1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain's Released Antminer S9, World's First 16nm Miner Ready to Order on: May 01, 2017, 10:40:06 PM

So ridiculous--currently, sale price of S9 says "1089 USD ( 0.858 BTC )".  That is an exchange rate of $1269.  Even okcoin.com says, "Last $1,377.26 High $1,380.00 Low $1,338.24".  Conservative exchanges rates elsewhere (i.e. COINBASE.COM) show $1460.
 Therefore, BITMAIN Rate = Rate Elsewhere + $100 + $100 => BITMAIN is charging $200 more per miner or almost 20% premium!!

On this topic--Has anyone paid BITMAIN via Wire Transfer?

That would be one way to get around this "$200 BTC Premium" they are charging...

Thanks in advance for the help.

How come the BTC Rate on the bitmain site is constantly $100 below market?   are they keying of BTC-e?

"high": "1322.1",
"last": "1233.19",

3  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.419 BTC for 180GH/s on: May 29, 2014, 03:07:23 AM
Hey guys.  I was in the middle of ordering 4x S1s when I realized I had to fund my btc wallet a little.  When I went back, my coupons had expired.  So....I'm pan handling for coupons!  Any coupons welcome for S1s, as all 11 that I had remaining expired today.  I intend to use them and not resell them.  Thank you in advance for your generosity.

By the way, I have something like 20 S2 coupons that expire in the next 1 week if anyone is look for those let me know.

Cheers.

Hey guys.  For the recent Ant I received, I noticed something particular—when I attempt to attach a 2nd fan to the front, the factory installed fan sounds like it spins up to max RPM, and the 2nd fan does not power up.   Huh  I confirmed it is not the fan I’m trying to add, as I can put it on other Ants, and it works just fine.  Furthermore, when I take a known good fan from another Ant and try to use it on the new one, I get the same behavior of factory fan spinning up to full speed and known good fan does not power up.  The fans I use have an LED built-in, so I can tell that the fan appears to not even be getting power.

Anyone else seen this behavior?  If so, is there a fix to be found in the web management interface or otherwise?  I have posed the question to Bitmain as well, so I'll keep you all posted on what I hear back from them.

Thanks in advance.

Hey all.  I placed an order on the Bitmain website on 1/24 about 9am Pacific time here in the USA.  I paid for my purchase promptly, and my order status showed the payment confirmed within 45 minutes of the purchase.  As I write this, order status still shows unshipped.

My understanding was that I had placed the order in time that it should be shipped before Chinese New Year.  Huh  Keeping fingers crossed that's the case.  I'll post back if my status changes.

Curious if anyone else is in this same situation?

Thanks

Hi, All.  First of all, thanks to the forum members--great information here, and it seems that everyone is generally supportive of others.

I'm not exactly new, b/c I registered several weeks ago.  Was waiting for some confirmation email to come in.  Since it never came, and I want to post something, I started reading and found out about the newbie requirements.  I guess it pays to read!  I've been all over this board reading, etc. over the past few weeks, so hopefully all I have to do is post this here message with several sentences and I'll be good to go!

Looking forward to sharing info with you all.  By the way, I've been doing BTC and LTC mining for about 9 months.
