer opens and isnt compatible with mac os! what can i do to get access to it? I see the concept of the conversation of wanting to get more people to join devcoin, i would want to help with that but i think i lost my coins due to this gui mac os wallet no longer opens for me.
this isnt good for those new coming into the scene. any help is greatly appreciated.
I have an old mac kicking round, i'll have a go at running the client and restoring a wallet on that this weekend and see if I have any issues. Fuzzybear that would be helpful as i was able to open my wallet in the gui but it wont let me see my amount in the wallet but i see it on the block explorer.

Can’t anyone help me understand the Devcoin wallet? How does one get it back if their computer fails them? When I created a wallet here http://devcoin.org/devcoin-wallet.html it never gave me the ability to create a passphrase or password or even if this is the public or private wallet. I have been searching for devcoin useability but it seems like it’s pretty technical and not as easy as other coins. Been on devtome.com as well and kind of hard to find anything there as well. Any help is greatly appreciated. Hi orimar. You can find a great HOWTO about the DevCoin wallet from a post of cpol a while ago. Here is the link: https://steemit.com/busy/@cpol/how-to-compile-your-very-own-devcoin-wallet-in-ubuntu-18-04Just like a BTC wallet you would want to backup wallet.dat which is normally in a hidden folder in the home directory. On Linux it would be .devcoin Hope that helps. I am not sure how to check the wallet.dat file on a mac. also the mac GUI wallet gave me an address. - Nova Thanks! this seems to be for Linux OS? I have a mac OS and I can't seem to find anything online as to help me with it. I have the wallet installed and have an address. so i moved my dev coin to this address and my wallet doesnt show the transaction but a search on the blockexplorer shows the coins there. I think something is wrong with the wallet interface as it looks a bit "out dated". Yes the HOWTO of cpol takes place on the Ubuntu release of Linux. Best to double check that your new installation uses the same receiving keys (wallet.dat) as you used when sending the coins. - Nova How does this help me on the mac os side? I cannot find my wallet.dat file. the GUI mac oS gave me a address.

Hey, fyi, the discord channel doesnt work either.

Your wallet info is in the wallet.dat file in the Roaming director (if Windows), I think. If you do not have that file, you are a long way from recovering your old wallet.
I have the Mac OS version. Also there isnt any instructions of each platform to use. I used the GUI version as i wasnt sure what the other version was for.

PM me your private key, I can probably take care of that for you. no thanks! lol. plus the official wallet from devcoins website doesnt have a "private" wallet but just to encrypts it. i sent my coins from the exchange to this wallet and looked at the block explorer but i do not see it in my wallet on my computer. whats up with that?
