1  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: August 09, 2018, 08:45:40 AM
Personally, I do feel it is theft, I never consented to any taxation. I feel that this video helps explain the video quite well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PGMQZEIXBMs

I think taxation, as long as it's done right, should hopefully mean regulation in a way that supports investors, rather than penalising. Supportive regulation isn't necessarily a bad thing
2  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Have you ever bought a product with Bitcoin and what do you want to buy? on: August 02, 2018, 07:07:00 AM
Today, many people use Bitcoin for investment purposes. There are a lot of people who have paid with Bitcoin before, what do you think about this?

I'm personally a bit scared to pay for anything using BTC, in case in a few years time I figure out I've paid £10,000 for a burrito!
3  Economy / Marketplace / Re: can bitcoin in the future surpass gold? on: August 02, 2018, 06:43:10 AM
I believe that bitcoin is underestimated, I do not claim that it should only grow! But I'm sure that the future is for him! crypto currency in general, and bitcoin in particular - this is digital gold, many people still do not understand this. I'm sure that in ten years it will be so.

I agree bitcoin is under estimated to those outside the game, but Not sure how you can compare it to gold, a physical commodity... Is X footballer better than Y rugby player? Who knows.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you panic? on: August 01, 2018, 08:45:21 PM
As I have noticed these days, when the ICO hasnt finished yet and the sale was still on going, the bounty tokens has already been distributed and also unlocked they sell it immediately on forkdelta or etherdelta for a much lower that ICO price, in which it could greatly disturb the sales in tokens. As for you the investor on that token, would you panic when you see that the tokens you own already selling at much lower price?

I try not to, but i always find myself panic-selling and buying. All part of the learning process, will improve with experience
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: All my money in 1 altcoin - Too risky? on: August 01, 2018, 08:32:20 PM
Hi,
the altocoin market is so variuous and there are dozen of interesting projects that can be supported.

But  i'm a little investor (500$) and i'm seriously thinking to put all my money in only 1 project I think is very good which curretly is in the top 40 of altcoins. I don't want to say the name because my topic wants to be very general: what do you think is the risk  by doing so? Should I invest in 2 or 3 coins instead?

Thanks

Very, very bold. I've been burned in the past by a project that seems to tick all the boxes, but turns out to be garbage. Moral of the story is - always diversify!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All Alt Coins are a scam. on: July 26, 2018, 12:02:14 PM
Well this is what the insightful Tone Vays claims...

He claims that ETH, DASH, shit 99.5% of all the ALTS are scams and the only coin that will survive is Bitcoin.

So l guess we should all sell our Alts now!

This is a great way to trigger a small price crash and dump among newbies! Just gotta hope people do their due diligence before jumping ship...
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how to manage losses? on: July 26, 2018, 10:53:23 AM
how do you manage stress if you loss biggest amount because the value of.your token.is hitting down ..? in your opinion how diversify your investment in other alts to cope up your losses?
thanks in.advance..

Diversifying is always a good way to avoid major losses, as long as you don't do it so much that you can't keep control of your portfolio. Also, never invest what you can't afford to lose!
8  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why still Jr.Member?? on: July 24, 2018, 07:59:04 AM
I’m a new to crypto field.I know about the ranking system in Bitcoin Forum.when I read the post and replies,I saw some members are still on the Jr member Position.but they earn lots of activities.some ones are on 200 or 300.but only gain one or two merits.some Hero Members and
Legendary Members have more merits than activities. How can I get merits to climb up.....

The merit system is a pain. People are so protective of their merits as everyone is looking to climb.

It's so hard to get into air drops as a lower ranking member, and this will only make it more difficult as some air drops only accept above a certain rank. The rich get richer!
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which BTC wallet to use? on: July 20, 2018, 07:40:35 AM
Greetings,
Do you guys know what is the best wallet for bitcoin? I've never had a crypto-wallet yet. I have a bank account, though. In banks, cash remittance is unlimited and pretty fast, but service fee is pretty high. Is there a wallet with fast cash remittance and minimum service fee for remittance?

Coinbase is a good start, but ultimately you'll want to take your funds offline for security purposes - something like a Ledger works well, and is safer than online wallets and exchanges
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where should i buy bitcoin. on: July 19, 2018, 09:27:10 PM
Please, could you recommend a site for investing in Bitcoin. I want a site that is safe and fast and that is verified or has many members. If you post some site, please tell me if you had any good or bad experience if you did try and invest trough that site.

