Thank you pedrog! I have heard "Pirate My Film" mentioned, but haven't checked out the website until today after you posted the link. It looks pretty good so far. Thank you!

Phinnaeus Gage:

I said that our film is "maybe even the first film", since I didn't know which films had already accepted bitcoins from funders/financiers. Life on Bitcoin and Bailout 2 are films that have already accepted/accepting Bitcoins from backers, so they are definitely in the "first category" ahead of our film. We are, however, still among the first ones or early ones to open it to Bitcoin acceptance like I stated in the original post as well.

Now, do you have any questions that could be useful in this forum regarding our film and sharing more about it, or ways we we as filmmakers can further attract bitcoin supporters to support indie filmmakers in general?

We have a special update from an earlier post I made regarding my upcoming film.

We just released a newly designed homepage and preview video of a film I am currently directing and portraying the lead female role in called Tangerine Skies.

The film is ONE of the first films or early films, or maybe even the first film, to accept Bitcoins from people who want to become a "backer" for the film in exchange for certain perks we're giving (e.g., being named associate producer, press publicity, featured in film credits, a small speaking role, etc...). We hope that we can help boost bitcoin usage in the film industry as well.

**You'll automatically here music playing from the soundtrack - I am the singer and musician - and also music from my last album - mostly instrumentals.

*The film is about a a couple who goes on the greatest treasure hunt in history, and an unseen dark force who wants to stop them..especially the woman. The treasure to be found is so powerful it could eliminate poverty and overturn the world's power and economic structure (who controls what, where, and when). Naturally, the couple will have to fight dark elite forces who want to stop that from even happening. The film is inspired by actual events and documentation of the actual ancient treasure object

If anyone is interested in supporting the film, you can also visit our link with all the details here: http://www.gcrestproductions.com/tangerine-skies-film-vip-package.html.
4  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin Christmas Catalogue: Luxury items and experiences on: December 05, 2013, 10:04:06 PM
Thank you Sindelar! We're really excited about the potential for Bitcoin and see how things go offering people the ability to purchase from us using them.
5  Economy / Goods / Bitcoin Christmas Catalogue: Luxury items and experiences on: December 05, 2013, 01:15:54 PM
We released the Christmas Dream Catalogue, which we nicknamed the Bitcoin Christmas Catalogue because 99% of the items listed can be purchased with Bitcoins. This catalogue was inspired by the Neiman Marcus catalogue, which provides very unique and exclusive high end and luxury gifts and "experiences" for customers.

The Christmas Dream Catalogue offers products and "experiences" related to our travel entertainment, music, and film products. These include having your own treasure hunt adventure arranged for you with your personal tour guide, live performance from a recording artist (she's featured on MTV.com) at your holiday party, and more. Prices range from just a few dollars worth to in the 5 digits.

Here is the link to the free catalogue (full color downloadable PDF catalogue):
http://www.gcrestproductions.com/christmas-dream-catalogue1.html

The only thing not available for purchase with Bitcoins is the holiday music pack, which is available for USD (we are waiting for Yumcoin to become available before selling music in Bitcoins). You can, however, download one of the songs for free "Ski Chalet" from the website that the catalogue gives you to download the song.

Also, in an earlier post I announced that we are releasing a new film in 2014, and you can be part of the film in exchange for Bitcoins. To learn more here are two links:

6  Economy / Goods / Film VIP Packages on Sale. Be Part of our Film in exchange for Bitcoins! on: December 04, 2013, 12:38:41 AM
Hi everyone! We are releasing a new adventure film called Tangerine Skies in 2014, and I am offering a bunch of goodies from the film and also opportunities for people to actually be part of the film..and we accept Bitcoins.

I am the director of the film and play one of the lead roles. What I have done is to create the Film VIP Packages, which are a series of exclusive packages and items that include a chance to attend the film premiere with me and the crew, receive digital and DVD/Blu-Ray copies of the film, opportunities for you or your business to be featured in the film and in the film credits, be a "Director" for a day, spend a day on the set (meal included), and other cool stuff and experiences.

