Trevon James and cryptonick etc etc will face a probable jail time for promoting a Ponzi if anyone decides to press charges on them
2  Economy / Exchanges / Bithumb level 2 verification on: January 14, 2018, 04:54:08 PM
Hello it is really not possible for a foreigner to get level 2 verification on Bithumb?
I have read their terms of use like 20 times by now and I can’t see anything regarding foreigner not being able to get level 2 verification, besides it doesn’t make any sense being able to create an account using my Portuguese cellphone number if they don’t accept foreigners, and I have been reasearching and I find people saying it can’t be done and others saying that it just takes time.
Anyway I uploaded the documents needed and send them, I sent an email too yesterday but no response so far.
If anyone can clarify this for me I would be grateful thank you
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Who is making trading volume? on: January 06, 2018, 06:57:29 AM
I am a newbie still studying all of this but I came across something that is boggling my mind... in Gate.io you cannot deposit nor withdraw ripple for some time now but still it has 400k volume in 24h, who is buying and selling ripple there? Please don’t say people who already got ripple there cause there is no point in buying ripple if you can’t get it out, you would end up just paying fees for nothing.
Could this volume be fake? If so could other exchanges that have the same problem (no D/W) do the same thing just to rank higher on trading volume?

I have been searching in coinone and I don’t see anything about thedeposits being disable, what is your exchange? And you being limited to 1million won per day is because you don’t have the phone number verified right?

Thank you

But i am not getting one thing the withdrawls problems are only in krw?
I mean can i buy bitcoin with it and take my bitcoin out? Or do I need to prove that I am a “korean citizen” even for Cryptocurrencies?
Like coinone had a limit when you would verify a phone number. Does that limit still apply? Could I buy bitcoin back and take it little by little?

I would think this is because you are using an exchange where you do not actually own the coins, you are purely opening a position as to how well they are going to do.
it could be that but think with me if they are only opening positions an not trading really then there is no logic in accepting deposits on EOS.
an example BTC/EOS if they are just opening positions and not trading i would deposit btc do a trade an when i take profit from that i will take profit in btc not in eos and the opposite is aslo true if they are opening positions just like the forex market if i deposit eos and trade the profit will be in eos because this is not an actual trade. regarding that it is useless to accept deposits in eos because if you want to especulate in BTC/EOS you do that with btc
the same way in forex when you deposit dollars then you open a trade in EUR/USD you will not get eur for that trade

hello here are the ones that are in the top ten of volume in coinmarketcap but do this. all of them accept deposits in the following coins but will not let withdraw them,. bithumb: EOS BTG    huobi: NEO ICX GAS NAS binance does this aswell but they explain such as high transactions volume so withdraw is temporarily suspended. there are many other in the top 20 that do this but it takes a lot of time to check them all out again Smiley

Hello guys I am very very new to this crypto world and I have a question that I still can’t get an answer for so please help me out here.
Why do some exchanges allow to deposit xrp (for example) but do not let you withdraw it?
I mean if I want xrp to hold it why the hell don’t they allow me to withdraw it to my wallet and needs to be in their site? It’s not only xrp there many coins in many exchanges like this
Thank you

And happy new year to you all

Ps: I already asked this question to many exchanges and no replies so far
