1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinTracking and eToro on: January 05, 2018, 03:54:15 AM
Hi - thanks for a great app

Would be great to support eToro transactions.

Would you be able to help with what I do when I do a Sell transaction on eToro to manually enter it.  When you do this then it is done as a CFD even if you have money in your account.

Let's say for example that you invested $100 in a sell order on DASH and the price of dash was 804.69 so you are buying 0.125 DASH for $219.84 and you want it to go down so that you make a profit but instead of going down it goes up to 908.28 and you make a loss of $28.30.  How would you record this on cointracking?

Secondly can you check I am doing this right as the amount calculated when you expand out doesn't appear to be right.  I'm guessing not as my total value of coins is totally wrong.

The way it is recorded on etoro is ACTION e.g. buy dash, sell dash, widthdraw then how much invested (in dollars) then units then open price open time close and close price.  I can then click on it and get more info which will also tell me the profit or loss on the trade.

So if I'm putting a manual purchase I will do
date as the date that the trade was opened
Amount from the units column e.g. .95 and then DASh as the Currency
Then if I bought .95 dash and it cost $668.80 dollars then I would put in Amount in the sell field as 668.80 and Currency as USD
With eToro you are charged via a variable spread rather than a trading fee so not sure how you would record that as there is no record of the spread I can see in my history?
If I then check the edit asset value it shows a purchase value of USD as 674.38763630 (674.39 USD @ 709.88172242 USD per DASH) whereas the actual price was $737.20 per Dash but I can't see what I would do to change that

If I multiply .95 x 737.20 (open price) I get $700.34 but purchaes price was $668.80 so should I record ($700.34 - $668.80) as my fee i.e. $31.54?

Finally need to know what to do when the trade is closed out

If I close out DASH at a rate of 827.87 then what I thought to do was
Goto the second page and add the invested amount to the P/L $85.84 to get a total of $754.64

I then put in $754.64 as buy amount with currency USD
What would I then put in Sell amount - is it still 0.95 units of DASH?
If I multiple 0.95 x the rate of 827.87 then I get $786.4765 so then would I put the difference between that and the final amount as the fee ($786.4765 - $754.64) - $31.8365 and USD?

If I do this the sale value in USD shows as 811.32591251 with 811.33 USD @ 854.02727633 USD per dash but the actual sale price was at a rate of 827.87 and again I can't see how you can change?

I'll also email this to support as may be too long to answer here but I thought if answered here might help other people in etotoro or on a platform that supports CFD's/sell orders

Thanks in Advance

Paul