I haven't bought BTC for a while, but my favourites were Coinbase and Bittylicious. Coinbase has higher fees but Bittylicious feels a little more risky. That said, I'm yet to have a bad experience from it
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: crypto going strong ? on: July 17, 2018, 10:08:41 PM
crypto is green again, do you thing is good time buy now .

Any time is a good time if you're looking to invest longer term. If looking to trade, you're best of analysing the particular coins you're looking at
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do I need to sell all alts? on: July 13, 2018, 06:25:07 AM
Good day,
Do you think that BTC is going to reach 20k soon?
If yes do I need to sell all alts and wait for rising BTC?
What to do now ? I am confused!!!!

It depends why you for into those alts. If you like the projects, HODL. If you're unsure, sell and get the BTC
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can you still get rich with crypto? on: July 11, 2018, 10:11:01 PM
Hello guys,

here i want to start a discussion about the possibility of getting rich with cryptos. if you start off with an amount of lets say max. 1k i dont think so. If we say you are able to invest like 10-100k you can still earn alot of money but in this case you are already very wealthy. Here is no enough space below this post to either say "Hey man you got it right" or just prove me wrong. leeeeeeeeeeeeets go  Wink

Absolutely you can still grow big from crypto! In a way, the overall value of the market means nothing if you're a trader. Make the most of the market in front of you, and you'll succeed
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Patience is the key on: July 09, 2018, 07:12:07 AM
As a matter of fact, it is very few number of noobs in the cryptocurrency business that understand the level at which patience is required and valuable in the business. I do tell my friends around me that wish to come in to the business “it’s only patience ones that would feed from the milk of a lion” . I bought some coins few weeks ago, which I decided to hold while it was dipping but I keep holding with zero fear and absolute patience. Presently, i’m In over 47% profit in all. My advice to my colleagues is all you need is buy into coins with good potential and relax even while it’s at dip. Trust me, you won’t live to regret anything if only you would be able to hold with patience. Thanks

Totally agree. It's easy to freak out if a couple of your coins dip, but your whole portfolio should only grow over time
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why people want ETH to over come BTC on: July 05, 2018, 09:31:30 PM
Why some people want the Ethereum to over come Bitcoin in the near future? Is it because they make profit from ETH or what?

Probably because so many ALTs are built on the Ethereum platform, so in theory, if Ethereum grows, they grow
16  Economy / Marketplace / Re: List of companies that will ban your account if they know you're mess with BTC. on: July 05, 2018, 06:20:18 AM
This is my list of companies that will ban your business account if they know you're involved with Bitcoin.  (NOT ICO's... but Bitcoin specifically)

ChimpMail.com

ConstantContact.com

SendInBlue.com

Twitter.com (they "will" ban small Bitcoin businesses)

Please feel free to chime in if you've had any businesses accounts closed due to Bitcoin.

Not sure if still the case, but certain banks in the UK have been restricting customers from making transactions buying BTC. I'm certain this will lift over time, especially as I know other banks are starting to really invest in Blockchain
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: Beware of SCAM Airdrops on: July 04, 2018, 10:36:54 PM
Today i received an email

"The Anatomia Token distribution is now live for all verified users.
So far, we have officially distributed tokens to over 10,000 verified users.

If you haven't received your 10,000 ATOM tokens, complete your KYC verification process now to claim your tokens.

Complete KYC

Please note that the KYC verification process will be discontinued in 5 days.
Exchange listings are currently being scheduled by our team to make sure ATOM gets listed in mid-July.

Best regards,
Anatomia Team."

If you click the link , a form will open. There you will find a link to sign message with myetherwallet. This link is not real myetherwallet. ie  it is myetherwàllėt    CAREFULLY see the dots in characters.

It is a SCAM. Be careful before you enter your private key in any website.

Definitely sounds like one. Providing that kind of thing is a big no no for me. Checking the dev team and icohunt are a must

Bitcoin hits lowest in 2018; falls below $6,000: Here’s what you should know
Bitcoin crashed to a low of $5,787 on Sunday afternoon, mildly recovering to $6,131 on Monday morning.

Bitcoin crashed to a low of ,787 on Sunday afternoon.
Post-October last year, Bitcoin rallied in a way that shocked the world. From the modest $4,000 price, Bitcoin surged past $19,000 in just two months. But soon, the fall began and now the most popular cryptocurrency has fallen to below $6,000, lowest in 2018. Bitcoin crashed to a low of $5,787 on Sunday afternoon, mildly recovering to $6,131 on Monday morning. There could be many reasons for the fall in Bitcoin — tax selloffs, higher regulations or ban in many countries, multiple hackings et all.

