1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CASH] Crypto CASH | Proof of Stake & COIN CONTROL | On Cryptsy | 0 PREMINE on: November 04, 2014, 05:38:54 AM
Any idea if this will compile on Linux, or more in particular Raspbian?
I've got a spare Raspberry Pi and can compile it on that to give it a go.
I've already set up full nodes for Feathercoin, UFOcoin, will probably do Phoenixcoin tonight, so might as well do this one too

Compiles fine on linux

Thnx man, that's really great of you to help out first, then ask for donations.

Until we have someone who can tell how innocent/nefarious your changes are, I'll be holding off on donating, however we are looking for someone to bring this wallet up-to date as the original dev buggered off.
There is a kitty, so if you're interested, please let me know.

E2A:
I had a glance through the changes and nothing jumps @ me as being obviously bad but I know VERY VERY VERY VERY little about coding, so if you're going to try it, please, you're doing so AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I'm up for bringing it a little more up to speed.  As this is a PoS coin, the code base is what it is.
There is nothing in the changes that are nefarious, but I do understand your concern.  If your really interested have someone from coinsource look at them and I'm sure they can verify.

Continued to make some changes.
    - MAC OSX compatibility
    - Fixed UPNP build issues
    - Various other small bug fixes

Source changes can be found at:
https://github.com/northwoodlabs/cash
(Made a pull request to original/master repository)

I've also built new Windows and Mac wallets.  These can be found here:
Mac: https://github.com/northwoodlabs/cash/releases/download/1.1.0.2/CASH-Qt-v1.1.0.2-macosx.dmg
Windows: https://github.com/northwoodlabs/cash/releases/download/1.1.0.2/CASH-qt-v1.1.0.2-win32.zip

I have modified the source with the following changes:
    - Changed the IRC network to LFNET (as Rizon/Undernet have banned all cryptocurrency nodes)
    - Added the directory/placeholder 'src/obj' so the source code compiles without manual intervention
    - Bumped the client version to 1.1.0.1
These changes can be found at https://github.com/northwoodlabs/cash
(I have created a pull request to the dev's master repository in case he/she decides to respond)

I have also compiled a new Windows Qt wallet (static built, no need for dll's) with above changes.  This can be found here: https://github.com/northwoodlabs/cash/releases/download/1.1.0.1/CASH-qt-v1.1.0.1-win32.zip

These changes should at least allow nodes to sync together, and less of a chance to fork.  Active nodes will have to upgrade so newer nodes can find them.

Before a block explorer can be put in place we will need all nodes synced together, this should help.

I have been working on a few other changes, I will hold off a bit and see if there still is any interest in going forward.

If someone would like to tip:

7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Unobtanium Info & Discussion on: June 16, 2014, 08:14:56 PM
Our symbol on all exchanges is UNO, except Comkort calls it UN.

Install success with UN/UNO's Linux wallet has been tricky since the JacobUx team released their wallet update.  I don't run it on Linux and I'm not a dev, so I can't give a technical description of the problem, other than to say there has always been some magic involved to get it to run on various Linux distros. Success on Linux has been inconsistent at best, and the problem wasn't resolved with the last wallet update, unfortunately.

The last changes to the wallet are described here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=527500.msg6375403#msg6375403
In the last release, UN/UNO was updated for heatbleed, checkpointed, and addnodes were updated.

I don't know exactly what Bryce has had time to finish, but I know he wanted to add some protection for Timewarp, resolve the Linux/Mac wallet issues, and some other things.

Appreciate the Un update!

Can we start referring to this by it's true abbreviation?

Un

NOT UNO.

Thank you, that is all.
