Update on Windows IoT version.

2 day in and I have it all plugged in and working with a basic UI.

Windows IoT is surprisingly easy to work with.

I had problems with my 8 channel “5v” board.

Turns out it only ran with 12v! So that is powered off a PSU now.

I ping claymore port, then turn relay on if no response.

I had to check firewall settings for claymore too, that gave me some silly problems.

I was thinking about doing a Windows 10 IoT version in c#.

Do you need to externally power the relay?

If you need some help with setup, give me a shout.

Looking for someone with similar setup / interests as mine.

Not sure if we can help each other, but here is a link to a thread about ventilation.

I have added ebay links to the fans i used.

13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Starting a UK mining farm on: February 27, 2018, 10:25:51 AM
So airflow is the answer!

Now my next problem is where can I get fans of that size in the UK, would it be better to import them in from China or is that too risky in terms of quality?

Where in the UK are you located?

This was my setup, I’m moving it to something similar but with silent ventilation soon.
Waiting on other parties, so I have a whole farm sitting in boxes at the moment  Angry

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Delta PSU Issue on: February 09, 2018, 05:54:55 PM
I’ve posted about this issue before.

From what I have found is that certain server PSU’s are >12v.

My DPS2000 work with pic.
DPS 2400 do not.

All exact same setups.

So to make it easy I run a 600w ATX for MB risers etc and server PSU’S for GPU.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 30kW mining farm - need ventilation advice [Reward] on: February 04, 2018, 08:43:37 AM
Hey dude

Here are a couple of pics of the setup I just dismantled.

It may or may not help you.

I didnt do any calcs for cooling as I had certain restrictions

The 400mm fan is only 400mm because of the studwork.

The 600mm fan was the biggest I could get in the window.

I will send some pics of my new build when i start if that helps.

Im having a raised floor with intake coming up through the floor in vents, and then ceiling fans taking hot air out.

18  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: antminer s9 set a target temperature? on: February 02, 2018, 07:04:46 PM
Such a thing does exist.

This is how I control my farm.

I can only cool the room so much, and so the frequency is set according to temperature automatically by my software.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 30kW mining farm - need ventilation advice [Reward] on: February 02, 2018, 05:28:33 PM
@brokenarrow

I’m going to the farm to knock it down tomorrow as the landlord doesn’t like the noise.  Sad

It’s like 96dB or something stupid. May have made that number up...  Huh

So I will get some pics before it all goes.

I’m running about 28kW.

I’m thinking to move it to a lead lined container I have access to.

The warehouse is huge, so I didn’t have any issues with re-circ on the heat.

Industrial Ventilation Extractor Metal Axial Exhaust Commercial Air Blower Fan https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F40138896289

Also...

I had a quote for custom ventilation to be made for same size room
2 x intake & ducting
5 x exhaust fans (5 was recommended number)
And cowling and muffler / silencer
Around £1000
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 30kW mining farm - need ventilation advice [Reward] on: February 01, 2018, 05:29:08 PM
I have 27 D3’s and 1 x S9in a tiny room in a warehouse.

I had huge issues with cooling to start.

I resolved this pretty easily.

400 mm intake fan into cold isle at low level

A 600 mm mobile fan in centre of cold isle facing upwards

600mm exhaust fan in centre of wall on hot isle.

The fans were from eBay around £250-£400 each.

I have control software which then lowers / raises frequency according to antminer temperature.

The 600mm fan is probably only slightly quieter than the 28 antminers that are running!

I’ll get a pic up if it will help
