1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 Amlogic control board brick ? on: November 14, 2023, 09:56:28 PM
Hello Renatopinto,

Sorry for delay.

This is classic TTL cable: https://www.ebay.fr/itm/400708482567

Plug TTL Cable on your PC and lets windows install driver. Go in Windows bar and in "Device Manager" and in "PORT & COM" you will see your cable and his PORT attributed.
After that you need to have software to manage result of signal (on terminal), for exemple on Windows you have: MobaXterm

Launch MobaXTerm -> Session -> Select Serial ->Select right COM port -> Speed 15600 bps and RUN
Plug your TTL cable on controal board (TX, GND, RX) and turn on the board.

and all result will appear on your screen !

Best regards

Oh yes !

Info of PHY chip of an AMLOGIC C76 control board is:
SMSC 8710A

and link is this: https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1924473024.html?spm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.3.6bba7d56CYPPDm&gatewayAdapt=glo2fra

If anyone in UE want a piece, let me know ! (to avoid 3weeks delivery)
3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 Amlogic control board brick ? on: September 27, 2023, 01:04:51 AM
Hello everyone,

So I received the PHY chips, and I can confirm....that it came from there.

So in conclusion, if you have the DDR blinks which are faintly lit and the ETH socket blinks off and in your logs via TTL cable you have code similar to mine up to "eth%d: No PHY found".

there's a good chance that the PHY part is responsible for the control board not booting. Because it's one of the last parts to boot (after the CPU in any case).
The following diagram gave me a clue, as it clearly shows that the PHY module controls the ETHERNET, the LEDS and the magnetic.

I hope this has helped some people! (but I curse AMLOGIC anyway, it's poorly documented and fragile as hell).

4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Antminer S9 - Powers up but does not work on: September 01, 2023, 05:22:42 PM
You bought a second-hand miner and the logs show that the hashboards are correct, no CRC counter, you can connect to the interface locally, so it's OK. So I'd say virus.

As the person above me said, take a custom firmware with on-board antivirus and try flashing it.
5  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 Amlogic control board brick ? on: September 01, 2023, 05:13:09 PM
All right! I ordered a set of PHY chip, it will arrive in 15 days.

See you
6  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Antminer S21: Bitmain’s Game Changer in the Bitcoin Mining World. on: September 01, 2023, 04:55:38 PM
I'm betting on ~18.5/TH
7  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 Amlogic control board brick ? on: September 01, 2023, 12:59:29 PM
After careful analysis, the last line corresponds to "No Phy Found". The rest of the logs show a healthy boot and NAND. So I started looking at the PHY chip.

On the internet you can find this diagram:

I conclude that since my leds and eth plug are off and PHY is controlling this, the little PHY chip is dead.

So I unsoldered the part and ran the analysis, and the logs are exactly the same, confirming my point.

I'll order the part and keep you posted.
8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S19 Amlogic control board brick ? on: August 30, 2023, 06:45:01 PM
Hello,

I went straight to the TTL step because all the previous steps (the IpReport button, the flash with microUSB with the little green light that comes on after 30sec) had already been done but the restart doesn't happen. So I decided to use mobaxterm and a TTL cable to check what was happening in the control board, and I've posted the results above. I've also attached below the TTL log during boot with the microUSB for firmware.

9  Bitcoin / Mining support / S19 Amlogic control board brick ? on: August 30, 2023, 01:53:04 PM
Hello everyone,

I have an amlogic s19 j pro card which I think is totally brick following the firmware update.

I used a TTL cable to analyze the outputs of the board, and here is the log. If anyone has an idea of the fatal error and how to solve it, thank you!

10  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: firmware with configurable frequency for antminer s9? on: January 29, 2023, 03:20:58 AM
Hi guys, I am currently making an S9 radiator haha

I will need a firmware with immersion version for the run without fan (that easy to find) on the other hand I have a particular request, is there a firmware with a reduction by chip temp?

Example if I lower the extractor with its potentiometer, as the chip will heat up (example set at 85°c) the miner will lower its frequency to come back to the target temperature?

