1  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Smartcoin Linux mining administration. [NEW LOCKUP DETECTION & FAILOVER SUPPORT] on: July 20, 2011, 06:21:40 PM
Hey! I just started using smartcoin today. But my second GPU wont run!

This is what i get when i try to launch it in Phoenix
Code:
miner@miner-MS-7642:~$ startminer.sh 1
ATI Overdrive(TM) enabled
ERROR - Set clocks failed for Adapter 1 - ATI Radeon HD 5800 Series
Please check that input values were valid
Startming Miner: 1
[20/07/2011 16:44:42] FATAL kernel error: Failed to apply BFI_INT patch to kernel! Is BFI_INT supported on this hardware?
miner@miner-MS-7642:~$

This is definitely a configuration problem with phoenix or a problem with your card. I think the 5800 should support BFI_INT.   I also see that you have an aticonfig error on this GPU as well. This almost looks like a fried card to me. You could edit your startminer.sh script and remove the bfi_int flag and see if it helps.  I would also run some aticonfig commands manually and see if it talks to the card properly.

Yeah, but the card works fine in windows :S Ill try to remove the BFI_INT flag

Im getting 5% rejected.. Recently switched from phoenix and i got < 3% there

Using a hd6850 with phatk kernel
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hash speed - Small variance after a few days of mining on: July 14, 2011, 01:53:01 AM
I have noticed this aw well with phoenix and the forman gui front end. (5830) my two smaller cards running guiminer and poclbm dont have this issue.
Thanks, ill try the guiminer. How is the performance on poclbm vs phatk? I remember i got a juicy boost when switching to phatk
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hash speed - Small variance after a few days of mining on: July 14, 2011, 01:38:34 AM
set aggression higher?

It runs fine with AGG=12 at 99% constant if i restart the miner. But its after 1-2 days its getting betwen 90-99% GPU usage.

Shouldnt be this way even if i use lower aggression... Maybe i should try with another miner. But phoenix is the best one out there =/
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Hash speed - Small variance after a few days of mining on: July 14, 2011, 01:24:26 AM
heat?
Nope.. They run at ~75c during the night and ~82c during the day

The 6850 never goes over 65c... Gigabyte - awesome cooling Wink
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Hash speed - Small variance after a few days of mining on: July 14, 2011, 01:01:16 AM
My hash speed on all three workers is getting a variance on like 10% after a few days of non stop mining. Going between 410 and 440 MHash/s on the 5870. 210 and 230 MHash/s on the 6850

Why is this? Also, sometimes they die for no reason. This is only for my 5870's... Not the 6850.

This is my flags for the 6850
Code:
phoenix.exe -u http://xxxx:xxxx@bitcoins.lc:8080/ DEVICE=0 BFI_INT VECTORS AGGRESSION=10 -k phatk

For the 5870
Code:
phoenix.exe -u http://xxxx:xxxx@bitcoins.lc:8080/ -k phatk DEVICE=1 VECTORS AGGRESSION=12 WORKSIZE=256 BFI_INT FASTLOOP -q 3

They run on separate machines

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sent 17 BTC to MTGox minutes before they shut down on: July 02, 2011, 01:11:28 PM
i deposited 15btc shortly before gox went down and it was there when gox came back up.

What Sad

And now they dont respond to my tickets! WTF IS THIS?!
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sent 17 BTC to MTGox minutes before they shut down on: June 27, 2011, 12:36:23 PM
Why don't you look up your transaction, so that it can be confirmed that you actually sent the btc?

I did look it up on blockexplorer. And the BTC is still on the adress that i sent it to
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sent 17 BTC to MTGox minutes before they shut down on: June 27, 2011, 12:27:47 AM
well you only lost a few cents since you were putting them in to sell for like a cent each

lol best comment I've read in a while

and a good point, why would you be depositing coin when the market rate was plummeting like a rock?

Because i thought i could make a good chip from selling high and buying low. Didn't know some guys account was hacked

And i were wondering if anyone else sent bitcoins to mtgox before the shutdown. If im the only ony to be left out on my coins Sad
12  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Switching from Windows to Linux with single GPU (6970) worth it? on: June 26, 2011, 11:34:45 PM
Fortunately, with the Catalyst 11.6, you can overclock beyond the BIOS limits under Linux now.

