1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XCM - moonshot altcoin on: July 29, 2020, 11:07:47 PM
I think XCM is too slow to develop, I know this project from the beginning they held an ICO in 2018 if I'm not mistaken and the platform was launched a year after, but until now I see that there are still a few coins traded on Coinmetro

I have literally spent the last year or so on bitcointalk warning anons to sign up and throw at least $300 at this thing, back when XCM price was below 2 cents
Several other anons have put the word out about this exchange too
If Coinmetro does become a big deal, then there are definitely going to be regret threads with angry wojaks from people who either ignored or fudded the project
Someone could have flipped that measly $300 into $30k or more just by holding for a few years. Not exactly make-it money, but you could still do a lot of shit with that
Kevin is legit as fuck. Crypto is full of scammers, yet he has proven time and time again that he knows his shit and he's one of the good ones that actually believes in his project
How many crypto CEOs are doing weekly AMAs and shitposting in the telegram along with their users? How many CEOs allow trolls and fudders to talk shit in the telegram, and actually respond to the concerns/issues that the fudders bring up in a reasonable and intelligent way instead of just banning them?
I believe in Coinmetro mainly because I believe in Kevin. Also because the exchange has been progressing really nicely

Crypto Market News Highlights:
1) US Crypto Crackdown: Telegram Token Sale Rejected by SEC
2) Coinbase Gets E-Money License In Ireland, Expanding European Foothold
3) Binance Coin ETP goes live on SIX Swiss stock exchange
4) Binance Burns Over 2 Million BNB: Showing Tremendous Accumulated Revenue of $1 Billion
5) The 18 Millionth Bitcoin To Be Mined today, Only 3 Million Left

Live YouTube Questions
  • How long do CoinMetro’s funds still last?
  • Any updates regarding the debit card/new currencies?
IBANs in the UK are done, debit card integration is done. They’re waiting on their main underriding bank to finalize the tech integration on their side. No time frame on that right now, the bank doesn’t want to give a time frame.
  • How much has PARSIQ collected so far in their IEO sales?
    We’re sitting around 80-95K Euro.
  • Why did you increase the XCM order limits?
  • Any updates on LHV’s self-assessment guidelines?
  • Will we notice big changes in terms of CoinMetro updates/development after funding in comparison to now?
Certain pieces within the organization – marketing, support, compliance – will be beefed up. We will more than likely pivot to focus on some other services that we haven’t focused on yet. Development will need to be built out a bit as well.
  • How is progress in Montenegro?
CoinMetro’s application was submitted last week. We were told that it would take roughly 2 weeks to get the application processed. Still within that time frame.
  • When do you think funding will be confirmed?
  • Do you have enough funds for November or will you sell some XCM to get through the month?
  • What about TraM/new website/other features. They seem to get pushed back?
  • When do you think we can finally get this snowball rolling?
  • Can you give us more information on the passive income algorithms?
TraM offers passive income, and is where an algorithm trades for you. If the algorithm makes money, you make money. ETCF is also a passive income feature, you’re just picking a basket based on industry/risk profile, and it will be managed for you. Margin posting is also passive income, basically staking your collateral and making money on a daily basis.

We’re working on something that links all those things together. Automatic buy-ins on a weekly/monthly basis for a certain amount. This amount will be distributed the way you want – a percentage towards margin posting, a percentage towards TraM, with an easy way to track it and set goals.

We’re building a lot around the passive income model.

Reddit Questions
  • Does CoinMetro want to be an online e-wallet like PayPal?
  • Have you ever disclosed how much of CoinMetro’s XCM holdings were sold through normal trading on CoinMetro?
  • Why did you change your profile picture on Telegram?
  • Tell us more about the funding. Brazilians, what other groups are there?
  • Who is the potential CSD crypto partner besides Chainlink? How are the talks with Chainlink?
It’s not necessarily a partnership. We’re trying to see if Chainlink and their oracle system will work for two specific pieces of the CSD infrastructure. Especially in phase one. As we start to move and get more decentralized, it may become less of an issue, but for phase one and possibly phase two it seems like it makes sense.

“This Week in Crypto” Summary for October 11, 2019

Check out their weekly “This Week in Crypto” summary in their blog post or watch the full video here.

