1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Workers support -- in node-cryptonote-pool pool script on: January 03, 2018, 10:05:38 PM
I'm going to respond to this, because I'm looking for the same thing.... and every post I see about it goes unanswered.  I think this may be a mod, but you can get node.js with this feature - https://github.com/Snipa22/nodejs-pool

I mined 7400 ETN on my first day of mining..... using CPU, and a measly 300H/s ... luck? for sure...

I'm running 7KH/sec with CPUs mining our XMR pool.  We do plan to add a GPU mining rig if/when we solve a block.

At current prices, it appears to be about 1000$ per year, per 1KH/sec (XMR).  You can obtain 1KH/sec (we are using XMRIG/Ubuntu) with Dual Xeon E5-2695 v2s on a monero pool.

This isn't viable for most people though... you pretty much do need free power (although I'm fairly certain our power costs are not near 7K a year), and access to a decent amount of hardware.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / questions about Monero pool setup on: December 27, 2017, 07:00:14 AM
My buddy and I just setup a pool and are mining it at about 7 KH/sec.  I have some questions about what i see in the screen logs.  Everything appears to be working, but I suppose we wont know for sure, until we mine our first block, if we ever do.

Broadcasting to x visitors and 1 address lookups.
I see this often, but the x hardly ever matches the number of devices we have mining.  Each device is using the same Monero address, and the wallet setup on the pool is also setup with this address.

No block candidates in redis
what does this mean?  I can't seem to find much information on this.

Do i have to have the monero-wallet-rpc daemon started in order for the pool to send the reward after a block is mined?  I noticed this is specified on the how-to for the Electroneum pool, but i don't see any mention of it on the Monero pool guide.  I have payments disabled since we are using the same address for all miners.

In general, how do we know its working properly?  Other than the miners looking like they are doing their job, and no glaring issues on the pool, is there a test that can be ran to ensure things are functioning properly?
