1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] CoinDash - Operating System For Crypto Assets on: September 04, 2017, 04:42:16 AM
The problem is everyone already has the impression that the dev team are amateurish/immature due to the hack and the way they handle community interaction. They knew that the price would dump hence the creation of the holder reward so CDT wouldn't instantly bomb.

It's also rather odd that they're having such a hard time getting CDT onto more exchanges. Why won't Binance list CDT? Why didn't the new 0x exchange (Radar Relay) list CDT? Is it the fault of the devs for one reason or another, or are exchanges just avoiding CDT?

The only thing that will recover the price of CDT is the devs proving that they can make progress on the project. They've already started hiring more devs from what I can tell, so hopefully the new devs are able to get the job done.

Honestly I don't see myself buying back into CDT until I see a prototype for the "copy trade" system they've promised. That could be a big game changer but I'm sure it's a long way off.

Looking forward to this one. Smiley

Honestly the spamming by the same handful of people is starting to get old. Especially considering most of them aren't even invested in this fiasco. I don't think this mess was a scam, too many legit projects are invested in this as well. All of them have legal teams. This was just pure incompetence and it's obvious there wasn't any disaster recovery plan in place (so arrogance on top of incompetence). Having said that, plenty of CEOs and even the President of the US have the same qualities yet they've managed to be successful. It's going to be a terribly long road but CoinDash may still have some sort of future. They're sure as hell going to have to use escrow or something from now on though as no one will trust them with their funds IMO.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 18, 2017, 06:52:28 AM
Yeah it'd be nice if the same 3-4 people stopped spamming about the whitelist refund already. We get it, you want a whitelist refund. Objectively speaking it probably isn't going to happen but you've made your opinion known.

Although, I suppose it could be possible (a whitelist refund) if they planned on doing another ICO (well I guess it wouldn't be "Initial" anymore), only properly this time. They'd obviously receive MUCH less money but at least it'd be willing investors and the project wouldn't go under from lack of funds.

The problem stems from how much they need for their roadmap over the next year and if they can figure out HOW they were actually hacked. If they can't figure it out then we've made no progress. I have a feeling that's why they've been silent for most of today. They're trying to figure out how they were hacked and if they can track the hacker down with assistance from law enforcement (there are surely logs on the web server and what not). If they have a way to recover the funds then that's priority #1 and I could see why they'd be absent most of today.

On the other hand, they could just be fighting among themselves, blaming each other for the destruction of the project. There were a lot of legit partners involved in this that I'm sure don't appreciate the CoinDash team letting this happen.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 17, 2017, 09:32:05 PM
Whitelisters will not receive a refund. I'm not sure why that's being mentioned. They paid for a token and they're going to get it. This hack does not affect them. CoinDash is even going as far as giving those who were scammed their tokens since it was their fault for having lax security on their website.

The only issue is that now the tokens will be devalued due to lack of faith in the project/developer, but to be fair there was never a promise of value in the tokens/ICO. You're buying on speculation that they'll be worth something and because you want to fund the project. If they turn out to be worthless, then you lost on that speculation.

If devaluing a token is the main issue to some then Bancor was also wrong to keep selling over their promised limit (increasing their market cap and ruining good-faith with participants in the ICO). If anything this hack would normally increase the value of CDT because the market cap will be around 6m rather than the originally planned 12m (meaning more room for profit for investors).

Once again the real issue is CoinDash earning our trust again somehow. If people have no faith in the project/devs then the tokens will become worthless. This is coming from someone who is $30,000 deep in this mess. I obviously want CoinDash to recover so I don't end up losing my investment. They have a LONG way to go to earn our respect/trust again though, especially considering the market is currently recovering today (most things are up 20% or more) and we're stuck sitting here wondering how much we're going to lose rather than gain...

CoinDash WILL pay me my $30,000. This is their mistake and they must make it right.

Is this DAO level? What the hell??? CoinDash is liable for this, if something doesn't happen this won't end well!

I just sent $30,000 to the website address. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

What is going to happen? How do I get my money back???
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 17, 2017, 03:36:53 AM
Alright so I've discovered conflicting information on how to participate in the ICO. Can someone from CoinDash clarify?

In a blog post it's clearly stated that the "Recommended Gas for the Token sale is 200,000 and the maximum Gas Price is 50 Gwei."

https://www.coindash.io/how-to-securely-participate-in-the-coindash-token-sale-and-public-beta-access/

Yet in the PDF for the MyEtherWallet instructions, it says "There is a slide bar for choosing the gas amount, please set it to 'Fast AF' (60 Gwei)"

https://coindash.io/wp-content/uploads/TokenSale-MyEtherWallet.pdf

So is there a Gas Limit of 50 Gwei or not? If there is, anyone following the PDF will to fail (as their transaction will be rejected). If there isn't, anyone following the blog will fail (as their transaction will be slower than the rest).

