Overall 2017 was indeed a breakout year. IMO, 2018 will see yet more investments into crypto, from regular folks as well as institutions and experienced investors. Regulations will offset some of that growth though. I think we will still see many coins making x10+ growth.

2017 was the year when cryptocurrencies announced to the world, "We're here!" 2018 is going to be the year when cryptocurrencies declare, "We're here to stay!".
