same problem, anyone have more nodes? dev?

The weird thing is that I get connections, but nothing is downloading.  It has a pass through the firewall...   I'm at a loss (out of ideas) right now.

No worries!!  When the client won't sync, I have always just exited, and reopened.  Seems to do the trick.

Now all we need is to get this on an exchange!!!

No... I've exited and reopened a few times...... and redownloaded the client 3 times and scoured this post for every addnode I can and left it running for hours hoping it would sync up.   No luck, whatsoever.  Had this problem with the Argentium wallet, too... would not (never ever after probably a dozen re-installs and every addnode I could find) sync past block 499 and with the new Protoshares wallet.  Luckily, the new Protoshares wallet has a version with live node hardcoded in and that one worked for me.  The other 43 currencies I've either bought or mined haven't been a problem, just WUBS, ARG, and PTS.

... Sorry, didn't mean to cramp your style... I only have about 150 kh/s pointed there until I can figure out how to get this damn blockchain to start downloading.  I've had as many as 3 connections to the network at once, but no blocks being downloaded :S

Wondering if we might get some of the other Scrypt coins added to at least the 'manual pools'
...like Spots Tongue

I'm all for choices, but I mined almost 6k Spots at low difficulty.  I generally hold my coins, but I've been discouraged by their thread here at bitcointalk so I dumped them all this morning and probably won't be mining anymore.  Like I said, though, it's not like I'm voting against the idea.  I seem to remember flound said Spots wouldn't go on the multiport because the coin is unsuitable, but these manual pools might change the equation Cheesy

Has the TIP pool been upgraded to v0.43 yet?

Diff still showing the old value.

I don't think it is- seems coins are not being confirmed. I have over 100k unconfirmed coins. Plus, over 3 hours since last found block.  I've moved my miners.

its a freakin joke wasting my hashpower on a coin that has 4X as many coins as ifc (example not fact).  Who the hell is going to pay .01btc per coin.  At that payout I'm sitting on a small fortune.. If it looks to good to be true, it is.. Recommending doge taken off the multiport until its been traded on cryptsy or another exchange for a few days.

There actually were people buying veeeery small amounts of DOGEcoin from 0.08 BTC - 0.01 BTC/DOGE.  Those trades are where the high profitability rating was coming from.  If, at that time, you sold 100 DOGE instantly, it would have driven the price down to under 0.0001 BTC each- and that's exactly what happened.  I was waiting on a 10,000 DOGE transfer to go through at that time, but it took almost an hour.  Apparently, they had so many DOGE deposits that it was taking forever.  I was lucky to sell mine at over 0.000001.  I have buy orders now at IFC prices... just gotta wait.  Bad move, I think, adding DOGE to the multiport before the Cryptsy market reached an equilibrium through market depth.  Seriously, if selling 100 DOGE would have driven down the price to 1/100th of where it was before the trade, then there is no market depth.  That would be like selling 100 BTC and it goes from $600 to $6.

Edit: Ok, maybe it wasn't that bad of a move- I mean, I don't know how quickly Cryptsy is processing deposits now (it was about 3 hours ago that I was trying to deposit my DOGE), but if the instant-sell feature is still relatively prompt, then you're still getting twice the BTC you would from mining other coins.

504 Gateway Time-out   Undecided

Yes, here, too.  Seemed like my GPUs were still hashing accepted shares, but I switch to ANC pool for the time being.  I'll keep checking back.

Is there an active pool for this coin?

Yes:  spt.coinmine.pl

Coinmine.pl has a lot of pools, go there to see all of them.  I don't mine Spots there, but I do use them for a large number of SHA coins.

I don't know what IGotSpots is actually doing, but the cryptsy.com price has increased several fold over the past couple of days.

1. I'm not sure why demurrage should matter unless you plan to hold the FRC for a long period of time.
2. I agree with you on PPC but not BTC.  Bitcoin blocks are found by P2pool fairly regularly and any shares you submit will be paid on a proportional basis whenever a block si found (p2pool finds blocks whether the multiport is on BTC or not)  PPcoin difficulty seems to have skyrocketed recently and I'm not sure why as it's been mostly unprofitable to mine, but it should definitely help a lot when we get more hashrate.

