Ok, looking for the best ways to get heat out of my mining room...
8 x 10 room with 9ft ceilings, single window, single inside door. Generating a lot of heat.
I don't know anything about thermal stuff. Would it be best to:
1. Use a vent hood like apparatus with fan to get heat into the attic?
2. Use an attic fan for the same affect?
3. Put a fan or air conditioner in window for fresh/cool air?

Hello, been following this thread for a while now. Could not find an answer to this if someone could clue me in:
do the Xeon E7-4830s not perform like they should for hashrates? It has enough L3 cache.

Hello all,
I have been mining Monero a little over a year. Ran great for several months. Several diff PCs with RX550s and RX560s. All cards have been one-click bios updated using Polaris. No other changes made to the cards BIOSes.
Lately XMR-Stak (any 2.10.x version) is either giving a video driver error (then that card stops working in XMR-stak), or it blue screens.
These are all Windows 7 Pro machines, running very stripped down.
I have tried numerous settings, both with the video card drivers, as well as intensity/work size/unroll settings.
I really could use some help here. I can provide any other needed info.

Never mind. I think I changed its worker name somewhere along the way...maybe that reset the counter on the supportxmr page

Quick question. I have been mining Monero since Jan. I have several PCs with GPUs.
So I have a Dell 5600 with 2 RX5600s. Here are the results from it from supportXMR HR = 1.18 KH/s 1 HR avg = 1.05 KH/s 24 HR avg = 1.22 KH/s Total = 3,216,958,344
I have another similar PC with 2 GX950s: HR = 1.09 KH/s 1 HR avg = 813 H/s 24 HR avg = 831 H/s Total = 12,769,325,933
So, these have been mining for very close to the same amount of time. Why are the totals so different? Is there anything I should check?
I am using xmr-stak 2.4.2 on both.
I have a third that I put online much later (like months) and it has already passed the 5600 on total mined. It is about 1/2 the hashrate.

Mine has the 6220s. Sounds like I need a processor upgrade...

So with Monero back up again I decided to fire up my DL385 and give it another try. Put new XMR-Stak on it, configged and fired up. Still getting 660hs. This is stock with no GPUs in it.
Has anyone out there achieved a better rate than this?

Thanks for the advice. Unplugged and reseated everything, it came up and is working.

Ok, so attempting to add 3rd GPU to my Z600. Existing two are on the motherboard in slots, so 3rd one goes on riser. Plug in, power up, getting 5 or 6 beep code from HP, no video. Tried diff riser, same thing. Any ideas?
No BIOS switch on this as far as I can tell.
Not on a riser yet...How can I re-flash stock BIOS when ATIwinflash does not even detect it?
Ran the pixelpatcher again, rebooted. No change, 2nd card still shows as standard VGA adapter with a code 10 error.
matthev, the atiwinflash program will not run in safe mode, it tells me "due to Microsoft Win7 Enhanced security features, this application requires the user to be in administrator mode..."
Which I am doing by right-clicking and running as admin in safe mode.
This is Win7pro 64bit.

Hello, this concerning 2 rx550 cards by Sapphire. I got the newest Polaris editor, as well as ATIflash and the patcher program.
Did the first card, using only one click tuning. Rebooted, ran the patcher, card is fine.
2nd card did not do so well. It reported no problems, but now comes up as standard VGA adapter, even with the driver installed. I cannot reflash the original BIOS on it b/c ATIflash does not detect it.
What can i do with this?

Lastimp: When you get time to mess with it again, if you don't mind, let me know what you are doing to get better hashrates. I tried lots of things, but could not get what you are getting.

"I am mining cryptonight at 800+ h/s with the dual 6220 cpus"
Hmm. Best I could get was about 660 mining Monero with XMR-stak (no GPUS in it or attached to it). But I had Win7 pro on my 385.
Yah, if i could get 800, I would put it back in service.

The DL385s with the AMD 6220 does have AES, but seriously eats watts. Not cost effective right now.
Not very efficient. Oh well, it was a fun experiment.

I got my $150 server up to 660hr, but at 300w....gonna see if I can fit a GPU in it.
Wow. I thought I had found a great deal - 550hr for $150....