Here is the link to view the packages and one of the film's preview video:

http://www.gcrestproductions.com/tangerine-skies-film-vip-package.html.

The video on that page gives you a taste of what the film this is about. Also, you can check out the rest of the Tangerine Skies film pages and website in general to learn more.

What is Tangerine Skies?
Tangerine Skies is a treasure hunt adventure film, which is going to shake up not only our perception of the world's economic and power structure, but also shake up the structure itself like nothing we have seen before. The film is inspired by actual events and an actual documented ancient treasure object that is either completely unknown to the world or is a mystery (not knowing its true power and secrets). I came to know the story of this object and the events that inspired this film during different parts of my life growing up, and also when I became a specialist in art and historical artifacts (my previous museum career). For this film, I am pulling from my experience in that former career and also from my life long experience in the performing arts, media/film production, and storytelling. The film is currently in Phase 1 of its production (limited filming and film score composing). The main portion of the filming will begin in late January 2014. The release is expected for late Spring/early Summer 2014. We will be submitting the film for film festivals and for broadcast, and also have it shown online and in art centers/small theaters.

Tangerine Skies is one of the few, but hopefully growing list of films, which will accept Bitcoins as part of the film's funding and as a form of payment for those who want to purchase goods and services related to the film. Hopefully Kickstarter will begin accepting them as well to further help filmmakers.

One more note...on the website, if you check out our Christmas Dream catalogue, the catalogue items accepts Bitcoins as well. I may do another post to talk a little about the catalogue soon.

Have fun, and let me know if you have any questions. If you see any errors, also please let us know! I am finalizing the last few delivery times for the packages as we speak.

On the website I provide a contact email too.

8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: November 27, 2013, 11:59:19 PM
I would like to congratulate everyone who were the early adopters, investors, and accepters of Bitcoins. Despite the naysayers, you all were patient and held on to your Bitcoins, now you are reaping benefits that many thought were unimaginable. I am a late starter with Bitcoins, and just started accepting it as payment for my products and services (which I'll reveal in a later post), and I am very happy I made the decision. Maybe a movie should be made about the early adopters who became wealthy from Bitcoin, make it into one of those "underdog beats the odds" stories. Just a thought.

9  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Daily Bitcoins - New advertising type with efficiency superior to banner ads! on: November 27, 2013, 09:56:39 PM
I keep getting "disable ad blocker" after I submit my address and captcha, but the ad blocker is disabled on my computer/browser. I wasn't having these issues earlier today when I successfully sent in my wallet address and captcha for the 0.00001 BTC. It was only later today (1 hour ago) I received the "disable ad blocker to request your prize" message. The bitcoin prize was up to 0.0001 at that time. I tried a second time after that a few minutes later, the same message pops up. Since Daily Bitcoins was working earlier today, and I don't have the ad blocker enabled...this may be something on Daily Bitcoin's end (buggy?).

Anyone else having similar issues?

Hey Kieran! I was using the title that the article gave "Bitcoin Hosting Black Friday...", but I went ahead and corrected my post title to reflect the change that Bitcoin is not actually hosting the event..but there is a huge Bitcoin Black Friday event this week.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Bitcoin's Huge Black Friday Event, Nov 29th on: November 27, 2013, 07:25:25 AM
Hey, I am a newbie, and I wanted to share this article from CNNMoney. Bitcoin is hosting its own Black Friday Event on November 29th, and it looks like it will be quite a turnout among businesses participating. Of course Amazon is involved, and also Target, Marriott, and many others. Link: http://money.cnn.com/2013/11/26/technology/bitcoin-black-friday/

Here is an excerpt from the article:

"Gyft is also selling gift cards to Amazon (AMZN, Fortune 500), Target (TGT, Fortune 500) and Marriott (MAR, Fortune 500) hotels. And people can also make charity donations with bitcoins". You will also find a highlighted title of another article about how Virgin's space passengers can pay with Bitcoin now.

I wonder if Bitcoin will host a Cyber Monday event as well?

On that note, I will be posting an announcement shortly regarding my participation in Black Friday (and Cyber Monday). I am bringing out large and small entertainment-related gifts and digital products that can be bought with Bitcoins.
