- Can you set specific OC via batch or config file with t-rex.?
- Is there a log option since I get softcrashes or the software randomly quits on me every once in a while.?

Thank you in advance for any advice here.

Hi,

is there a log option with T-rex?

My rig is crashing after couple of hours operating fine.

Also can you set the OC settings by the miner batch file itself?

Hey,

I have a rig with mixed GTX 1xxx cards. Today I have put 2 RTX 3070 into that rig. But T-Rex wont run. No matter if I try to run only some cards (like all the 1070 or 1080...), or all together, or only the old ones, or just the 3070. Even if I only put one 3070 in there or switch the sockets, there is always the same error.

Tried also with 0.19.5 and 0.19.11, with cuda 10.0 and 11.1., with admin and without, with and without the --no-nvml tag and with older 457.51 driver and the newer 461.40. Its a Win 10 pro 2004 version. The error I get is:

With both cards enabled:
> 20210215 22:06:58 ERROR: Can't start miner, can't pair device with KEY 000e00 [GPU #6, dom:0, bus:e, slot:0], failed to get handler of GPU nvml_id=350e75db36d696834d658e638e62f489: error code 999

Just one card:
> 20210215 22:29:32 ERROR: Can't start miner, can't pair device with KEY 000d00 [GPU #5, dom:0, bus:d, slot:0], failed to get handler of GPU nvml_id=8d88412b26e66b4ca70c342a6a9bbf2e: error code 999

All other rigs are fine with RTX 3080 and 3090 only cards. But I never mixed different generations. I also have not tested if I get the same error when I mix RTX 2xxx with the 3070. But maybe you already know what this can be. Other miners like the G** and L** dont have this problem and running fine, but I dont want to use them. So I think its some bug or whatever in your miner when mixing up generations.

Can you solve this somehow? Thanks!

EDIT: I just tested the 3070 card(s) in an RTX 2xxx system with Win 10 Pro 2004 and the newest 2H20 including older and newest nVidia drivers and got the same error:
> 20210216 10:32:57 ERROR: Can't start miner, can't pair device with KEY 000400 [GPU #1, dom:0, bus:4, slot:0], failed to get handler of GPU nvml_id=8d88412b26e66b4ca70c342a6a9bbf2e: error code 999

It doesn't matter if I try to start the 3070 alone or any other card, or all together, T-Rex wont run and just give this error. But all other miners have no problem in any combination. Is it possible that your miner doesn't know what to do with a 3070? In some different systems I have no problem with 3080 and 3090 cards, its just that 3070 cards... Strange Smiley

I ran 1070 2070 and 3080 in a single rig.
Also the 3070s work great...

Hello,

i run 4 different 3080 on a Z68 Extreme 3 Gen 3.

Whenever i try to run all 4 together one card randomly idles.

At the end it goes like this

Sometimes is get this at the "initialisation" after retry

Does anyone knows how to fix it?

Tell us more about the rig.
Are cards on risers or all on mobo?

Windows or linux?

Thank you for helping approach.

I bought a new Z390 board and it works with 6 cards now.

Is it possible to tewak OC settings directly in T-rex for each card? Currently i have to use Afterburner.

I get a lower hashrate on gpu slot 0. But no Monitor plugged in. No thermal issue. and I set my virtual memory to 24000.
Does anybody know why gpu0 could get lower hashes?

regards and thank you

Hi,

thanks for the latest update!

the ccminerdumax with x16r feels exclusive but gives me headache because of the occurring memory access violations i get on the way.
i know this is my fault - i run 1070 ti`s with mild oc and i set a big page file size.
any recommendation about the itensity setting ( -i 10 got me terrible squealing noises again e.g. )

regarding the recent equihash story https://www.heise.de/newsticker/meldung/Ende-der-Grafikkarten-Aera-8000-ASIC-Miner-fuer-Zcash-Bitcoin-Gold-Co-4091821.html
you probably already know.. but if not its worth a translate an read ( hope the author is partially wrong with this )

meanwhile i hope that the "upcoming" 200k breach wont last long..

sorry for the off topic - please help me out if you have some time.

regards

Hi,

i got 3x 1070ti with ahashpool goin on.
I am using nemosminer since January i got a very stable system and i haven't touched it ever since!

THANK U FOR THIS!

I could use a quick advice - will it be more profitable to upgrade to the latest nemosminer version or is it just a marginal change??

Thanks in advance.

