2  Other / Beginners & Help / Investing with crypto and other coins in the UK - The future of crypto? on: March 03, 2018, 01:52:00 PM
Hi there,

I'm familiar with crypto however would like to ask a couple of questions. I have XRP, IOTA and a little ETH

I'm going to buy 1 eth at £570 and just sit on it for a 3-5 years, however with our bank of England casting fear into UK talking about regulation etc, makes me think. Is this because banks can't get their dirty paws on your money? HSBC Drug cartel??!

Obviously, to make money you need a fair few coins, but I don't want to invest a lot of money into crypto even though I do have a fair amount in savings. But then I'm not going to be a millionaire by the end of the year by only buying small, but am going to diversify coin purchases. Only money I'm prepared to lose etc.

With BTC too high at the moment, should I buy say a £1000 and sit on that? ETH and say £100 each month?

Also, what are up and coming coins worth investing?

Many thanks
Jay

Thanks very much, I'm predicting that BTC/ETH and LTC will keep going down then I'll pounce on it.

Morning,
With banks and countries clamping down on crypto, some in the UK even blocking purchases of crypto, do you think that this could be the beginning of the end?

I assume BTC is the daddy and all others circulate around this?

Just a thought? What's your's?

I'm going to buy BTC and ETH in the next few weeks as they are just falling....

Thanks guys for this. I got the nano s but transferring coins to the nano from chrome addons look terrible and some people have lost money. I'm waiting for btc to come down and then going to purchase a few thousand, I don't want them going missing because of some dodgy chrome extension.

Hi there again.
I believe that BTC is coming down to $9k, does anyone support this?

Also, just to clarify, if I buy XXX crypto and store offline, and the market goes up, then when I sell, I sell at market value not what I bought at? So make a profit.

Thanks in advance

Thank you.
I've heard bad things about coinbase. I use localbitcoins.
I go from BTC to ETH to the crypto's I want to purchase?

I was informed to only trade in BTC and not local currencies due to losses etc. So BTC to Huh coin, not GBP to XRP etc.

Thanks. Just wanted to clear up that if I buy £1000 btc and store offline and leave for a few years, assuming the price goes up I can sell my btc at the going rate?
I have about 8 to invest in.

Thanks guys, appreciate it.
Got a nano s wallet so ready to go, I'm in the UK so it's just a case of finding the best place to buy. Looking to buy tokens too like IOTA and a few others.

Hi there, wishing to invest in the crypto markets however wanted to ask that if  I'm long term investing in say Ripple, do I just buy it and stick it in my wallet or do I put it on the market and let it sit there? If it's on the market there's stop losses and take profits like FX trading?
Thanks
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Wallets - Newer coins and where to keep them on: January 04, 2018, 09:19:35 PM
Hi,
New to crypto, looking at various different coins like TRON and IOTA.
With regards to wallets, do I get a cold wallet (Nano S) and store what I can on there and keep the rest where? Online? Little risky no?

Any advice will be appreciated
Jay
