1  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Over I2P on: May 26, 2011, 02:47:25 PM
I was speaking to Adrian a while ago about this, and I told him about bitcoins and he was interested, keep an eye out on his site Smiley

Cool beans but I don't want to bother him with this if at all possible. I am sure he is busy enough already Cheesy

MyBitcoin is a workaround for trading, but it depends how much you trust them to handle your money and I would prefer to manage my own wallet.

I have also seen someone else talking about BOB in another thread for using Bitcoin over I2P.

Is there a way to get the Bitcoin client running directly over I2P?

I have searched the forum, but this subject appears to be being avoided. TOR leaks quite badly even taking all the necessary precautions, so I am not keen on using that network (it is also extremely slow and overloaded).

If you want an impartial comparison by someone who is highly regarded in the security industry: http://www.irongeek.com/i.php?page=videos/darknets-i2p-tor-phreaknic

A guide would be nice if anyone else has attempted this and got it working Smiley
