1  Economy / Exchanges / Re: WEX.nz on: November 04, 2018, 03:08:33 PM
Luckily I withdrew most of my assets a year or so ago but I still have 10 LTC there. Should I assume they're lost forever?
2  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Alternative to btc-e on: July 29, 2017, 02:20:52 PM
I lost around $2000 on BTC-e. Now I'm using Bittrex. But I wanted to ask. Is there a list somewhere of the exchanges that are legal and have all the proper licenses in place? Is Bittrex one of those? I don't want to be caught in this type of shit again.

You lost the amount? You mean that you had fiat cash in the exchange and you could not withdraw it before the site was closed down? I don't know if you need to worry about it. The official BTC-e twitter handle claimed yesterday that they will be back within the next 10 days. I don't know it is going to happen or not, but the chances are that your fiat/coins are going to be safe.

I had some in coins and some in cash. I hope it will come back but it seems unlikely now that it has been seized by the US authorities. Maybe they will sort a way to give back the funds to legitimate users hopefully.
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 29, 2017, 12:01:28 PM
Can't foreign investors sue the Justice Department in the US if they don't get their money back? Afterall they're taking money from people outside the US following laws that are not their laws. This is basically like stealing since most people in BTC-e were not doing anything wrong basically.

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best time to buy altcoins? on: July 28, 2017, 11:05:04 AM
My suggestion if you want to buy altcoin now that everything is falling is to look for those coins with bigger volume and bigger negative change. Those are probably the ones that are going to grow the most and faster after everything recovers.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best time to buy altcoins? on: July 28, 2017, 11:02:14 AM
Hi guys. I'm looking to invest a couple of thousand dollars in cryptocurrency. I'm not a trader and would like to invest in currently undervalued alcoins with the best potential for the long term growth. Have been reading up extensively and following the markets but still not sure if now is the best time to enter.

Thus requesting an insight from you: invest now or wait and see what the August brings? And what are the possible scenarios for altcoins it can bring?
I suggest that you dont buy know, since many altcoins are in the green but if you really want to buy now, there are some altcoins that I think is currently oundervalued today. One of which is well known by the community and has a token creation feature like ethereum. You can also wait for after august 1 because there will be a fork on bitcoin and it is seen in the past few weeks that if bitcoin dumps, many altcoin dumps so dont buy because there is a probability of huge dump in bitcoin.

Many altcoins are in green? Where? I see only red everywhere
7  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BTC-e hacked ?? on: July 27, 2017, 03:08:46 PM
you guys are traders and has no idea what real business is like. bigger amounts. bigger people.

shutting down btc-e right now would be fucking up alex, and i doubt they will do that.

no one ever proved whos the owner of btc-e, and when it goes up again, people will start to doubt.

probably some fucking snitch cunt who told the feds alot shit about the mtgox transfers. if he wasnt under protection right now he would probably have been shot already

this is all rumors and the states has alot evidence that btc-e has been washing the mtgox money, but who is responsible? the owner of the site. but who is that?

if btc-e doesnt go up again, it is probably him.

if hes friends takes it online again, and the trade start again, can it be someone else? hes friends are trying to figure out what to do right now, at least fight for a hope to get their friend back. these guys have probably been friends for many, many years. and i doubt they will just  leave him and take all the shit. at least they are russians.

i have lost a big amount myself. but i dont actually care. all i care for right now, is him. i feel bad for him. maybe hes not even the owner. hes family must be so depressed right now.

to whoever is fighting for him out there, i wish you all the best, and good luck.

If he's the one who did the MtGox thing then I have no sympathy for him. He destroyed a lot of people and almost destroyed crypto as a whole and he should pay his time. If he's innocent then more power to him.

What can we do in the future for something like this will not happen again.
I really think, we all think about it.

They are certainly here some people who are qualified to investigate. Is it possible to create a team for that ?
you know a person who can tell uss if a website has a very good security or not etc

Research better the ICOs you donate to maybe? I've seen some ICOs that put up videos with the developers holding a sign with the donation addresses. A video can't be hacked so I guess it is a start.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: COINDASH - Future of trading - Token Sale 17th July 2017 on: July 17, 2017, 03:45:54 PM

Look at this Fools.

Interesting some people are still sending Ethers to the fake address

3 times the same amount? Looks suspicious. Maybe the hacker is sending himself ETHs so he gets refunds from the ICO lol

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: July 04, 2017, 08:19:41 AM
Oh the first round they were really expensive on this round cheap. It's only natural that the ICO and exchanges price become more and more similar once people get a hang of what's happening. But it seems the price goes up on the exchange during the window and moves near the last 10 hours to match the ICO price.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: July 02, 2017, 07:37:17 PM
I don't get it. How can the price of EOS in the ICO be $0.4379 while the price on Kraken is $2.2? Is this correct?

That window isn't finished yet. The price will continue to rise throughout the day

So I don't get it. What is the difference of getting it through the ICO or the exchange? Is there any?

15  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 26, 2014, 04:35:24 PM
I've seen a lot of libertarians whining about MtGox but isn't no regulations what libertarians fight for??

Anyways, everyone of us knew what we were getting into. No use whining now. Thankfully I didn't have any money on MtGox.
16  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 10, 2013, 05:38:43 AM
I have to admit that I'm also waiting for a price to cash out but the beauty of it is that by the time that price range arrives bitcoin is going to be consolidated enough for me to not have to cash out. I imagine many people will be in that same situation.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2013, 03:16:48 AM
Pannicked. Sold BTC and bought LTC... Sigh... now I'll wait until LTC is 0.1 BTC to rebuy. Long way to go...
18  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analysis never ends on: December 05, 2013, 06:47:30 PM

Do you normally communicate with people you don't know like that? What is your point? Huh? What is your point?

If you don't find anything of interest simply ignore it, you don't need to make an ass out of yourself by communicating with me by saying "what is your point".

Jog on.

Wow you took it way too personal.  I honestly wanted to know what you meant by that chart.  I am a newbie to charts.

china paints a different picture  Wink

Are both linear or log scales? or different from each other?
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: China just made Bitcoin pretty useless within China on: December 05, 2013, 06:19:25 PM
Any news on Baidu? Will this make Baidu drop Bitcoin support or is it irrelevant?
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Surviving the China Ban on: December 05, 2013, 05:13:48 PM
Well prohibiting bitcoin as a currency is kind of big.

But is it? Bitcoin is not a currency anywhere in the world and now we know for certain it isn't a currency in China. Nothing really changed here. Nobody expected China to abandon yuan (this year).

But isn't one of its main goals to become a currency that you can exchange for real goods and services? Isn't China basically relegating it into just a speculative game? Just to make it clear I'm still bullish but I'm not an expert on trading, economy or anything like that so I'm raising questions to learn more than anything... we need information to make better decisions Smiley
