What does regulation of exchanges mean for customers ? Can you name regulated exchanges ?
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to send tokens to MetaMask ? on: January 18, 2018, 12:26:18 PM
I think I also got my ether wallet but somehow metamask seemed better to me. I have checked instructions on how to send tokens out of metamask using myetherwallet though I didn't try it. It seems you just open metamask and then you access your wallet by choosing MetaMask / Mist on myetherwallet.com to send tokens out.

Right now all my tokens are on exchanges, none is in a wallet. I want to purchase some ethereum with my tokens and then send them all to my MetaMask wallet.

I have ERC-20 tokens SUB and NAS on exchanges and I want to send them to MetaMask ?

Do I need some ethereum in both the exchanges and MetaMask for the transfer to happen without a problem ?

While sending tokens you need ethereum to cover for gas cost right ? If I do not want to leave anything how do I calculate how much ethereum to leave to cover the gas cost ?
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which exchanges to use considering China will ban exchanges ? on: January 18, 2018, 10:47:49 AM
I have stopped trading on centralized exchanges a lot time ago, after experiencing problems from exchanges like BTC-E and Bitfinex not to mention Mt Gox. I currently use only decentralize exchanges and the best so far for me without a doubt is the WAVES PLATFORM. You trade directly from your wallet similar to ETHERDELTA but much faster. Check it out if you dont know about the WAVES PLATFORM. www.wavesplatform.com. Also join their telegram group to learn more https://t.me/Wavescommunity.

I'm interested in decentralized exchanges but I'm afraid Etherdelta was hacked:

How about gate.io ? It seems to operate from the US.

Correct me if I'm wrong but everything seems to be originating from this article that only talks about what people familiar with the matter said:

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-15/china-is-said-to-escalate-crackdown-on-cryptocurrency-trading

People familiar with the matter is all it says, no names or further description of them... It also says "China’s central bank didn’t immediately respond to a faxed request for comment."

That's all I know about the origins of the talks of China banning more. Do you know anything else ? Because this alone doesn't sound persuasive to me that such a thing may happen.

I really don't understand China, they are maybe the leader in everything about cryptocurrencies and they are banning it.

China is really creating more and more problems for us crypto peeps now and my Husband read an article about China Govt backing NEO now against Bitcoin. I have a problem right now with KUCOIN exchange which is a Chinese exchange so I hope they fix my problem or I will move away from most exchanges and sell off everything and be done with all this hassle. Only Binance is working decently for me at the moment and COSS has nice support staff.

Right now I can't even see most of my money in Okex because a few market orders went wrong. I'm talking to them and I hope they will solve the problem instead of taking most of my money and closing down.

The news are China is banning centralized exchanges, you can read about in the links below:

https://www.ccn.com/china-looks-ban-centralized-cryptocurrency-trading-reports/

https://gizmodo.com/report-china-plans-to-root-out-crypto-platforms-offeri-1822094585

https://cointelegraph.com/news/china-after-banning-exchanges-authorities-move-to-close-exchange-like-services

What does that mean for Chinese exchanges, and their non-Chinese customers ? Shall we move all our money elsewhere or sth else ?

PS: I have money in Okex and Binance

10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Cryptocurrencies disappearing from my balance with market orders... HELP ! on: January 10, 2018, 09:07:45 PM
3 days ago I wanted to sell my SUB and buy NAS at okex.com

However after giving orders I noticed my balance was unexplicably low, then I found the problem orders and wrote to okex, you can check them highlighted in red here:

https://twitter.com/Kripto10090360/status/951196053990146048

However, the last thing they wrote is this:

"Dear Customer,

We just got feedback from ops team, our side is definitely no problem. As you made market order, that means you will buy the coin at highest price. So the changing price is the reason."

I do not understand it, this is not the way I think market orders work and I think I made market orders before without a problem; but after 3 days I still can't see anything coming into my balance from those orders, and I do not see the cryptocurrencies I gave the orders with in my balance as well.

I'm still writing to okex and waiting despairingly. Those cryptocurrencies are now worth over 33 thousand american dollars, it is over what I earned in 3 years while I was working and I am now unemployed.

It is extremely frustrating, please help me understand what is going on.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Whom/where to follow for sound advice ? on: January 07, 2018, 02:23:12 PM
I'm new to cryptocurrency trading and I wonder if you can share what you follow for sound investment advice.

Do you know of a source whose advices were most often good in the past ?

I do not know if they're good but the cryptocurrency channels I started to follow on youtube are:

Young and Investing
I love Crypto
CryptoFuture
Crypto Gurus
Crypto Coins
Crypto Decoded
DataDash

PS: My money is mostly on Substratum now and some is on RaiBlocks. Substratum is expected to start testing beta version of their software in the middle of this month and RaiBlocks is going to be listed on Binance due to coming on top of the community poll and Binance is a much bigger market than the total of the market RaiBlocks was on until now. I made mistakes, I'm trying to learn better.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Please introduce new coins on: January 02, 2018, 10:40:42 AM
Please introduce coins that entered the market very recently or are expected to enter the market soon. Please try not to discuss a coin excessively, this topic is just for introduction, you can leave a link to the coin's own discussion topic if it exists.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Where to keep alternative coins safely for free ? on: December 30, 2017, 01:40:13 PM
Where to keep alternative coins safely for free ?

Is exodus in your opinion a safe alternative coin wallet ?

Is binance safe to keep alternative coins ?

Assuming we're talking about a growing investment, at what point would you buy a hardware wallet and which ?

I just bought about 0.2 bitcoin at a Turkish website (paribu.com) but I'm afraid it will have waited too long before it is transferred to another place. Can you recommend a safe alternative to buy cryptocurrencies safely from Turkey ?
