Hello box0214,

I am glad you like it. Thanks for sharing the link.
I am the author of this plugin and like you, I found it tedious to SEE how well assets perform in term of dividends.

I have plenty of improvements in the pipe for this plugin so stay tuned Smiley

Great great piece of software. I am sure you already have that on the list but in doubt I mention it.

I think that programmable audio alerts would be awesome. Based on a system similar to the rules for instance. That would allow getting a heads up when something happens.

Again, congrats and thnks for your work.

There is an 'assertion failed' that would be nice to have fixed.
I see it every night and unfortunately that stops the mining process (I guess) and the blockchain is no longer up to date.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Primecoin XPM] [Giveaway] Share Something about Primecoin ~ Get A XPM Tip!!! on: November 27, 2013, 06:55:25 PM
A tip that may help cryptowallet beginners Smiley

Beside wallets like Armory, all the wallets such as primecoin-qt MUST be backup after creating a new address.
Only then, the new address is added to the backup.

If you want to avoid making backups all the time, you can generate a few addresses in advance and then backup once for ever a while.

Of course you could then hit that NEW ADDRESS button several times but there is a more convenient way.

  • Go to the Help Menu and Hit Debug Window.
  • Click on the Console tab
  • Enter the command getnewaddress blabla where blabla is whatever you want (you can change that later anyway).
  • Press the upper arrow to bring back the last command and press Enter again
  • Keep going until you made enough addresses to get started.

I do not recommend making hundreds of addresses just for fun. 10 should be good as a start!

And here is my address AMxqKmzVUEETnistLgadZqAAaxCFGCxt7d
I am currently trying to mine but no luck so a little tip would allow me to play a bit Smiley

Btw, you can also mine primecoin with no cpu, it helps falling asleep... 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17,.... RRRRrrrrrrr..... Smiley

I just posted in the bitvisitor historical thread.
I do see as well that bitvisitor is not paying at the moment.
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BitVisitor not paying? on: November 25, 2013, 06:37:49 PM
I am also waiting for payments and I see nothing for the last few days.

I would not recommend this site at the moment, they may have difficulties to pay.
Moreover, you can see in the stats the current bids and I donīt get why there are bids at 13uBTC and I keep on getting 9.6uBTC without seeing this 13uBTC a single time.

I would also like to see my balance. I currently have the numbers because I keep track but I would rather have it from this site.

If the owner reads this, he may drop a line. I would not mind a delay in the payment but until I know more, no more bitvisitor for me.
14  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do You Get a Bitcoin Address? Where do I go? on: November 10, 2013, 12:26:34 PM
Make sure you backup your wallet after generating/creating a new address.
This is required for most Wallets including Bitcoin-qt.
Some Wallets however such as Armory have a deterministic way to generate addresses.
That means that once you backed up your wallet, you donīt need to re-do it, even if you generated new addresses.

The security may not be the highest but to get started and play, you may want to use a 'light' wallet such as multibit or the bitcoin wallet for android.
Those do NOT check all the transactions from the beginning of time and do not participate the bitoin 'effort' but to discover bitcoin, they make it easier and faster to get started.

Later on, you can always send you bitcoins from one address to another, just keep in mind that small fees will then probably apply.

I found the documentation of Armory wallet *really* useful and very clear.