Thanks in advance
11  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 0 ASICs with good CLK & RI signal ? on: January 14, 2023, 09:00:02 PM
Hello mate,

I'm sorry, between last message and know I do some research and I found on R710 7v ! (abnormal value)
And at this time I did a mistake and a shortcut was created, result all my CLK signal is dead...

Any idea how to repair active system ? Cuz I already change 25M clock but she is passive so isnt her problem here..

Thanks
12  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: 0 ASICs with good CLK & RI signal ? on: January 11, 2023, 06:42:12 PM
What do you found far from good value ? CLK isn't 0.9 normal value ? and RI 1.8 ?

Yes I've only one hash on this conjtrol boad (its my test board)  Wink
13  Bitcoin / Mining support / 0 ASICs with good CLK & RI signal ? on: January 09, 2023, 05:37:15 AM
Hello guys!

Happy new year Smiley

Today? I repair a 0 asic hashboard. To begining, it was just a RI signal problem appear on chip 30, I just replace him.
Now,
RI signal is good in every row (1,8v).
all CLK signal and everyone are on 0,9 (lowest is 0,896v). So I guess all its okay.
all each core between next row are 0,4v (lowest is 0,394v). So its okay too ?

But when I run the miner, he detect 0 ASIC. In miner status I got my pool, fan, and one line after antminer shows "ASIC 0 ; IDEAL HS 0; REAL TIME HS 0;" So I guess my hashboard is detected normaly ?

I check my datacable, and PSU cable, all is good cuz with another hashboard everything is great.

I post my kernel log here if anyone see something...

Thanks

You're right, the chip 29 had problem. So I remplace it one more time, and all its good now Smiley
15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: RI signal at 0 S9 on: December 14, 2022, 01:37:35 AM
So I checked CLK (green line from 00 to 63) and RI (yellow line from 63 to chip 28 or I lose RI from here)

The chip 28 is the one I replaced as said above. But the resistances taken at the terminals of this one are correct. (CLK 0.433 CO 0.396 Ri .397 BO 0.396 RST.0316)

I have tested also core to core and I found 0,446v between each chip with next row

Hi friend, I confirm that the RI signal stops on this chip (see picture) despite my multiple chip soldering I do not understand.

When you say "jumper" it would be from where to where?

17  Bitcoin / Mining support / RI signal at 0 S9 on: December 13, 2022, 12:04:26 AM
Hi guys, small question on a hashboard s9 4.21, I replaced a chip, the clock is well at 0.9 but the RI at 0v, the LDO comes out well 1.8v and 2.5v bottom pin.
All the small resistors are at the right ohm. After soldering the chip, I checked the resistors CLK30 CO30 RI30 BO30 RST30 are good in ohm. I conclude that the chip soldering is good?
Any idea where it comes from?

Thanks!

Hello ! Thanks for your awnser..
I changed my LDO to try and the thing is identical, when I plug the multimeter I have 1.80 then a micro fall to 1.599 then 1.780 and remains stabilized there and I think that is what puts me in fault RI, I imagine that it comes from a resistor yet they are all functional. At least they show a value lower than the others but proportional to 1.72 and not 1.8 I do not understand too much

In the video I test a track next to it which is good and the LDO of the defective track

I understand, not easy without the PCB board

Thanks anyway, I tested all the components (fig 19) they are all ok. I have to buy the pick3 to flash in HEX, I don't have this item yet !

And if ever I would do a replacement of the sensor !

I sent the card in question to a friend so I don't have any logs, but I update as soon as I have a new error (I have the same one on another card)

Also on another card, I have all the chips in CLK at 0.9 but the RI signal breaks level 26 25 24. And is at 0 until chip 00.

I tested the LDO, they are well at 1.8v and functional. The capacitor 330u 2.5v also functional.

Where can this come from according to you ?

On this picture you have in grreen area CLK0.9 & RI 1.8 and in RED CLK 0.9 and RI at 0v