Have you been using the normal, plus, or 24h settings?

hi newest version has more updated miners so will be faster in some algos also a few new algos have been added since January so your also missing out on them eg. x16r on zergpool is doing very well atm
Best Regards
Nemo

Thank u!
will update now

i have a lot of downtime with x17 and intensity 19, 20, 21 currently adjusted it to 17 (  ccminerAlexis78 )

im running 2x 1070ti strix a
@ 60% power +150 Core +600 Mem

anybody knows the reason for the miner to crash or not even get started`?

while mining phi ( CcminerTpruvotcuda9  ) it wont validate on my cpu ( this might be pool related? )
this occurs after reaching the peak hashrate

The Driver Versions differ from the 0 or 1 GPU
0 runs 388.71 WHQL [r388_43-17]
1 runs 388.71 WHQL [r388_43]
Both P2 State

i hope these are not stupid questions

Try 80% power/+100 core/+500 mem

thanks, i tried 80/100/500 it got a little bit more stable! i need the 110w max so i reduced the oc overall 60/10/500

some algos will let my cards make some weird noises expecially X17
neoscrypt will close itself after couple minutes regardless of the settings..

should i try to adjust intensity settings or get the latest specific miner for the problem algos or just disable it for now ?

what would you recommend

back off intensity until you can run your cards at 120 watts

The intensity settings must differ a lot between algos
X17 (-> 19 to 20) common for regular powered cards.. if you add for example intensity 15 to some algos manually your card will run with 2000mhz and sounds like a person in a roller coaster while performing.

It was very scary Smiley

Thanks for the great job already done!
Cool method to select a Backupool!

any thoughts on a lightweight intensity for neoscrypt?

Stability of a non-riser trio rig can be a bit better - fewer parts to go bad - but COOLING of the middle card in such a rig is a major problem.
You can work around that somewhat by using a "shorty" card as the third card, like a Zotac mini or the Gigabyte ITX models, but then you get to deal with the junk fans on the shorty cards (EVGA makes short cards with good fans but I don't think they go above a 1060 on them).

I built quite a few such rigs during my Folding days, as Folding@Home needs a lot of CPU support and a lot of PCI-E bandwidth to get good PPD (hashrate) out of the cards so riser rigs were NOT a viable option.
In theory, RIBBON-type x16 risers would have worked, but those tend to be a NIGHTMARE to work with and also tend to be very short.

dude you are so right

card's so hot i need a LD

damn just ordered some risers!

Thanks for all that coding!
awesome tool.

thx for all the help

i use my 970 to Benchmark the income rates right now..
i get 0.2 mBTC with nichHashminer but i think you will get fucked up with all that transaction costs and fees in the long run
trying MiningPoolHub once again with just two algos (Lyra2z and Equihash) getting payed in ETH pool fee is 0,9 and transaction fee is 0.62$

I am very sad that the Strix has got cheap fans (i always thought Strix is sort of premium) but i hope/think they wont be like the super garbage ones.

Running them at a fraction of full speed (40% maybe) with the most power efficient setting might help to prolong the fan's life

Damn now i see the interest in the EVGA cards but they start around 500€ per Card here in Germany.

thx for mentioning that https://www.crypto-coinz.net/crypto-calculator/ site!! I will watch this as you could get a super fast ROR with mining CrapCoins i always like to say NicolasCageCoins (:

Overhead wattage of a trio system might be 40/3 =13,3 W per card so i end up in the 120-130 W per card range
i heard parts have greater availability (better prices) and trio rig runs more stable (without leaving any gpu on idle) and i feel more flexible as i could expand easily no frame and risers needed in the beginning.

I could run three Strix ones now with my hx750i Power supply and add three more ( or ampere cards ) later with three risers and another 750 W PSU this is mostly due to my restricted budget of 1.5k € at the moment

Thanks for helping me out dudes - im so glad i joined back in the scene.. back in the days we had couple GPU's on BTC goin on but we kind of used that stuff to buy "special" stuff on the web.. damn the usecase was so different Smiley

regards

Hi dudes,

i will get three ROG-STRIX-GTX1070TI in couple Days

i almost had to sell my soul for this huge investment..because of Vosc Coin Channel  its debt pay of time now.

also my GF looks at me with that rlly not ok looking face.. ( damn.. please help me out guys )

currently i run a 970 with awesome miner i tried profit switching and tried only Zcoin(1,03mh/s) and only Zcash(285H/s) (@ mining pool hub )-> i had to shut it down -> i was able to get only 1,50$ per day with that card or lower.. whole system draws 145 Watts from the wall ( card draws 93 w  ccminer lyra2z)
How in Earth do they get 2,70$ when using recently hacked nicehash estimator https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator/nvidia-gtx-970?e=0.25&currency=USD

Do you guys get around 4$ per card per day
as recently hacked nicehash claims to get ??->  https://www.nicehash.com/profitability-calculator/nvidia-gtx-1070-ti?e=0.1&currency=USD

Why is profit switching so darn not doin any profit?
do i really have to abandon my 970?

Back in the day´s i played games but now i can't due to 100% gpu load Cheesy - so be it.

how can i reduce my system wattage of 65 watts further ( no hdd's, 2500k @ 1600 ghz two ram sticks.. ) is this old tech pulling that kind of wattage?
i have a Watt meter connected.

i am scared to be stuck around 2-3$ income per 1070 ti card i pay 0.25 cents per kwh so i am really looking at the efficiency 110W setting if i can manage to get it stable
how much are u getting out of this card and bloddy how?
any general thoughts?

regards

Marco
