I have also just requested refunds for two orders of each 20 shares. Hopes of breaking even flew out the window because of lack of communication and delays.

Let's just sell the hardware, it's failling horribly.

I and (probably everybody) certainly still care. But I think everybody is of the opinion that the hardware as it is now will never sustain the desired hashrate. That and the fact that the difficulty has risen so much, that the absolute difference has dropped so much means that it's probably not of much use to keep an active discussion.

Haha, each time I see this discussion about ROI'ing in either fiat or BTC I get this urge to chime in and try to convince others of my opinion. But the truth is that none of us will be able to convince the other, I tried already to convince philipma1957 on two occasions :p.

So not selling and keeping your assets with DZMC suggests that you have less trust in DZMC than when you're selling the shares? Logic?
Imo, holding the shares equals to putting more trust in the DZMC, relying on the fact that bobsag3 will come up with a fix to increase the hashrate.


May I remind you btw that the volatile nature of bitcoin also poses a risk to the profitability of selling the shares vs holding them? Bitcoin could very well rally up to a point when exchanging the money from the deal into BTC will result in less BTC than gained from keeping the miners running.

I'm not saying you're wrong, you have a reasonable chance of being right. But imho you're assuming too much, too confident that selling the shares is the right thing.
Have you voted already? If not, wouldn't it be wise to atleast wait untill the 14th to see what bobsag3 has to say and see what the conversion rate is at?

It is said that knowledge is one of the most valuable assets. If we wait for bobsag3's experience with the fixes he has in mind, we might be able to make a better decision in the end.

With the 100$ increase in the offer per share, my opinion of 'absolutely not selling' to  'probably not selling'.

When will bobsag3 return or be able to comment on possibility of increasing the hashrate?
If it is decided to sell the hardware, will the USD be converted to XBT on the 14th?

Suggestion: I'll make a google documents poll in a few hours. If everybody enters his forum name, # shares and preference we'll have an easy overview of how many shares are for or against selling.

I'll add DZminercoop staff to the document so that they can see that I'm not altering the document, and the results and individual votes will be posted in a few days.
