Good website and project. Interested in helping us developing?

Unfortunately we have our hands full with this walletchecker-com project. Thank you for the offer, Code Coin looks like a really cool project with potential.

what is youre site
block explorer this mean can check balance my coin and my transaction
why only bitcoin block

Hello, the site is walletchecker.com, you may use it to check your balance on several bitcoin forks with one click. If you register you can save several wallets and keep tabs on them easily. We are focusing on bitcoin and it's forks for now but there is no reason why we could not expand to other coins and their forks such as litecoin and ethereum.

We hope you find it useful...

Hello,

Very nice website!  I've been meaning to go through my addresses and figure out what's what with all these forks.  People will really like this.

As for suggestions, I guess when you are able add some styling over the basic bootstrap code, but that's appearance, not functionality (so in my book it's lower priority).  Honestly, I'm not the best when it comes to UX, I leave that to the amazing graphic designers, but maybe you're better at it than I am.  Or maybe you can find someone that's willing to help your project by giving you some fancy CSS and/or template HTML to drop in.

I think the idea of having prices would be awesome, but I read and understand what you mean about the extra overhead and API calls.  Possibly a compromise would be to set up a separate cron job to run on a periodic basis (hourly maybe), that would grab the current price for each coin and then you could do the math based on the balances.  It's not real-time but it's a pretty good gauge of the price if it's just an hour delayed, and that wouldn't add too much overhead I wouldn't think.

The only other thing I can think of off-hand is, here's the ad that displays here on the forum about a wallet splitting service:

Loading ad from BCT...

I think I know what most of those ticker symbols are, but not all of them lol.  But I assume these are the forks that are worth anything, guess Bitcoin Pizza didn't make the cut?  Anyway, if and when you can add any of these that you don't have to your site, that would be super useful.  Of course, if this ad is showing a coin that is worthless, I wouldn't bother taking the time to put it in place, certainly not if you're running any nodes for this unless you have the infrastructure to spare.  But if there are any other coins besides those that you've listed that are worth anything, might be something to shoot for to add them in.

Also, I'm not sure how your code is structured, but if these forks continue, might be good to have it so that adding new coins is pretty plug and play.

Best of luck with your project!  Oh, can I tweet out the URL to your site?  I'm sure others will like this service.

Best regards,
Ben

Thank you Ben! Thats an excellent idea for the price check.

Yes, we have scaffold the code so adding new forks is fairly easy by spinning up a node or leveraging and existing explorers API. Once we get some of the requested features online we will definitely add as many forks that add value anyways.

Also yes please spread the word, if we can make it useful to many and many make tiny donations we can keep it ad free!

Pretty interesting. It would be cool to see information about the forks though. Cheers!

Yes agreed, that request is on our requirements list.

thank you

Thank you all for these awesome suggestions! Here are my responses and a quick summery of what made the requirements list.

@pooya87 - As mentioned by others your first suggestion is available when you register and login. I link out to third party explorers for verification but the lookups are actually from our own nodes. We wanted to keep the home page open lookup light so we don’t incur too much overhead. As for your second suggestion it made the requirement list, thank you!

@nc50lc - I would like to keep it ad free. If we can make it useful to many, just a few small donations could keep it running. The hosting is not too expensive the larger part of the cost is that we are actually running our own node for each fork for privacy and accuracy. On the “better visual” suggestion we would definitely like to hear more details on that, thank you!

@SFR10 - Adding a delete was a complete oversight on our part, as we were rushing to get something out for review. Its now on list. Save and Check wallet options also on the list, thank you!

@xdrpx - “Privacy Policy” definitely made the list as soon as we implement some kind of encryption for addy storage. We would need to be able to decrypt for lookups though, any suggestions? The broken link is priority and is on the bug fix list, thank you!

@TryNinja - The exchange/other API call for current pricing may add some overhead but we will give it a try, thank you!

@AngelSky - Dude, you are way smarter than we are. Can you dumb it down a bit and we will try our best to get something from it.

@Joel_Jantsen - Expire page and clear address field after lookup, made the list, thank you!

@CRYPTOLOOT.US - We will add ethereum addy for donations, thank you!

@npredtorch - A link to third party explorer for verification is available when logged in and viewing saved wallets.

Requirements we will be working on:
- link to fork explanation, home page or discussion site
- delete wallet option
- separate save and check wallet option
- addy storage encryption

- expire page and clear address field after lookup

About
We created this tool to help folks figure out what coins they may be able to claim with their wallets. With all of these recent forks it's getting hard to keep up.

It is completely safe, we do not need private keys. Just paste in the address and the tool will check multiple chains for a balance.

Donations would be greatly appreciated. We would like to maintain and add more features.

Bitcoin Cash(BCH) Chain

no explore.. coin with super hype ?

I am building explorer. It is build.. had to resync every block. i am reindexing all transactions in each block in the database. it's still long way to go. after that i will post url to public. after almost 8 hours i am at block 124157. hopefully it will be done in next 24-48 hours.

Let us know how it goes please, we tried the same and it stops on block 501451.

We even spun up a larger VM on our Azure cloud with 16 cores, 128GB RAM and 1.5TB of space and same thing.

We would like to add this chain to our wallet checker but are having a hard time with the code.

Has anyone had any luck building any of the code provided?
