1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : Invest in 1% House Edge Dice Game on: March 30, 2014, 07:44:54 PM
You probably make around 100BTC/month net from your fees so may not "need" to run away and create more troubles to yourself..

Where did you get 100BTC/month from?  Which fees?  From what I understand, Dooglus makes money from commision the bank (the people invested) makes.  If the website makes a profit over a week, Dooglus gets 10% commission on net investment profits if and when investments are divested.  If the website doesn't make a profit and people divest, he makes nothing (which has happened a lot).

Am I understanding this incorrectly?

Hi Jimmy, welcome to /r/Bitcoin.
maybe it is coinbase moving it into cold storage
Yes, Coinbase handles many BTC and usually keeps account balances separate from actual Blockchain events. No need to worry. If you had the BTC on your own computer (using Multibit, for example), it would stay put until you move it.

Yes that makes sense. It's interesting how many people out in the world assumed that the transaction implied I was moving the BTC.

That it has happened is out there now, so Busoni needs to provide clear regular updates

Last update was 1h ago, he can't tweet every 5 minutes and get work done.

I'm not suggesting he should, I was arguing against those saying, "don't say anything".

Also don't use f***ing twitter; a thorough thought through post here, that people can refer back to and is not limited to 140 characters will be far more valuable.

At least 3 people on the last page said he is currently writing up a post for here.

12.3% of btc was stolen.  No other coins.  It's apparently fixed now.  Busoni is writing up a post atm.

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Cryptsy preventing withdrawls on: December 19, 2013, 01:02:59 AM
I've been messing with cryptsy for a couple of weeks.  We all know how awful it's been, so won't go into that.

Yesterday I thought I'd close up.

Today I got this message:
Quote
Again buy back your negative balance this is your last warning on this topic further tickets on this issue will be flagged as abuse. Thanks again for using Cryptsy.com

The negative balanace is a cryptsy bug, and one I've brought up a few times in tickets.  The 'buy back' is the way to fix the issue.  If I pay x amount (they've not explain the x amount) you might get your balance back.

Seriously?

Your posts so far in this thread:

Well, at least you're still throwing empty jargon like "industry best" around.  Roll Eyes

I'm doing my job. I'm paid specifically to post in threads distinguished by empty words and sugar shill sprinkles like yourself.

Bring a valid point (that'd mean, about the actual topic, not me personally) or stfu.

Seriously, go shill somewhere else. The fact that you either don't have the ability or the patience to read and understand your environment doesn't mean that bs beleaguered with errors and problems constitutes "comprehensive reports", just like the other shills' problems accepting their failures to read and understand doesn't make what they're shilling for any better.

You don't get to push scams here by trying to paint me. Many have tried, and if you'd spent an iota of time figuring shit out, you'd notice they've meanwhile been buried.

(not including the text of posts you've replied with).

Is this your job?  Who pays for this, and how do you contribute?  Is whoever paying for you to do this getting their money worth?  All you've done is insult people and added nothing to the discussion about the company or the stock price.  If you have a legitimate complaint or issue about the company or their share price, maybe you could post that instead of trolling?
9  Economy / Securities / Re: [HAVELOCK] CasinoBitco.in CBTC Official Thread- NOVEMBER dividend posted! on: December 07, 2013, 05:17:08 PM
They really haven't shown profitability in the sportsbook yet tho. I think that is the biggest concern!

It's true that it is only marginal profitability, but surely the fact that it is no longer a drag on the business should be worth something (if they can keep it that way). The last two months, the sportsbook was -87 and -35; this month +2.4. The trajectory of sports definitely seems to be in the right direction but the BTC and $ denominated share price went down (a bit and a lot respectively).

The only way I could see to justify this is if a) CBTC was massively overpriced for the last couple of months (or is very illiquid now), or b) you don't believe the sportsbook trajectory and believe instead that there is huge overhang risk from sports and we just got lucky this month. Does that make sense?

scotjam

Not terribly concerned about the sportsbook profit. Attractive lines and the occasional sports bet win are like a hook in the lip of a gambler. A gambler that will linger and spend in the more profit-reliable casino. The lines/max bets just can't be so attractive as to risk the war chest, but I think CBTC has figured this out.

As regards the stock price, who knows? Small trading market, fiat rate fluctuations, fickle short-term investing, all play a role to some extent. Personally, I'm happy to re-invest at a bargain and be spared the temptation to sell a run-up would surely provoke. My only real concern with the lower stock price is a potential buy-out (remember satoshidice). But I trust Tim is in it for the long haul.

The dividend plays a part.  Lots of short term investors just got their payoff and are looking for something else.  Things are looking promising for the next year.

Keep on topic guys, please.  No need to feed the troll.

5.4% annual ROI at 0.0001,2.98% annual ROI at 0.000181 .
And you are planning to release the left 557,594 shares. Are you going to make a lower price in order to sold them all?
Sportsbook lost 16 btc in 15/11~1/12.Why have a lost again? Do you really now it,and have some plan?
I think you guys need to think about the investor's feel.

Kololo,
Agreed, we need a strong plan in place. We do hope to significantly grow the dividend over the coming months.
We're gaining a lot of traffic and players with the growth of bitcoin;
Plus, in the short-term, we're counting on our new Affiliates platform and upcoming Roulette and Sportsbook upgrades to increase growth (we're having many sites pick up Affiliates already).
The sportsbook loss in the 2nd half essentially comes down to our limits being higher there than in casino - causing swings to happen more easily. We will be sure to continue to evaluate the best practices of CBTC in this regard and that we've configured everything correctly.

We haven't made any decisions on the release of additional units yet, but will keep everyone updated.

This is all great news.  I also had some concerns with some of the sportsbook numbers, so thanks for addressing them.  A few pages back there was some discussion about a site redesign.  Is there any news about this?

Reverse imaged searched the pictures of the staff at the bottom.  The Controller, "Anthony Williams" is also a Chiropractic docter based in Illinois called Dr. Andrew Dykeman.  Susan K. Walters is also a property broker called Deborah Fisher.

I'm sure all the others also have twins.

On the 'watch bitcoin address' bit.  For example, I have an account that has 0.035 in it (shh, I'm poor).  The value of the wallet in my local currency is correct, but the display amount is rounded up to 0.04.
ok, will do.
done

I made all btc 3 decimal places for now.  This may change in the future.

Awesome, thanks a lot.

Loving this, is so useful.  Thanks a lot.  Would it be possible to increase the amount of decimal places?
where do you need more decimal places?

Even not using bitcoinaverage though it's currently £265 to buy on bittylicious, £240 on gox, under £260 on localbitcoins and bitbargain.
17  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bittylicious - UK Bitcoins using Bank Transfers on: November 12, 2013, 11:14:40 AM
It's now over £3 less than MtGox because of a bit of a seller war happening behind the scenes. All good news for Bittylicious customers though.

What's happened to the seller wars recently? Sad

19  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How much will a bit coin cost in 3 years on: November 06, 2013, 11:39:48 AM
$100.  Can see it getting to $10k, but think the price will stabilize about $100.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best faucet sites? on: November 06, 2013, 11:26:51 AM
Not going to get any real money from faucets, but might as well send you to one of the best... http://www.landofbitcoin.com/

Second this.  At best you can get 2mb from faucets in a day, but not really worth the time.  LandofBitcoin's faucet rotater is best one I've seen yet.
