lol developer
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=633826.0

you learnt a lot in a week.

Nah, I fixed that issue in a week. Read the last post in that thread. However, your assumptions are close. Yes, I am new to this. As I am a nub, the prices are not going to be very high.

Coinlab.info is kicking them out for $250, coingen is kicking them out for $60, what cloners have you already made?

None. These will be handmade. Coingen's $65 coins are closed-source only (not recommended for any coin). In order to have a fully customized coin, you have to pay up to $130 on coingen.io. And even then, they don't come with any support. As far as support goes, I will do what I can, though right now I'm kinda testing the waters.

Can you provide the same quality of service that has been provided by loljosh for XC? Also, can you beat 0.7 btc?

I'm not sure if I can top that. I also have not decided on a price.

*NOTE* I did forget to mention that since I am kind of new to this, I only really have experience with Scrypt coins. Please keep that in mind.

Never mind I was just being an idiot and Windows Firewall was blocking it...

router firewall and Windows firewall were both disabled. ICMP responses were enabled through the router. I attempted port forwarding and DMZ mode (on separate occasions) but nothing worked.

An associate of mine and I are looking for people experienced with scrypt altcoin development on Linux and Windows. We need help developing, setting up, and maintaining a currency that may or may not ever see use. We have part of the development done, but we need some assistance troubleshooting our client because it broke yesterday and we can't seem to fix it. Please PM me if you're interested.

try to connect without testnet
I get "couldn't connect to server"
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please help! (developing an altcoin) on: May 31, 2014, 10:03:02 PM
Have you tried "./mycoind -testnet -connect=OTHER_MACHINES_IP &"?

It's the same IP for the machine and the VM. So I guess yes and no?

Hi, I'm creating a new cryptocurrency - mostly to learn from it. My friend and I have Windows PCs with VirtualBox installed on them. I created Ubuntu 14.04 VMs on both PCs and got to work developing the new coin. I've been following shakezula's guide and I'm at the point where I need to connect 2 computers together to start mining on the testnet. Everything up to this point has worked perfectly. However, when I try to connect and then run "./mycoind -testnet -<other person's VM IP> &", nothing happens. When I try "./mycoind getinfo" it says 0 connections. What could be causing this?

I checked my mining client. It's been disconnected for a while. Something is very wrong with this pool. I'm switching.

What is it with these "manual" payouts? Do they also have to be processed manually, with a pen and paper? haven't gotten my second payout after 3+ hours
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Dogecoin Pool doge.scryptpools.com - 0.5% fee on: December 23, 2013, 10:18:06 PM

I switched to another pool in the meantime. When this is back up, I'll probably switch back.
