Noone here can tell you which alts with 100x - very low MC coins can often be seen as shitcoins, scams and pump & dumps but that being said, there will be some gems. Dont buy anything that someone if pushing you to buy - do your own research on certain coins, checking out their team, their product, their roadmap etc.

Me personally, my portfolio consists of BTC, LINK, WAVES, VET and a couple very low MC coins (CasinoCoin CSC and OriginTrail TRAC) which I think have lots of potential to increase in price due to their product and well connected team team.

This project seems to be flying under the razor and they appear to have a pretty solid team with the the most notable name being the Chief CryptoCurrency Officer: Daesik Kim...founder and former ceo of Bithumb.

I agree...if you invest you have to be prepared for the worst.

Maybe I’m delusional but I feel that cryptocurrency will rise and those that invest in good projects will be rewarded one day...whether that be in a month, 2 months, year or couple years. I have 10 coins/projects that Ive invested in, there used to be loads more but I’ve recently trimmed it down and narrowed down my portfolio to coins which I really believe in. Because I believe in them, during these dips I’ve been buying to lower my average. I know shit could hit the fan at any point and my money disappeared but I have faith that the market will pick up.

If you invest in something that you believe in instead of just investing in something because rumour has it that it will moon then you tend to not to worry so much as you know eventually you’ll be rewarded. And if you really believe in a project and the price keeps dipping, buy more to average down should you have money available.

What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.

What’s everyone’s views on this?

That’s what’s I have been doing....I bought most of my coin unfortunately at a fairly high price but I’ve been buying more at these low prices.

I bought waves near enough at its ath at around $13

I did by more though when it dipped but still my average is pretty damn high.

Although Waves hasn’t gone in the direction price wise as I would have liked and thought it would go, I’m still holding out. Doesn’t really matter if I’m holding out till end of year or even next. I put in what I could afford and believe it will go up in price, it’s just about the log game for me. I’ll be holding long term and hopefully it will pay off!!

I’ve been using the Delta app which I find really easy to use and clearly displays profits, prices and percentages. Would definitely recommend this app.
