About the bug we had on the blockchain, the problem is that on the monoeci network we still have version 70006 and 70008 protocol (which is the latest version).
Despite the update that dates more than 1 year still 50% network works on the old version.
In addition, exchanges like Cryptopia always use the old version despite our requests for updates.
In the coming months we will no longer support the actual version of monoeci, however do not worry about your XMCC, you will be able to convert your Monoeci to the new version of the coin for more than 12 months after the snapshoot (dates will be defined in future information).
In addition, in order to thank the community and reestablish the problems linking to the version conflict your Monoeci balance will DOUBLE on the new blockchain.
In order to guarantee during this period of time the good functioning of the code, we invite you to keep the function of the previous version, in protocol 70006 (which is the same as exchanges). This solution is of course in view of a rapid deployment of the new version (in the coming months)
We will communicate in some time the date of the snapshoot and the operational version of the mainnet monoeci version 2.

Also we want to share with you some new functionalities of the new blockchain :
Token creation on the chain
Full POS (no more mining)
One block every 5 seconds with more than 5000 transactions per block possible
A partnership with Amazon AWS for data historization.
The masternodes will be replaced by an inflation system (similar to staking)
A decentralized exchange with FIAT connectors (integrate into the chain)
European FIAT license with banking agreement.

Hello everyone,
A promised, here is the first MonacoCoin Newsletter. The cryptocurrency market is experiencing a difficult situation as you may have noticed but we are confident for the recovery after the bitcoin fork in mid-November. Our work in the principality is bearing fruit, our visibility is increasing and we will soon start organizing meetings to explain to people how the blockchain works and cryptocurrencies. This will allow us to start involving Monegasque investors interested in our project.
Monaco Esport Masters:
In the meantime, we are working on the Monaco Esport Masters in Monaco, taking place on 08th and 09th November. The event is free and if you can come to Monaco, we would be happy to welcome you and discuss about MonacoCoin with you. This will be an opportunity for us to increase our visibility, and our involvement will bring a lot to our project in the future. Indeed, we are for this event alongside world-renowned partners such as Playstation or Venturi. This gaming lounge will be the first e-gaming event in Monaco, and will measure the interest of the public and the principality for this booming field. The objective ? To organize next year a global esport event in which we will, of course, intervene. The media attention for our project would then be exceptional.
Meeting with the government:
On November 10, we have an appointment with the Monegasque government. It will be an opportunity to talk about projects developing in Monaco that could involve blockchain technologies, in which we could actively be involved.
Whitepaper:
As promised, our whitepaper is being written and will be released next week, since we will surely change our cryptocurrency name this week. This will allow us to make a better presentation of our project, but also to have access to more important exchanges which asked for it. We can not give you any dates for the release of the MonacoCoin on these different exchanges, it will surely be done in the coming months.
Smartphone applications:
Smartphone apps are still in development and tests have already begun. You will have more news on this subject in the coming weeks.
Increased rewards for masternodes:
As we announced two weeks ago, late December-early January, we will increase masternode rewards from 2 to 5 blocks, and decrease miners' rewards from 8 to 5. Why did we make that choice? We realized that our active community and our most active members were masternode owners. In addition, we noticed that the majority of miners were on XMCC because it was very profitable at the moment, but resold it immediately on NovaExchange, without thinking of the project or even the market. We want to favor people who believe in our project. This was provided in the code, and should have started at block 131 400, we are only speeding up the process.
Burn 60% of our reserves:
As you know, we have about 7 million coins (out of the 50 million to be created). We understand that it's hard to trust us entirely when we have so many coins. That is why we decided to burn 60% of the coins we own. We should be able to pay for marketing, management and development with the remaining 40%. In addition, with the Governance Object, we will have a new way to be paid if the community accepts it (Creation of a salary for the team thanks to the proposal of a project, if the majority of the masternodes vote accept it, we will be paid in XMCC). We plan to start making this important burn at the same time as the increase in masternode rewards and the modification of the MonacoCoin creation rule. A burn of 20% will take place every 2 months until it reaches 60%.
Modification of MonacoCoin creation:
Concerning the creation of MonacoCoin by block, the distribution will surely be modified to correspond to the following development diagram, in order to reduce the impact of the reduction of the rewards for the owners of masternodes and the miners each year, these modifications will be implemented in two months :
Blocks 7 200 to 270 000 -> 10 XMCC per block (12 months)
Blocks 270 001 to 532 800 -> 8 XMCC per block (12 months)
Blocks 532 801 to 785 600 -> 6 XMCC per block (12 months)
Blocks 785601 to 1 038 400 -> 4 XMCC per block (12 months)
Blocks 1 038 401 to 1 291 200 -> 2 XMCC per block (12 months)
After block 1 291 201-> 1 XMCC per block up to 50 million MonacoCoin
Bounty Campaign:
We told you about it, and we are going to do a bouty campaign. We will organize a signature campaign, an article campaign and a twitter campaign. Our agenda is loaded so we cannot assure when will be the beginning of the campaign.Our project is still unknown, do not hesitate if you want to play your own networks to make us known.
Rebranding:
As you know, we need to change the name of our cryptocurrency and the meeting with the government will be an opportunity to discuss it. We want to call our currency Munegu, Monoïkos or Monoecus. After changing the name, we want to do things right, for the occasion we will create a new website, and a new logo made by professionals.