What? Is this true?

Will overclocking beyond 900MHz core be implented?
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sent 17 BTC to MTGox minutes before they shut down on: June 26, 2011, 10:27:25 PM
BUMP

Please help Sad
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / [SOLVED] Sent 17 BTC to MTGox minutes before they shut down on: June 26, 2011, 12:48:52 PM
...and i didn't receive them!

Anyone else having the same problem? I've sent a request on their support page but as you might know, it takes like 3 days to get an answer

EDIT: Got tired of waiting and checking the tickets. So i went on the IRC and msg'd MagicalTux and he fixed it in two minutes Cheesy

Strange.... two blocks found, but shares seem way off... and times are strange...

Is the site reporting blocks and shares accurately atm?

Thx
Got the same thing..

However, Jine credited the last block DOUBLE to ALL accounts Cheesy Hooray for Bitcoins.lc  Grin

EDIT: Not all accounts.. But everyone who had a share in the last block
17  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: So ... What pools are NOT having problems right now? on: June 14, 2011, 12:57:32 AM
Bitcoins.lc is working better than ever Smiley Except for the statistics, which is being worked on. About 202GH/s at the moment
18  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [170Gh/s+] Bitcoins.lc - Finally a usuable Bitcoin Pool! (EU, IPv6, 0% fee, LP) on: June 12, 2011, 08:10:36 PM
Well I had 1.4 and 1.48 in the same folder compressed so I decompressed 1.48 to make sure that's the one it was running
I'm pretty sure I'm running 1.48 though.

I'm in Canada

edit: So far I'm running at 100% but only started it a few minutes ago.

On another note, my 4870 is running at 85-86mh/s stable.

edit2: after making sure I have 1.48, I'm still getting about 4-5%

edit3: After a bit more tweeking, I now have my 4870 up to 88-89mh/s. Sweeeeeeet

So, after doing that, my rejected is up to 23%.

All I did was turn on phatk. I had fastloop on before too when I was getting 4%. I've since turned both off and I'll look into both to see what exactly they do. Ah being a nub.

Fastloop: the fast loop argument for Phoenix. Can possibly increase mining speed if enabled.
phatk: uses the phatk kernel, optimization for HD58xx series only I think? You MUST have phatk already inside the kernels folder.

I took out all flags (bfi_int vectors worksize=128) and now mh/s is back up to 89. Before taking out those flags I was at 85mh/s with 10% rejected.

Still getting 8.5% rejected

edit: Just turned off fastloop, currently have 13 accepted and 0 rejected while still getting 89mh/s. Will let it run for a while like this.

annnnnd same issue. 11% rejected as of now.

i have 2 video cards, 6990 and 4870x2. on the 6990 i get 1% rejected and on the 4870x2 i get 90% rejected.
what am i doing wrong?
im starting the 6990 with this:

./phoenix.py -u http://XXXX:XXXX@bitcoins.lc:8080/ -k poclbm Device=0 VECTORS AGGRESSION=13 WORKSIZE=128 BFI_INT FASTLOOP=false

and i start the 4870x2 with this:

./phoenix.py -u http://XXXX:XXXX@bitcoins.lc:8080/ -k poclbm Device=2 AGGRESSION=13 WORKSIZE=256

please help:)
thanks.
Wrong thread!

As you may have noticed, Bitcoins.lc is down. The pool however, IS NOT! So don't freak out and switch pool. Everything is juuust fine Wink

Hey! I really need help!!!

I just made a payout from bitcoins.lc on 8,6 BTC. I have my Wallet backed up on a memory stick. So i put the memory stick in another computer, installed bitcoins client and transfered the wallet to the computer. But i cant see the transaction! I still have the other bitcoins on it.
And all of the old transactions are gray'ed out with 0/unconfirmed. And its not redoing all the blocks! It just says "1000 blocks"

Please help!
Ya you have to wait for the blockchain to download!
It was downloaded on computer #1, but no sign of bitcoins!

Now i got the computer #2 to download the chain. Im on 127k right now. Going reeeaaally slow. Had to download a bit of the chain Tongue

But, we'll see! Thx btw

SOLVED: I removed everything in the Bitcoin directory except for my Wallet. Started the Bitcoin client, downloaded blockchain from May and restarted the client. Waited for about an hour and now i have my coins Smiley