So where's the main dev in all of this? We're pumping a coin that doesn't have active development?
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CHC] ChainCoin - 0.9.2.4 Update - Cryptopia & Novaexchange on: July 12, 2017, 01:58:56 AM
So where is the dev during all of this? They remake the website and toss out a roadmap and now that the coin is being pumped he's MIA? Huh
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cofound.it ICO evaluation and mentoring platform discussion on: July 07, 2017, 04:12:58 PM
The problem is that 5k holders didn't even get to participate in the recent ICO and won't be invited into the new Slack for a while. Even many of those who made it onto the PP whitelist missed out on the latest ICO. It's becoming increasingly obvious that CFI doesn't have much value (what's the point in holding 5k of it if you don't even get any of the promised benefits?) and people are rightly dumping it.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: July 02, 2017, 12:27:08 AM
People dumping so hard and so fast are impatient fools.
Those of us who appreciate this project for what it is know the price now is a joke.
Don't throw your xel away for such a cheap cheap price for your own good.
\

So, what do you think is the true value of this coin?

You can do your own logic. Just take into account that this project has more advanced development than other projects from the same field and they are valuated much higher. The closest valuation I would consider realistic for Elastic is in the Golem range, and much higher after the full client is released.

You have a good point. Now, correct me if I am wrong. But doesn't XEL supply is 100,000,000 XEL vs Golem 1,000,000,000 GNT. Shouldn't this be a big factor when it comes to XEL vs GNT price?

All you need to look at is Market Cap. IF Elastic can keep up with Golem, you could see 10x profit by buying now.

However, people are currently experiencing FOMO and might not bother with Elastic at this point. Not sure if it can reach Golem's level (especially with the whole market being in bear mode currently).

What's the Circulating Supply for this token. The same as the Total Supply?

Also, I don't understand where the money goes. So basically everyone who buys a token, is buying it from you directly (basically), and you decide how to spend it? Huh
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittrex Bot. on: June 29, 2017, 04:14:52 AM
Is it even possible to get alerts that fast? Like if you set a bot to watch a specific pair, and it hits the price you want, how fast would the bot see the price change? How many seconds from the time the Exchange displays it to the public until the bot can see it and react to it? Even if it's "seconds", would it be faster than a human watching the orders/charts with their finger on the button?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage on: June 23, 2017, 04:51:10 PM
The ASIC thing is disappointing IMO. Not that they're switching to ASIC, but the fact that they take the money immediately and that it could take a year to deliver. That BTC or ETH will be worth way more than $2500 by the time they actually ship, IF they ever ship. Seems like a rip-off to me. A year in the crypto world is also an eternity and who knows if SC will still be an interesting/profitable project by then.  Undecided
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cofound.it ICO evaluation and mentoring platform discussion on: June 23, 2017, 04:35:17 PM
Yeah, it's hard to tell the inexperienced from the trolls anymore. Yes the price is being held down. Honestly there's not even much of a reason for it to go up right now anyway. If you believe in CFI just accumulate while it's cheap. You'll easily double your money (or more) as soon as the first ICO is released that only CFI holders get into.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Cofound.it ICO evaluation and mentoring platform discussion on: June 21, 2017, 09:56:04 PM
The problem is CFI is based around ICOs and everyone hates ICOs at the moment due to them basically killing Ethereum the past couple days and causing a general lack of faith in it and all of its projects now.

Will public opinion of ICOs turn around? Maybe when some of the projects actually start delivering. As for when CFI will start appreciating again, who knows? I don't know what to invest in ATM honestly. Antshares looks decent since it's completely disconnected from all the Bitcoin/Ethereum drama and the Chinese seem really into it ATM, but that's a bit off-topic.  Huh
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: | STRATIS | The first blockchain developed for businesses |Full POS on: June 21, 2017, 08:56:22 PM
You'd think with all the current issues with Ethereum popping up that people would be looking at blockchain alternatives right about now. Yet Stratis and others (like Lisk, UBIQ, etc.) are all stalling out. I suppose a lack of progress is to blame, as by the time any of the blockchain alternatives actually deliver something, Ethereum will likely have made its own progress (Metropolis, Serenity, Raiden, etc.)?

Well, except for Antshares, but I think that's just because it's China focused and there's a lot of big/new money there. Tongue

All of my Quark was on Cryptsy. Guess I'm not seeing that again lol.
