you need cpid before mining

thanks for your reply. Shouldn't that be taken care of by the pool?

what does this error mean?

"poolinfo1": "Failed to sign CPID signature (Address does not refer to key)?; Failed to sign CPID signature (Address does not refer to key)?; ",

Hi,

One question, I'm trying to mine XMG using two rpi3. Using raspbian I'm getting about 4Kh/s (4 * 1.1) for each rpi3. Some time ago I've read this thread https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=196909 where an user says that he's getting about 10Kh/s for a single rpi3 using a 64bit SO.

So I've installed arch64 in one of my rpi3 and after compiling the m-cpuminer-v2 I'm getting the same 4Kh/s than the 32bit SO. Are these the expected results? Could it be related with the way I've compiled it? Could it be related with the pool I'm using (minerclaim)? Any idea about what's happening?

Thanks in advance for your help.

I followed this tutorial: https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@dury10/cpu-mining-use-your-cpu-to-make-money-online-with-an-eco-friendly-algorithm

The following are some solutions to the problem:

- create some sort of passport registration to mine and eventually impose limits (not the ideal solution)
- Token mining - Example -> X amount of tokens are generated every 12 hours. Every token has a max hash limit of 4320000 hashes (100hashes/second For 12 hours). Once this token is used (limit reached), it can no longer be used. These tokens are distributed randomly among interested miners. There might be times when you don't receive a token, but when you do you can't exceed the limits. This technique will create a balanced network.

--Edit

Tokens can be distributed per block

Hello folks, I passionately followed the coin, today after seeing the result of mining I realize something very simple, this currency is easy to corrupt and collapse, these days as things are with the market for cryptocurrencies and impositions from different governments, I realize that yes, a government would like to end with xmg, simply redirecting a lot of hash rate towards the mining of this, ruining the whole network, since it would not reward anyone, a government can give itself the pleasure of doing this and believe me that sooner or later this will happen, today I abandon the mining of this currency, there are many more profitable than this, then from the fork everything went to sink (and I do not speak of the price) a hacker took rewards and that keep this currency active take the punishment, is my simple point of view, goodbye XMG

I totally agree with this logic. Time per block is still high and let's all remember that XMG isn't that popular. What's going to happen when it becomes more popular? Everyone will start mining which will make it impossible for the coin to be used.

BLODDY HELLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

minerclaim.net

1       beryung23    7,499Kh/s

kick the dam bastard already!!!!!!!!!!!

there's nothing to do. Now it's been a week and whales are still here. Obviously it's clear. They are not using their electricity. Current difficulty is set to 11.9!! I've been checking this forum occasionally to hear some good news about those cheaters but nothing Sad

why cheaters?

the mechanic of XMG POW is to reduce POW rewards if hashrate rise
nice this means we get now a low inflation coin

the more people put hashrate into XMG the less inflation will be

i dont see that as cheating

if u want XMG buy some
time to easy mine them or even worse instant sell what u mined
that times might be over

the price raise and be able stay high is mostly based on low amount of new coins produced

XMG is pretty well protected by POS and POW is just like a coin rollout gimmick where the rule is

the more people want it (mine it) the less they get it

a perfect solution to make it hard get hands on XMG beside buy them on exchange

or stake them with tiny 3% POS rewards

"MAGI puts efforts on removing the competitive nature of mining, and particularly focuses on fairness, cost effective and energy efficiency when issuing coins and maintaining the public ledger and the blockchain system."

That's why they are cheaters Smiley

I was interested about this coin because it made sense to mine with a PI.

On https://xmg.minerclaim.net top 15 users are making more than 300KH/s...Top 1 is making more than 1600..come on...

Please enforce the limits..

the way the network is give up with the raspberry pie

how it is it may take over 3 months or more to get 1xmg

i've had 450kh on for just over 12 hours now and have 0.25xmg unconfirmed!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the whole idea about this coin is to be energy efficient and can be mined by everyone. At least if not with the Pi, with an i7. Can the developers express their views about this matter? thanks

Don't know abt xpoolx, I run another pool.
Other pools that I do know of are getting their blocks confirmed.

Can you please suggest me a pool, then I will move my workers there.

Feel free to move if you want, the more the merrier.

why you dont use ssl one your pool?

Hihi, good one. Will add asap.

Thnx

That's a good idea Smiley

Hello Magi Community
because i was asked where do you mine and how its going with the XMG mining
i made this new "tutorial"
https://steemit.com/altcoin/@dury10/pool-mining-coin-magi-xmg-after-the-hard-fork-review
Enjoy

Thanks for your tutorials Smiley I tested your PI64 tutorial and it worked.
