1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [OS] nvOC easy-to-use Linux Nvidia Mining v0019-1.3 on: October 19, 2017, 11:17:22 AM
Hi - love the idea of nvOC and want to try it out.  I have some Fire Pro W series cards and saw this announcement from Nvidia.

http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/AMDGPU-Pro-Beta-Mining-Driver-for-Linux-Release-Notes.aspx

Given the Ubuntu support shown in the announcement, will this driver work with nvOC.  Any tips?

Just tried calling the number listed on the website.  No dice.  Feels scammy to me.

5  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) Hotmine X5 upgrade kit for Antminer S1/S3/S5 on: October 17, 2017, 12:25:05 AM
it took almost two weeks for their replay after a couple of emails we exchanged before

they said that X6 upgrade cost 825 usd  and it could take 8 weeks to be delivered, becacuse they are waiting to get more orders, which is understandable

but after my last email to them - no response

If they want to get more orders together, I'm game.  I emailed them from their site and waiting for a response.  I realize this could be used to upgrade my C1s, and I have a pile of them.  So I could put in a big order for these if they work in an Antminer C1.  They should.  I think they are all the same boards and the C1s just had the water cooling blocks instead of the fins.

Oh, it's posted there too.

These guys SUCK.  Big time.  I have 4 figures invested in multiple orders since I thought I did proper diligence.  We had assurances from resellers and everything.

My have tickets have been left Unassigned (meaning nobody is even looking at them) for over 60 DAYS.

Get on it Black Arrow.  You have a LOT of pissed off customers and it is time to stop fucking around.

And don't tell me to relax either.  7 months in plenty of patience in my book.  Stop fucking around Black Arrow.

If you actually want to have a company then ACT like you have one.  If you don't, then go out of business and just tell us and I'll write it off as a loss.

PM me Black Arrow and I'll send you the ticket numbers.

STOP FUCKING AROUND
(and answer the tickets from your paying customers.)

I've got 500 chips from BitcoinValet.  What is the cost for 31 boards?

12  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Kingasic.com on: February 20, 2014, 10:54:11 PM
This company is a SCAM.  I also ordered a miner, received a reply to my questions, sent payment and then ....nothing.  They are gone and took my BTC.  I should have been more careful.  Don't make the same mistake.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Failure to Understand Bitcoin Could Cost Investors Billions" (Bitcoin's flaws) on: February 15, 2014, 02:42:25 AM
So, I am left wondering why this requirement is listed for the killer alt coin in the OP;

"provably cpu-only mining"

It seems to me that now that SHA 256 ASICs exit that are much less electricity hungry, that they would get pointed to the alt coin as BTC becomes too hard to mine.  That hardware can ONLY mine coins.  As BTC gets too difficult, owners of older ASICs will simply point them at other SHA 256 coins.  That is my theory.  Am I missing something?

I was planning picking my up at the factory the 24. of February.
But with the news in this thread I am not sure booking a ticket is such a good idea.

And you booked your Chinese visa 2 months in advance then?  (Can't get in without one ;-) )

16  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin ATM in New England on: January 15, 2014, 02:58:29 AM
It is a Robocoin machine so the fee is set to 5%.  As to the cash, you hire a service company that does the same thing for bank ATMs.

Hi - I have separately purchased a LOT of 500 BF chips.  So I would like to get 32 of these made up.  Can you let me know the price if I supply the chips I have?