Crypto Market News Highlights:
1) Algo Capital Loses Crypto Funds After CTO’s Phone Is Hacked
2) Class action suit against Tether & Bitfinex (market manipulation)
3) US SEC Rejects Bitwise Bitcoin ETF Proposal
4) IRS Releases Guidance on Crypto Airdrops and Hard Forks
5) Binance reveals Alipay as a fiat on ramp, Alipay denies and will block all bitcoin transactions

Live YouTube Questions
  • Any further clarity on USA residents being part of the Airdrop Family? Or being able to purchase PARSIQ during the sale?
  • How is the CSD and Montenegro sandbox progressing?
We’re now 6 weeks into the development of the CSD, and we will start applying within the next two months, so that we hopefully have an approved application ready to go into the sandbox with the CSD as well in the next 3 months.
  • You mentioned that once in the sandbox, CoinMetro can list securities. Didn’t you need the CSD for this?
We need to wait for the CSD to show a complete capital market infrastructure, but because it’s a sandbox, we will perform basic settlement at CoinMetro until the CSD is available.
  • What’s next in terms of development releases?
  • Are we getting market makers this month?
We’re simply waiting for ink on paper. We will then go ahead and push with this initial market maker. We’re already talking with 1-2 other as well.
  • Feedback on debit cards?
  • What’s new regarding the 33 currencies? (USD?)
  • What happened with the USD stablecoin?
  • Any word on incentives for holding XCM?
Lots of things are coming. The MAP project is specifically about how you can track all the different possible ways that you can use XCM and its utility, and you can actually see what you are doing and what everybody else is doing, and see where XCM sits inside our own ecosystem. If it’s liquid or not, how that affects supply, etc.

Reddit Questions
  • I remember in the old roadmap, there was something about a merger of CoinMetro and FXPig volumes/products. Still on the horizon?
  • Have you decided who will be the next IEO?
  • How’s funding?
Talking with three groups now, including the Brazilians. Still back and forth with the Brazilians. Moving quite fast with the other two groups, expecting some really good news in a very small window of time.
  • Tokenized securities will go through CoinMetro Direct, is LHV involved?
  • CoinMetro has a great support team, possibly best support in crypto. Have you got new staff trained up ready for scaling up?

“This Week in Crypto” Summary for October 4, 2019

Crypto Market News Highlights:
1) Pompliano: The U.S. Must Tokenize the Dollar to Remain Competitive
2) Blockchain Transparency Institute: 64% of Tether is used for fake trading
3) Ripple acquires Icelandic crypto exchange (Algrim) to expand presence in Europe
4) Sia Network’s Creator, Nebulous, Settles With SEC For $225k; Like Block. One’s EOS, No Fault Admitted
5) Institutional Investors are Manipulating the Price of Bitcoin: Arcane Research Report

Live YouTube Questions
  • When is funding expected?
  • Are you happy with the PARSIQ IEO? Will there be more marketing?
  • How is the CSD development going?
It’s going well. We’re in the third week of the first four months development cycle to get the MVP into the sandbox. The project lead in Latvia is on-point with his organization. We are very, very impressed with how they put everything together and how tight their sprints are.
  • How is the progress in Montenegro?
Montenegro is going great. Kevin is going back there in November for a workshop with the central bank to do a DVP, that’s Delivery versus Payment, basically settlement with the central bank using stablecoins.
  • Any big news from your Korean trip?
Lots of good talks for business development. Kevin and Sergey from Chainlink had an hour long conversation, mostly wrapped around the CSD. We’re going to establish a relationship there to see how we can use the Chainlink oracles in the CSD to take fungible tokens, but add non-fungible values to them via oracles pulling off-chain data.
Kevin talked to Algorand about working with the CSD. Possibly getting some money out of their foundation. Few other things happened, Kevin made a few contacts for possible listings, fundraising opportunities, and IEOs as well.
  • How long until CoinMetro is able to list securities in the sandbox?
We should apply next week, not sure how long it will take to get approved – likely quite fast. Hopefully before the end of the month.
  • Has CoinMetro benefitted from lots of sign ups from this IEO?
  • How do you think CoinMetro will look like at the end of the year? Will everything go according to your plan?
  • Can you share anything noteworthy about the market maker “testing a bot” earlier this week?
  • Are you still focused on the big retail market or more on the big volume traders?
  • What is the benefit of using Chainlink for the CSD?
The oracles will allow us to pull in off-chain data and then peg that to an on-chain asset. Meaning that we may be able to take a fungible token and add non-fungible values to them. Meaning that KYC can be applied to that token and it and travel in the block.
  • What can we expect by the end of the month?
Expecting the website to be completed. TraM should be released. We may start to see some additional IBANs and currencies rolling in, that really depends on our partner.
We’ll probably see the new platforms come out, such as the Express platform. Our Pro platform will have Margin and Trade combined in it.
  • Are you still hanging on to your vision of turning CoinMetro into a worldwide FinTech that will change the financial market for the better?