I am looking at other new coins to add to the multiport but I will likely avoid coins with too low difficulty (like ZET and UNO currently) unless they have difficulty adjustment algorithms that are more favorable to multimining.

I do plan to hold my coins for a long time, with few exceptions.  I guess I could make FRC one of those exceptions.  I get your point about steady difficulty coins being unsuitable for the multiport, but UNO fluctuates regularly between 5k and 60k.  Looking back at the graph it looks like as high as 105k sometimes.  Maybe my gauge is off, but that's a pretty big fluctuation in my mind.

Could not find the main class: Nxt.  Program will exit.

Ok, durr, I added the quotes... now it says the same thing for me as CoinBuzz's does.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Nxt] Giveaway on: November 24, 2013, 05:17:17 PM
It won't let me... it makes me include C:\Windows\System32.  If I start back at C:\ it says, "not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file."
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Nxt] Giveaway on: November 24, 2013, 05:08:54 PM
Help, please, I can't get cmd.exe to run it, it keeps saying file not found

It gives me: C:\Windows\System32

I've been adding:   \Java\jre7\bin\java.exe -cp Nxt.zip Nxt       or      \Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe -cp Nxt.zip Nxt

It keeps saying file not found.  The actual file location for java.exe is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe

What am I doing wrong?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: November 24, 2013, 10:48:26 AM

It is impossible the way things are currently architected.

I'd have to create individual multiports for each user.  It's a feature I have considered adding in the past, but have not had time to fully investigate what it would take or decide on a design.

In other news, I am reconsidering adding per-coin autoexchange to BTC, and doing it a bit differently than the other pools.  Stay tuned.

I'm far from a coder, but it seems to me that it would be quite complicated.  It would also be nice if, in addition to turning off coins you're not interested in mining, you were able to tune the profit algorithm to put more weight on either the difficulty or the sell price, whichever is more important to you.  I'm excited to see what new features you add in relation to an auto-exchange, but it's probably nothing I would use - I use multiport to mine the coins when difficulty is low and just save them, so I have very little interest in an auto-exchange.

A while ago it was mentioned we would have the ability to choose which coins we wanted to mine for scrypt.  Is this still in the works or has it fallen to the waysite now that btc is in the spotlight?

I would also like to be able to choose to exclude a coin from the multiport.  Don't have any idea how feasible it is, though.

I've got some exciting news about the SHA-256 Multiport!

We've reached 29.41 BTC worth of payouts.  Once the next P2pool block is scored, (i.e. tomorrow morning), I'll be switching the BTC payouts to proportional scoring over an average day's worth of P2Pool blocks (so 2 blocks at the moment), to approximately match P2pool's 24 hour PPLNS.

Starting this Sunday, 11/24, the pool fee for all SHA-256 coins will be reduced to 0%, and it will remain at 0% until January 1, 2014.  There will be a separate announcement around this, but I wanted to post it here first so you are all aware.  We have a miner with approximately 5TH that will be joining us on Sunday and they will be posting their own announcement as well to encourage other miners to join us.

Any plans on adding other SHA-256 coins soon?  I've been mining UNO, ZET, ASC, and XJO, with interest in trying out DEM and TGC.  I may also be open to OSC and TEK, but they confuse me.  Right now, two things prevent me from using the SHA-256 multiport: 1) FRC's demurrage feature and 2) long block times on PPC and BTC.

We're still under DOS attack on the mining ports.  I will be implementing a more permanent fix for this tonight.

I really hope so- the problems persists for me on FTC, WDC, and DGC.  And the pool spends so much time on FTC (blech) and WDC that even if I do manage to hop into the pool, one of those coins soon kicks me right back out.

I've been mining on the multiport on and off since the fix went through and haven't been kicked once.  Thank you.

Yeah... for over 4 hours now I've been connected to the pool with no D/Cs.  In that time the pool has switched to all the coins with which I was having problems.  Looks like a solid fix Smiley Thank you!
