1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 👽 [ANN][BIS]Bismuth - New Language, Free DAPPs, Cryptopia, HEAT on: January 22, 2018, 11:37:23 PM
I'm not seeing anything about delisting.  Just says this for me;

Market Paused

Withdrawals do not broadcast to the network, trading suspended until problem is resolved

Looks like they are addressing the problem, hope nobody looses any good coinage.  These suckers are going to be worth a fortune someday.

It is marked 'in process of being delisted' in the coininfo page.

Lots of coins have the status of delisting on the coininfo page including Qtum and Pascalcoin. You really think tehey're dumping all these markets? I doubt it personally.

Good FUD tho, I'll be ready to buy these at the bottom when they come back online.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: "Powerless" GPUs for mining? on: December 31, 2017, 08:16:26 AM
Are there any "powerless" (draw power from mobo only, not psu) GPUs that are worth mining with?

Any reason why you don't want to consider cards that require supplementary 6 or 8 pin power? I would think most limitations (such as the lack of the necessary connectors or other PSU-related constraints) could be solved easily.

I was looking through mining hardware on Amazon and saw a pic in someone's review of a mining rig that had 6 or 8 cards with no PSU connectors. There was a stack of boxes in the pic with AMD RX GPUs but I couldn't see the model due to the size of the pic. There was just something about the simplicity of the rig that appealed to me and wanted to figure out what he was using.

Of course you are correct regarding the supplementary power connectors. I just figured maybe the GPUs that don't require them may be more efficient and less expensive. Figured there was something I was missing going on there.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Remotly restart mining whenever GPUs crashing on: December 30, 2017, 10:39:24 PM
If it's just the miner thats crashing (and you're running windows) make a mine.bat file like this

:start
ethminer.exe -whatever -parameters
goto start

Run mine.bat from cmd

Or in Linux make mine.sh file

while true; do
    whatevercommandtostartminer
done

then from shell, chmod 755 mine.sh
and then from shell execute ./mine.sh

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mine LTC with antminer L3 or mine ether with GPUs - need help on: December 30, 2017, 10:32:28 PM
GPU mining gives you lots of options on what coins you want to mine. ETH is not the most profitable crypto to mine with a GPU. If you want a GPU you can actually get your hands on, check out NVIDIA GTX 1060/1070/1070ti/1080 etc.

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How do you find new coins to mine with low difficulty? on: December 28, 2017, 06:40:39 PM
I was kind of hoping I wouldn't have to camp out all day to find new coins  Grin I guess if there was an easier way everyone would be all over it and it wouldn't be worth it. Thanks for the replies!
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best mining rig for $4000/5000 on: December 28, 2017, 07:25:00 AM
Don't think you can mine erc20. Pretty sure they ride on the ethereum network. A lot of miners seem to prefer the AMD cards, which makes them really hard to come by at a good price. gtx 1060 (6GB!), gtx 1070, gtx 1080ti are a lot easier to come by. In my own personal experience, I've made more per day mining on NiceHash than I've made mining eth on a pool. 5 1080tis could probably pull $35+ per day on NiceHash. Could buy a rig with 5 1080tis for under $5k so your payback would be about 4-5 months, speculatively. I'm sure others can provide a lot more info regarding this. Good luck!
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How do you find new coins to mine with low difficulty? on: December 28, 2017, 07:16:10 AM
How do you go about finding new coins to mine that have very low difficulty? Or find out about a coin to mine on the very first day or first few days mining becomes available?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] [BOUNTY] SALPay Tokens: The best ICO you've never heard of on: December 28, 2017, 06:54:30 AM
Really great idea, hard to tell what its all about without a little digging. A little more info in the thread would be nice.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BitSynq2 Information on: December 28, 2017, 06:43:18 AM
Why not just start an entirely new coin that isn't already sullied with a bad reputation? Even if you want to use the same technology why not rebrand the entire thing? I know I wouldn't want to be in the position of trying to appease investors of a project I wasn't responsible for.

Really like the looks of this project so far. So much so that I decided to finally register on here after lurking for months and post in tread as my first post.  Cool Extremely undervalued on the market so far. I saw it at $5 mill market cap the other day and before I could get around to buying any it almost doubled in value. I'm guessing this one will be around $5-6 (or more) by February. Add a few more exchanges and I think it could 20x pretty fast. Nice one to hodl.
