Mine is fully working and I have it on eligius and can provide the link to its performance stats page.

Where can you buy those to receive within a few days?  The only places I've seen are sold out or higher priced.
4  Economy / Auctions / Terraminer IV - In Hand on: April 03, 2014, 03:12:01 PM
Hi All, I posted about a month ago about two weeks before I received them, but decided not to sell.

I have two Terraminer IVs and selling only one.
This one runs at 1.6 terrahash, and has been running without incident for 8 days.  Prior to that I had to restart it maybe twice.  Early on, I was trying to figure out what the best position to put it on the shelf I keep it on and where to aim the portable air conditioner and fan.  There has been no degradation of speed or anything like that.

The reason I'm selling is that I have too much mining stuff in my house.  My apartment is at a toasty 85 degrees pretty much all the time, but I don't run my A/C.

The machine is loud, but not THAT loud.  I've heard louder servers before.  Really depends on your tolerance for noise.

I have the original box that it was shipped in, and power cables.

The bidding starts at 16 BTC including shipping.  Local pick up is possible too, PM me.

I'm happy to use a trusted escrow service.

I've subscribed to ProTraderTips for just about a month now and I am impressed.
He provides a lot of information and many tips which are correct.
I was skeptical, but I gave it a try because I made a lot of money on my own when it was much easier.
You definitely have to pay attention.  Several times I did not react to read his messages for about a day and I missed out, or had to keep my funds in a play for longer than I would have liked.  That's 100% on me.
6  Economy / Auctions / Re: Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch on: March 07, 2014, 12:51:41 AM
I get that, but I think I can cancel my order and just the money back and buy BTC.
7  Economy / Auctions / Re: Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch on: March 06, 2014, 10:48:15 AM
I will disregard that bid as it provides me with just about zero (0) profit margin.
8  Economy / Auctions / Re: Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch on: March 05, 2014, 07:54:34 PM
Yes, this is not news.  However, it's supposed to be 1.6 - 1.7.

I just received email that the machine has moved to "shipping preparation" from "production".

The hash rate is increasing.  How do you know these aren't part of that?
10  Economy / Auctions / Re: Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch on: March 05, 2014, 03:25:26 AM
Cointerra called me today to verify shipping address.  If anyone is interesting in paying 13 BTC for 1 unit, let me know by 10 PM CST March 5th.
11  Economy / Auctions / Re: Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch on: February 28, 2014, 09:13:35 PM
I just received notice that my order has "entered manufacturing".  I'm going to close the auction for now while I do some math.
12  Economy / Auctions / Re: Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch on: February 28, 2014, 12:50:44 AM
Ok - I would do that.
13  Economy / Auctions / Re: Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch on: February 27, 2014, 03:48:21 PM
So start bid, 17 BTC, which includes the shipping I've already paid.  That does not include intl shipping.
I am open to using escrow, but you are purchasing an pre-order, how is this usually done?  I don't want to have to wait for the funds until the unit arrives, that's one of the reasons I am selling.
14  Economy / Auctions / Re: Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch on: February 27, 2014, 03:41:10 PM
Hey guys - sorry I've been really slow.

So to answer your questions.

Why I am selling :

1) I currently scrypt mine with a bunch of video cards and am pretty much maxing out the electrical capacity of my apartment.
2) Mining scrypt has been kind of a hassle.  The cold weather has helped, so looking towards the summer, I expect mining to be an even more annoying process.  I know that the Terraminer should be easier, but I'm kinda over it.
3) As you can see in the invoice, I ordered two.  My second one is a group buy with friends of which I own about a third.  I'm pretty silly (as you can see in my posting history) and I actually gave out "Merry Hashmas" Christmas cards out for Christmas.  And I actually got a calligrapher to fill them out.  The second one is probably going to have to be hosted not in my home.
4) I hear that the unit is loud.  My apartment isn't that big.
5) I think I'm already exposed enough as far as Bitcoin/Crypto investment risk is concerned.

I don't know how much shipping to Australia is.  I'm sure Cointerra has already shipped internationally, so this shouldn't be difficult to figure out.

I have to think about a reasonable price point.  I'll scan the invoice this weekend.
16  Economy / Auctions / Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch on: February 20, 2014, 09:23:46 PM
Is there any interest in an auction for a Cointerra Terraminer "2" TH "February" Batch?  I say "2" because "2" means "1.6" and "February" means it will be delivered in a month almost completely unlike February.
17  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: CoinTerra Visit this Friday: Post questions and what pics you desire to ask/see. on: December 06, 2013, 07:29:05 AM
Seeing this post a bit late, so hope you check this before you visit tomorrow.

I preordered 2 Terraminers (1 group buy where I own almost 50%, and another on my own).  When I called asking about power usage they quoted 1300 kwh.  Someone else in my group buy called and was quoted 1650 kwh.  It'd be nice to find out the real deal.

When I called I had asked many questions which were thought up by my group, one of which was, "Is there a process for upgrading the firmware? How difficult is that process?  What is it like?"  We asked this because we considering sending our miners to a colo facility and if the firmware needs upgrading we might not be able to do it remotely.  They said they'd get back to me but they have not (about 3 weeks now)

Get a hamster and a wheel and put that sucker to work!

I went to the pet store and asked for the hamster with the highest hash rate.  They politely escorted me out.
19  Other / Off-topic / Green Mining : Hand-Powered USB Charger on: November 20, 2013, 04:41:34 AM
I've gotten one of these hand-cranked USB dynamos to power a USB block erupter.  The problem is, it takes two hands two run, and while I'm doing it I can't get a hand free to start bfgminer.  And if I start bfgminer before I start cranking, then it doesn't detect the block erupter.  Help!!!

Do I understand this right?  You're collecting 50 shares at .8 BTC each, which at a BTC price of $400 means $16,000 which is $10,000 over the base cost of a Terraminer IV?  You've sold many shares so I suppose a lot of people think this is a good deal?
