1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoin for CPU mining on: January 05, 2018, 12:53:23 PM
While not highly encouraged, I understand why someone would do this. From what I can gather Cryptonote based coins tend to be easier for CPU's to mine. You're looking at things like ETN, XMR, AEON, BCN, etc. Alternatively you could try Hodlcoin, just download the core wallet and activate mining. If you can work it out, coins using the blake2s algorithm also have minimal to no difference in mining with a CPU versus a CPU per their website. Hope that helps until you are able get you a proper GPU, we all start somewhere.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Need Some Help Setting Up Electroneum (ETN) Pool on: January 04, 2018, 11:55:14 PM
Hi, I'm new to this forum, but am told this is a great place for help.

I'm fortunate enough to have the ability to host a private ETN pool, but am having a horrible time getting it setup. I've been following this guide: http://betbybitcoin.com/setup-electroneumetn-mining-pool/ and I'm not sure if something is just outdated or what. I know part of this issue is that I'm rather new to the Linux environment, which tends to me much more heavily influences by cli use than gui interfaces. Does anyone have or is willing to perhaps fill in what this guide lacks? In some ways it's really good, but in others it seriously lacks. The Github page for ETN is much more cryptic for a new person to understand. Any help you all can offer would be greatly appreciated.