All that apart, the Federal Reserve of San Fransico last month said that the Bitcoin crash could be attributed to Bitcoin Futures. “The rapid run-up and subsequent fall in the price after the introduction of futures does not appear to be a coincidence,” the report ‘How Futures Trading Changed Bitcoin Prices’ said.
Founded by an unknown person or a group of persons Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009, Bitcoin remained within $4000 until mid-2017, when it increased exponentially for about 10 months. “This explosive growth ended on December 17, 2017, when bitcoin reached its peak price of $19,511. Notably, these dynamics aren’t driven by overall market fluctuations,” the report said.
However, crypto traders have not abandoned the idea yet. “This is not the funeral for bitcoin whatsoever,” Brian Kelly, founder and CEO of BKCM LLC, an investment firm focused on digital currencies told CNBC. He added that as compared to last year’s price of $2, 500, Bitcoin is still at a higher level.

Bitcoin is a type of cryptocurrency, a digital currency which uses encryption techniques to regulate the generation of units of currency and verify the transfer of funds. It is like the money, with no physical presence but a series of codes. Bitcoin is traded on exchanges using the blockchain technology. The blockchain is a digital and public ledger through which transactions made in digital currencies are recorded chronologically and publicly.

A bit of perspective...since then it's gone up nearly 1k. The low made immediate headlines, but will be short lived Smiley
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greed and crypto !! on: June 28, 2018, 06:50:01 AM
I feel that i never have enough coins. To day i just bought another batch with Icon (ICX) i am not only bullish on ICX but wish i had more of WAN,VEN,ONT,NAV,OMG and EOS.

Do you guys feel the same thirst/hunger to buy/add more fiat to the crypto world. And when is enough ?

Because of the long downtreand we have been withness to now. Do i start to be positive to what i see right now. And want to take a loan in the bank 50k to buy more of the coins that i have mantion in this thread. The plan is to make 2-3x and sell some and pay back the loan. I know this sounds crazy to most of you and i know it is.

Positive and negative comments are all welcome in this thread. Thanks

The loan idea is luncacy. It's fine to diversify your Holdings, and of that's what you call greedy then fine. After all, no successful millionaire has ever been called modest! But don't take out that loan!
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to recognize scam on: June 28, 2018, 06:39:45 AM
Hello everyone!

Today I've read a couple of articles and I've noticed that the most people are used to label each ICO as a scam. That is not fair, I know. Especially when you work in a startup launching ICO and do your best to make a project successful. However, having worked in ICO industry I learned how to recognize a scam just from one conversation with a Founder. I don't know how to explain this feeling. Probably, my subconscious translates knowledge, but I could not say a have a large experience.

So I decided to make a list of scam signs: (and this is just my own opinion)

- A founder and a team are not open.

Talking with a founder is always nice. They are usually full of energy and ready to talk about their project for hours. No matter how tired he/she is: when one is asking about a project, a founder starts talking about it with eyes burn with a fire. No matter who you are. When a founder deflects, tries to escape and avoids it makes you think that he/she just can't tell you anything important. What is more, it is crucial talking to a team. When a team member doesn't know how to answer a simple question about a product, it is also a bad sign.

In case of the lack of opportunity to visit an event and to talk to a team, you always can contact a founder and a team online. They should be open and answer patiently all your difficult questions. Even if you ask it every minute.

- Spending a lot of money on marketing isn't always show professionalism.

Just think. A company needs ICO to raise money for a company development. Isn't it a little bit queerly when an unknown company is too fancy. How? And Why? Why do they need ICO if they already have money on expensive advertisement? I don't know too  Huh

- You know nothing about a founder. And you cant find any information about him/her.

Always google the founder. Always. And now I'm not talking about his/her FB page. I'm talking about his experience, education, photos, events he took part in. A founder should not be a mysterious person who came from nowhere. His background should be open to everyone.

- They don't have a readymade product.

Let's make a sober recognition. The competition is high. In the end of 2017 - the beginning of 2018 you just can't appear with an idea and ask for money. You need to develop your product before ICO. It should not be an amazing one. It could be just prototype. But investors need something real. They need to touch and try your product. However, just 16% of all ICO has a product.

And what do you think about it? What are your signs of a scam?

Not a sure fire way, but for me, when they ask users to send some currency, that's a bad sign. Also not being able to find much on the team/product online. That said, there have been some genuinely convincing scabs the past that really look legit...
