1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you investing in Bitcoin? on: February 28, 2018, 08:21:14 PM
The potential of the blockchain technology is what caught my eye in the first place. I want to support the industry and be part of it as well as it develops.

The investment side is of course also part of the reason why I am in the crypo space and interested in Bitcoin.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: I have 250 ETH, Hold or SELL? on: February 12, 2018, 10:22:44 PM
Congrats, I had 100 back in 2016, bought at 5€, only to lose it due to the dao hack. Couldnt log into kraken...(margin)

Oh well life goes on^^

I would recommend holding the majority, use the rest to invest in some promising ICOs.

Best of luck!
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your altcoin experience? on: January 15, 2018, 10:36:26 PM
I currently only hold sia and pascal, i've made about 400% return since the end of November at my ATH.

Market is pulling back currently so my portfolio is down 10-15% atm from the ATH if not more.

But been fun so far Wink
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts are Bleeding What To Do? on: January 15, 2018, 12:53:56 PM
This is normal for cryptos, newcomers will have to get used to the swings.

I believe in holding the coins you believe in, better than just chasing green candles, or hyped coins.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MARKET IS CRASHING : WHAT'S YOUR THOUGHTS ? on: January 15, 2018, 03:33:50 AM
give it some time to correct, ups and downs are part of the roller-coaster ride Wink
6  Economy / Speculation / Re: End of 2018 bitcoin price on: January 07, 2018, 04:12:08 PM
Hard to say, I think the price development might slow down a bit, but BTC will not go down unless massive regulation appears.

Maybe 25-35k by the end of the year.

There is always the chance that it just explodes even more and we see 6 figures. 2018 will be an exciting year for crypto, one way or another Wink
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: (SC) Sia Speculation on: January 06, 2018, 12:18:23 PM
Its a great team with a working product. Yes it has many competitors, but that doesn't devalue the project.

I still think the project is undervalued and that there is the possibility of 1-2k satoshis.

The price difference between polo and bittrex is a bit annoying, but thats mainly due to the wallet issues on bittrex.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin Will Be Nr.2 and Nr. 3 After Bitcoin ? on: January 06, 2018, 11:59:06 AM
BTC and Eth will take places 1 and 2 thats for sure.

3 depends on if more banking institutions adopt ripples network.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what to do if bitcoin decreases? on: January 05, 2018, 06:14:49 PM
Few things you can do to hedge your profits:

Buy futures.

Buy altcoins as btc declines

sell for fiat (not recommended)

Do nothing, unless heavy regulatory action or something dramatic happens the crypto-market will continue to grow for some time, meaning btc will recover as it as has done in the past.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You should NOT be buying altcoins now! on: January 05, 2018, 06:04:41 PM
I think now is the best time, they will be coming down in price as btc rises, it takes a few days or a  few weeks but then the altcoins recover and follow btc.

It is best to have a long-term view.
11  Other / Archival / Re: Ethereum Will the Next Bitcoin? on: January 05, 2018, 02:52:56 AM
Ethereum is different to BTC, BTC will keep its value, ethereum is better in most aspects, but its not as known.

2018 will show us who will reign supreme, but I think BTC will keep the crown for a few more years, if not for longer depending on governments/banks/ public sentiment.
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: Earning a living with bitcoin? on: January 04, 2018, 11:51:47 PM
I think if you have the time to participate in bounty programs, you can make a nice income.

Not sure if its enough to be your only source of income
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum All Time High on: January 04, 2018, 10:27:06 PM
excited to see where Ethereum is headed in 2018.

Will be interesting to see xrp and ether compete for 2nd place behind btc!
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do??? on: January 04, 2018, 09:57:09 PM
great job getting those returns.

I think as many have said continue what you're doing, consider putting half into btc rest into alts. You can also further split half of the alts into holding and the other into day trading if that is your thing.

good luck!
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes a altcoin valuable on: January 04, 2018, 02:11:05 PM
Agents in the market determine the value.

Its value increases in respect to its utility to said agents.

They become interesting as ways to hedge and or for multiple profits as btc rises alongside them.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Siacoin Epic Monster Moon on: January 03, 2018, 07:42:21 PM
Price has slowed down a bit, but I think with the great product they have and obelisk coming out soon, we will see more movement. Looking forward to hodling sia in 2018.

I was initially crushed when I bought Siacoin at 100++ satoshi, thinking at the time it was well and truly floored. We all know what happened after that! Bitcoin just kept on mooning and my poor Sias lost more than 60% value almost in a week. Anyway, very, very happy I hodled. Last week I booked in some of my Sia at almost x2 the price I bought them so completely recouped all my Bitcoins and then some. Now holding only several thousand Siacoin. Just over $100 in value overall, but I'll wait for it to drop a little bit more before buying back in. Entry points, anyone?

Now is good entry point. I bought the sc when he cost about 300-350 then 50-150 and also a few days ago for 190

I agree, I caught Sia between 64-85, so I am quite happy, but I am holding as I think it can reach much higher. Its honestly hard to say if you an get an entry point lower than it is now. I believe in the project, so I am going to hold Smiley
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: With how much should i start on: January 03, 2018, 05:48:37 PM
A bit late here, but I thought I would give my thoughts on this.

First of all you should only ever invest what you are willing to lose, in this volatile market your portfolio can go up by 50% one day and back down by same amount the next.

You have to realize that this can happen. Best is to just hold coins, and only look at your portfolio every once in a while. incremental losses way more heavily on the mind than incremental gains.

Set targets for coins, set alerts, and exit when you are comfortable with your gains.

Also to avoid losing money, don't margin trade, that can go horribly wrong.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sia Coin is viable investment on: January 03, 2018, 05:21:31 PM
I agree with the sentiment that around the end of January with the planned hardfork and the arrival of the obelisk, we could see a jump upwards for Sia.