“This Week in Crypto” Summary for September 6, 2019

Kevin talking about licensing, our new website, TRAM, the price of XCM, and many other things.

Crypto Market News Highlights:
1.) US Congress Urged to Regulate Crypto Sector Under Bank Secrecy Act
2.) Binance Acquires Singapore-Based Crypto Spot and Derivatives Exchange
4.)  Ripple Continues Mass-dumping as Fresh 500 million XRP Leaves Escrow Wallet
8.) Digibyte (DGB) Trading to Kick-start on Bitrue Exchange by 12 September
10.) IOTA Partners with Jaguar Land Rover for Tracing the car energy with Distributed Ledger Technology

Live YouTube Questions
  • When funding?
  • When burn the correct XCM total amount?
  • Any news on TRAM?
Internally, the date is the 15th of September. We have brought on an external QA team, on top of our internal QA team. The date this is supposed to end is the 15th. Internally!
  • When fix the utility for XCM?
Happening around the same time as the TRAM release.
  • When new website?
  • Any update on Montenegro and the CSD?
We got an official letter yesterday, from the president of the CMA. Professional reference to Kevin and the other co-founder of the CSD and CoinMetro, saying they are more than happy and eager to receive our application into the sandbox.
  • When can I buy a CoinMetro T-shirt?
  • Why is CoinMarketCap’s circulating supply for XCM only 8 million?
  • Any comments on the price right now?
We’re talking about a token that is available on one platform, that has yet to do (substantial) marketing, and has seen sell pressure on one day of over 1% of the circulating supply, and was able to maintain a value of less than 20% of that day’s high. That’s quite extraordinary.
  • Any updates on the debit cards?
  • Market makers still due to come online on the 15th?
  • If CoinMetro runs into any critical money issues, would you consider selling large chunks of XCM from the liquidity pool outside the book?
  • Any sneak peak of the next proposed IEO?
  • When tokenized debt on CoinMetro?
One of the products we’re looking to offer in the sandbox. We wouldn’t want to tokenize individual debt, that’s a slippery slope.
  • Does the LOI with the Brazilians include the full funding or just part of it? Will you get all funds in one swoop?
  • Until when do the current funds last?
  • What kind of timeframe before the CSD will be a working product?
  • How big is the potential market for the CSD?
Well, you have to total up every single regulated market in the world. So, huge. Bond market in the US is a 100 trillion. Generally, we’re talking about 100s of trillions in terms of possibilities.
  • Any update on US residents that participated in the ICO being able to be in the airdrop family?

i miss new traiding pairs. and new assets on the coinmetro exchange. 9 crypto currencies are far too little . when will EOS,IOTA and other Top 50 Coins be added?

Next planned pairs were: ENJ, BAT, and ELF. But, generally there is a focus on cryptos without a fiat pairs yet.

However, so far the process was that CoinMetro picks three new pairs, sends the info to the bank, the bank's compliance office checks them and agrees, and CoinMetro can list them. Obviously that process took too much time. Hence, right now LHV is setting up a framework that allows to list CoinMetro any coin they want without that process, which should be much more quickly and feasible. Word is that this might be set end of week or next week. Fingers crossed.

here is another CoinMetro development update in form of Kevin's weekly AMA. He was, again, in Montenegro to work on the MTF project in form of a fully regulated CSD sandbox.
