3  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Hash rate chart surrounding Nov 2012 Halving? on: November 25, 2014, 01:25:47 PM
Anyone have a hashrate chart from the halving and surrounding months? I know I've seen one, but can't seem to find anything at the moment...

From the looks of it the hashrate was generally not affected, however the amount of money invested in miners was much less back then. I think it would be interesting to see how the hashrate is affected the next time the block subsidy is halved.

Hopefully the price of the bitcoin rise due to the decrease in miners dumping them. If bitcoin price rise twice then hashrate shouldn't be affected Smiley

Well she still looks a bit robotic to me. How much electricity does she need to operate ? Maybe cost more to run then mining for bitcoin.

You don't need to run her for long. Maybe only couple of hours.. Much funner then mining...
5  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Should I invest in cloud mining or just lend out loans to people to make a profi on: November 25, 2014, 01:19:20 PM
Cloud mining profitable isn't as bad as everyone think, especially now when hardware is cheaper then shipment charges. You can actually get a better deal buying cloud mining...
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Fire hazard and bitcoin mining at home on: November 25, 2014, 01:15:31 PM
You must keep the dust out of your miners make sure they stay clear of dust , make sure you watch the temperatures too if you see ne getting hotter than usual you should check out why, make sure all the wires are normal temps as well. feel your wires frequently that plug your miner into the wall, if that wire gets to Hot check the Guage of the wire and get one that does not heat up. Fire prevention is the best policy.

If anyone has any mining equipment that they no longer want/need because it uses too much electricity with the current difficulty to make much profit.....if you don't want them I will GLADY take them off your hands. Let's just say I have free electricity. I split the mined profits with you even if it's something worth doing 500GH+ or something.

I remember when my 5GH/s miner would easily make $175 in a month. Now a year later I'm lucky to make 52 cents in a month...wtf is up with that.

Both the raise in difficulty and the price drop in bitcoins will effect your income.

I can sell you some miners if your interested shared profit s not something I am interested in.

Even if you clean it every month and check the temperature. Hardware would sometimes just fail for no reason and cause fire, the safest way is to make sure all material that you use in the room is fire proof. That would stop the fire from going mad..
7  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Where is the best place to get asic hardware these days? on: November 25, 2014, 01:08:42 PM
Only place i have ordered from is bitmaintech.

You might want to consider cloud mining now as bitmaintech charge for shipping..

So when price is down at this level, we should buy little by little and accumulate as much as we can afford to loss.

Too late, its already at close to 400$. It was 350$ few days back.

11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should i start mining bitcoins? on: November 17, 2014, 12:18:13 AM
Should i start mining bitcoins? Do you believe that they will go up to $1,000+ a coin? Or should i start mining litecoins? What would you recomend for the most profit?

You shouldn't start mining unless you already have the hardware is it is able to cover your electricity plus some profit. And if you believe coin will go up to $1000 please buy BTC directly.

If I had to die, I would go out by sleeping preferably.

That I think is the easiest, painless way to die. Any painless and easier way?
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: October 2014. Are GPU rigs useless? on: November 17, 2014, 12:13:25 AM
Yes it was, now it's back to being almost on par with the other algos, only it uses more power. So people are losing money if they're mining at 'equal' rates across all their cards. Nice hashes % doesn't take into account power usage. Each one of my systems uses about 100 more watts of power when mining NeoScrypt.

It's fine and dandy to think GPU miners are better, but I could've probably made a lot more money juggling ASICs then I did on GPUs. It looks like the BTC market doesn't want to budge either, it climbs and then people sell it all.

I can't help but think people are mining on a whim right now because they think last november is going to happen again, so x11 and other algos are all SUPER negative at the moment. All the machines that were switched off, are on again mining at negative profit for possible 'future profit'. They're playing the lottery. On the bright side, that probably means when we're still sitting around 400 BTC in Jan, all those machines will be sold as this is their last 'huzzah'.

We (GPU miners) really need more efficient kernels.

No, you don't - more efficient kernels means more miners, higher diff.

And that usually means more heat and more energy. Am I right?

18  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I found a block !!! on: November 17, 2014, 12:10:52 AM
Unfortunately I was pool mining...
But still! One of my Antminer S3+ found a block shortly after I restarted them.

Has anyone else found one?

EDIT: I've noticed that ghash.io isn't paying as much as the calculators are saying I should get. I will give it a few more days to get it confirmed, but, any pool recommendations?

Awersome, just if you are solo mining.

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [DOLP] ★★DolphinCoin★★ | New POD Algorithm | Now on FobCoin on: November 17, 2014, 12:07:52 AM
Bittrex delete market is a big loss. But don't lose heart. There are many excellent big exchanges for us.

Where please ? FobCoin seems no one to trade.

The giveaway was too quick for dolphincoin, I wish the developer slow down the giveaway at the beginning but let it last way longer.
