I registered to wirex 2 weeks ago, they gave me a free Virtual Card without asking me to verify myself.
I funded my card, now they blocked it claiming they're protecting me, now my money is blocked.
I feel that site is scam, beware, do not fund money on their cards cause they blocks them after that.
My virtual card was blocked as well few weeks ago, fortunately i did not have any balance on card or had any bitcoin there. i have stopped using them, since they require ID proofs/don't serve the country i live in. did you contact support? what did they say? i hope you get your money back (without having to go through ID verification
).
It is not a problem to verify myself, in fact I sent them my documents when I noticed it was required, the problem is that I'm afraid they're scam cause it doesn't make any sense to provide a card that requires verification and then block it because you haven't verified your identity. This can only be explained with the fact they're trying to steal customers money.
Yes, I contacted the support and I got a template email back: "We pause your account to first protect your assets, your money and protect your account".
