Titan RMA demands are mounting on the KNC forum (topic: Titan 300 MH/s Titan Firmware 1.03 and bfgminer version 4.8 still restarting.) customer RHoHo This is simply a BS method.... I'm getting VERY frustrated now, and would like that KnC takes a real action: not fumbling with FW versions but RMA faulty cubes....
customer dexu You're right RHoHo, same thing with me..
customer pcdinh I got the same issue
This is a total cLuStErFuCk. Makes a fella thankful that he hasn't received his Titan (Brace for the Impact) yet. <--- 2Boards on RMA

It is now Q4. Has anyone received what they consider to be a fully functional Titan from KNC yet ?
yes, i do have one fully functional Titan, however i got another 4 titan which fucked up on hand

4 TITANS : two on 330mhs and two on 220mhs That's two 220mhs actually running fine, but they just keep restart makes a avg hash 220hash shown on pool
what pool? changed to coinotron 1 of 4 titans cant even connect to wemineltc i have no idea why okay, one board fucked up, cant detect any cube anymore

runnning off enermax 1500w platimax..
try these pools.. all worked for me so far.. also make sure to keep resetting to factory defaults once you've upgraded fw to 1.02.. not sure what fixed my earlier problem so i did these things: - changed ports - kept resetting to factory defaults of both advanced page and the system

i still didnt get my titan WTF!
Don't worry, you aren't alone. I'd be surprised if those incompetent fucks at KNC have sent 20 out so far. You should be happy not to be a guinea pig !! Those who have got Titans (like me), have spend days in frustration to get it working.... Two problems: 1) Not all cubes work well (they dump BFGminer), and it costs a hell of a time to find the problem ones. 2) when you found a working set, you will have trouble to find a Pool which can handle your speed. Most of them especially the Multi-switching pools are not usable. All in all I lost at least 4 days of my life, and have 2 Cubes who need to RMA. i have 4 titans up atm, and two of them is not so stable , they are keeping restart BFGminer or speed drop. only two titans are running smooth, still wasting life on them

not sure if this matters with your power supply but are you using Y adapters?
No - I use the standard cables - was not prepared for additional cables. This may be the issue. Dunno - Thing is... yesterday it worked. Today not and nothing has changed in the setup... Are they overheat or something? Cables seem ok, Asic temp never reaches >50C (due to BFG Miner shutdown after few sec) Dunno whats wrong - even if I just plug in one cube with 50mhz BFGMiners restarts after 10 sec - lets hope for a quick firmware update. Right now I need to shut down the Titan - not worth running it lol i got same problem now, it slowed to 50mhs after it works for one fuckin night

using 2 corsair 1200i's with y 16awg cables on Titan
SKIP this post if it does not apply or you don't care just in case someone is also setting up what they can before the DIY NO ROI Titan lands on their doorstep
I am using one acbel 1100w + CM 550W, so far all PSU are fine

firmware is bad , unstable hash on most of pools could we create a list of pool which titan could run properly atm? (still not sure yet, but none of those auto-switch pool / multi-pool works on my titans)
1) wemineltc 2) coinotron

Anyone is experiencing the restarting issue getting worse? Yesterday I had restarts every 2-3 minutes avgr. in ~200mhz for a Titan over a couple of hours. Today its not even running 10 sec. before restarting avgr. in ~50mhz for a Titan. On every pool I try. This is also independent from the count of Cubes connected? are you sure all cubes are working? Some tips for ppl who is setting up titan 1) ribbon cables got two side, they are not the same 2) sometimes the pcie slot might be fucked up, make sure to try every single spot on the controller 3) don't forget update the firmware to 1.02 4) you are able to use more than one psu to power them ( i am using 2-3 psu for one titan) 5) firmware is kinda unstable atm, using auto-switch pool might cause a 40% drop of hash ( not sure yet, but i am fine with WeMinerLtc )

i found some of those controller were fucked, am i able to connect more than 4 cubes to other controller? so i dont have to waste some hash
|

I would love to find a place that makes longer ribbon cables for the Titan/Neptune miners.
Thanks,
is ribbon cables the only name? i might be able to get some if i get the correct name i agree it is too damn short

what pools are people using so i can just skip the frustration (assuming I can "get it up' so to speak ....Titan I mean!) *hey...there was a day when i'd get some asic hardware and get a bit of a 'asic woody' alas ......those days seem be gone with the stress of getting them going* i can still remember you Searing, you helped me quite a lot when i first got my jupiter i am using wemineltc atm but i will test those auto-switch pool after i set up all titan on hand

@loktang1125
two of your cubes are fucked.
no, i found it is about ribbon cables slot, some of them are working i changed about 10 cubes on those two slot and all of them shown 50mhz even those cubes are working on other ribbon cables so the controller is fucked? maybe, still testing them
