1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why did you buy into/support blockchain technology? on: January 17, 2018, 11:51:13 PM
As I explained,  my goal is to now appreciate blockchain and crypto/alt coins.
Money would be nice,  but I like the fact that block chain removes the control from the f***s at the top.

Because it's something new and exciting that they can't and don't understand.  All they understand is power and greed and blockchain removes that power from those that have it.
You didn't think that it would be that easy to remove something that is the very foundation of society did you?
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Why did you buy into/support blockchain technology? on: January 16, 2018, 09:31:30 PM
Like alot of people, I bought into blockchain technology/alt coin/crypto coin around December in the hopes that I would buy into the next bitcoin and then become a billionaire within a month.
As I researched, developed my knowledge into blockchain technology, the more I began to appreciate and understand why such a technology was developed.

I work in IT for a while and I still love IT.  I don't and can't think of any other trade that I want to spend my working career in.  So technology such as blockchain excites me.  Not only on a mathematical/software side, but also the fact that it removes power and grip of ordinary working people from those that have had it for thousands of years: Governments and banks.

During my month or so time dealing and researching into crypto, I have gone through, like everyone that same emotional ride that you get from a coin returning 1000% of your earnings, to another dropping 500%.
I have learned that the crypto market is exciting, new and still in it's early stages.
If banks and Governments embraced it by what it is: a technology and not a coin.  Developed and worked with blockchain rather than try to control it, then it will be a better place all round for the world.
I don't see one bitcoin as £8k.  I see it as one bitcoin that I could buy a pizza with.  Or trade it for a car, whatever.  To me the coin has no real fiat value, because even though they can provide the same function, they are completely different ideals, rules and laws.

If this is the end (though I hgonestly don't think that cryptocoins and alt coins will die of a slow death) then so be it.  I feel that I am a more worldy person because of the knowledge and expereince I have gained during my tenure with traiding in alt and crypto coins.

So my question is as follows:  Why did you start investing into blockchain technology?
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Eth wallet not synching on: January 15, 2018, 08:44:40 PM
That's kinda what I thought.  I have a ledger on order, but meh, it was late and I wanted some eth for an ICO purchase.
Is there a way for move configure it onto another drive?  For some arsehole reason it threw it on the C drive, even though I installed it onto a much larger ssd.  I suppose if I move my profile onto another larger drive, that might work. (it's a 80gb nvme.  I have a samsung 960 on my pc waiting to be fitted, but I am being lazy this week)
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why every coin dumping now? I am losing huge money on: January 15, 2018, 08:30:14 PM
What is happening in crypto world? Every Altcoins are dumping now, I am new but I have some good worthy coins. Now I am losing huge money for this dumping.

What should I do now? I am very worry about it.

Asia decided to be evil and want to ban crypto currency.  Western socities have not caught up yet.  So there is a a temporary downward trend in crypto prices.
It will recover when Western countries catch up.  But here we see crypto as some magical thing that acts as similar as fiat money and not a progressive technology that would benefit all people from all walks of life.

Not touching it with a 10 ft pole, everything about the project raises red flags. You should be careful with this one if you really intend to put in your money. A lot of people claim it is a scam, you never want that when you invest in something. Always do good research before you put in your money into projects on the internet. Good luck!

Are you aware of any good lending platforms?  I am doing a combination of alt/crypto coins and lending platforms.
Sorry for sounding stupid, but I have only just got involved in this.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitconnect/Bitconnect x advice please. on: January 09, 2018, 07:12:29 PM
Does anyone use this?  Or have used this?  I am slowly building up a little portfolio as well as spreading into crypto lending.
I have done some research and alot of comments are stating that bitconnect is a scam.  Has anyone used this platform?  Have you made profit from this?

I have been using Davor for maybe a week and that's creeping up slowly on interest.
If people are using these platforms, how are you using them?
Are you dumping alot of money in it, or slowly building it up as and when you can afford it?

Any help would be appreciated.
10  Other / Beginners & Help / Crypto/Alt coins. New to this on: December 31, 2017, 02:09:46 AM
Morning people.

So I have been dabbling a little with alt coins. I have gained a little roi (about £200 on £200) investment. But does anyone have any experience in coins?
As there's ALOT of them on bittrex and coinechange.  I kinda don't know what to look for ect.  OR even what my goald is.
If people do trade coins, how do you know it's not a scam.
I don't want to be billionaire rich, but a little extra money won't go amiss.  But my priority is to have a coin that I can trust/invest in.
Am I too late to the party?  Is it  even a long  term investment anymore?

Opinions would  be appreciated.
