1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: would you live in a country that use bitcoin as official currency? on: January 14, 2018, 08:53:59 AM
Right now it's impossible with the current fees, imagine you want to buy some stuff in the grocery for 5$ and have to pay 20$ fee.
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding will be a risk or not?? on: January 14, 2018, 08:35:07 AM
of course this is risky, like any other investment... but I think bitcoin is a very good investment if you look on the profit/risk ratio.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: January 14, 2018, 08:28:44 AM
in 100 years? who knows how the world is goana look in 20 years, how can I say what goana happen in 100 years? I do think bitcoin will survive for a long time though, and will continue to grow dramatically in the upcoming years.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin "Mainstream" yet? The poll. on: January 14, 2018, 08:19:11 AM
That really depends on how you define mainstream. In crypto world of course bitcoin is mainstream, among investors in general it also becoming more and more mainstream as many new investors enter this market every day. However, if you consider non investors then bitcoin is probably just something people hear in the news from time to time, not mainstream for sure as there isn't really anything to do with it right now besides investing.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why Ethereum so slow on: January 13, 2018, 07:00:13 PM
There was a huge spike in the fees in the last 10 days, but also a huge drop in the last couple of days. I think the fees will get back to normal soon, but not the the level they were before as the network becomes more and more busy. I think that the upcoming upgrade with the POS will solve those problems though.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta Token sale, will you buy it? on: January 13, 2018, 06:24:51 PM
Buy it. Its always a good idea to buy a token from a well known exchange. It just can get more famous. So if you invest you will make money with it, because so many people are using etherdelta.

Not sure it's a very good idea. They are having many security issues lately and that reduced their not so high trading volume to even lower. I don't know can't see this token skyrocketing.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: RaiBlocks (XRB) is going to be a top 10 coin on: January 13, 2018, 06:18:47 PM
So who actually uses XRB in real life? Where can you pay with it?

I've only made transfers between wallet and exchange sites, but with that little experience you realize the huge potential this project has. It's the only time I've experienced almost instant transaction with zero fees. Getting into Binance should give it another push, since Bitgrail is relatively small (good experience so far with it, I don't know why there are people complaining about this exchange site. Maybe a little buggy, but nothing terrible), and I hate Mercatox. Until it gets to Binance, Kucoin is the way to go. Being on Binance and Kucoin should make its trading volume rise a lot. If I had funds and wanted to invest on this project, I would do it now.

Sure, XRB is great. Its technology also. But where does that get it if no one uses it? At the end everybody might hold XRB and then realize that no one uses it for anything. It's missing real life adoption.

That's kinda an egg and chicken case. If the coin doesn't have large volume, nobody will bother to accept it as a payment, or create applications that use it. but, in order to increase it's popularity and volume, there needs to be partnerships with other companies to make this token usable. so, it takes time, but eventually if the technology is good, it will grow, and you will find ways to use it, but if you wait for it to happen, the price of the token might be very high, and you'll lose the potential profit you could have made if you buy it now.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchanges? What exchanges do you use? on: January 13, 2018, 06:09:55 PM
right now I use binance and cryptopia. The fees are reasonable in my opinion, but it's annoying that there are some coins that you can't find there. I don't like to use too many exchanges due to the fees so hopefully they add the coins I want to buy.
