No problem with my home laptop, it connects just after starting. I must check my work laptop.

Ok. Right clicking on one or several addresses on the receive tabs does the trick. Thank you for this improvement.

But what about the connecting issue?

I think the upgrade was correct.

First, I closed the old electrum application then I executed from a terminal:

sudo pip install http://download.electrum.org/Electrum-1.9.5.tar.gz#md5=e8d66b08f7d1d745e1de04a090d199c2

Now when I open electrum I can read the versión 1.9.5 in the title bar but the new control functions don't appear.

I've just upgraded Electrum 1.9.5 on Ubuntu 13.10, and apparently nothing changes, I cannot see the new coin control "send from" and the network doesn't connect even if if uncheck autoconnect and select a server manually. I have tried to reload the wallet but nothing changes.

Maybe the linux version was not upgraded??

Anyone with this issue?

7  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: anonymizing addresses on: November 15, 2013, 12:37:11 PM
I think they are "linked" trought the seed or maybe I must say they were "generated" by the same seed.

Anybody that doesn't know the seed cannot figure out that these addresses were generated by the same seed.

Don't believe me much, but I think so. Maybe someone can correct me.

@btcven: You're right when you have said that "You can't send 1 BTC + 0.0001 as fee as you only have 1 BTC in the wallet". I made a mistake in my formulation. Let me rephrase, it should be: I made a transaction of 0.9999 BTC + 0.0001 BTC as fee to "receive address" C, and the result was 0.9998 BTC in "receive address" B and 0.0001 BTC in "change address" C. Why is there 0.0001 BTC in the new "change address" C? What should I do now? Freezing "receive address" C and executing a transaction of 0.0001 BTC to "receive address" C?
9  Bitcoin / Electrum / What are the change addresses for? on: November 14, 2013, 10:20:30 PM
I'm quite new to Electrum, and I don't understand the behavior in the last transaction.

Say I have 1 btc in the 'change address' A of Electrum, all other addresses are empty. Then I have made a transaction of 1 btc to 'receive address' B with a fee of 0.0001 btc. After that electrum shows 0.9998 btc in 'receive address' B and 0.0001 btc in 'change address' C.

I should mention that I have "use change addresses" enabled in the gui client.

What happened??? I know that 0.0001 btc was spent as a fee, but why is another 0.0001 btc transferred to another change address?

Can anyone explain it?

Since I am a newbie in this forum I post my question here.

I think you unfortunaly lost the 1.9... btc.

Which software do you have used to do the transaction?

Maybe you can check the log of transactions there.
