I tried making a bat file with the url etc but it just ignores it.
|
|
|
i don't get any options - I've tried pressing S for settings, it just goes blank for a moment then goes back to the list of devices. The only letter that does anything is the q to quit.
Well if anyone knows who the writers are and they are members here could someone point one of them to me so I can discuss how to make a working bat file because I seem to be the unluckiest person ever to bitcoin.
Most of the time the software doesn't even work. It just goes to the bit where it is supposed to ask for the url and doesn't do anything. 9 times out of 10 when it DOES actually ask for the details it fails to connect to the pool.

Hi can someone tell me what to do about mine.
I currently have 4 Bitfury Red Fury usb miners and 1 Bitfury Blue Fury + 9 block erupters.
I am using cgminer 3.8.2 or 3.8.3 (when I can get the program to work - it seems to hate USB hubs and constantly fails at connecting to the bitminter pool)
I keep finding that numerous erupters fail.
Now this is going to become a major problem because at the moment I waiting for another Blue Fury which from the look of it will end up being a Nano Fury while the 2 Nano Furies I ordered from someone else look like they'll be non-existent.
The thing is is that I'm going to be buying a 20 port hub, 20 erupters and 2 Jalapeno units from a friend of mine. He plans on moving up whereas this will be all I ever own.
I would like to get it all working on cgminer otherwise it means re-formatting my bitcoin rig so that I can go back to the silas labs driver. CGminer only seems to work best with the bitfury sticks whereas BFGminer seems best with everything else. I would like to be able to leave it mining and not find that multiple erupters have gone zombie on me.
I've tried making a bat file and I can't get them to work. I don't know what the heck is wrong with CGminer but it just sits there blinking that underscore at me. It won't ask for the url, username or password. If I run a batfile with those typed in it still doesn't do anything.
Starting to get really, really sick of it. There is no proper help and to be honest I feel that I should not have to manually enter things into a bat file when it is for something that should be coded into the program itself.

wow 32 views and no replies.
Eventually got it working again. Had to turn off and unplug the computer for about an hour.

I keep getting 2 of my block erupters going zombie.
Re-started cgminer 3.8.2.and now it just sits there - does nothing at all other than move the flashing cursor from the top of the gui to the bottom - not getting to the url request.
Just downloaded and extracted 3.8.3 and tried that - same thing. Just sitting there.
Can someone tell me what might be the problem and how to fix it.
Or is there a way to change Bitfury usb miners back to the BF1.ini file and to get them working with BFG miner. Windows won't let me change or update the drivers from the winusb ones.
Getting really peed off with the constant damn problems involved with ASIC usb sticks. Other people don't seem to have the issues I have had - thinking of sticking them back on ebay and washing my hands of the whole damned thing.

PLEASE HELP. My bfgminer 3.6.0 is no longer detecting my bf1 redfury asic it was before but now it isn't and when I enter the M+ commands that I think I am supposed to use it isn't detecting it. My computer detects it but the mining software isn't PLEASE HELP this was very expensive.
This is what I get with all of them. I ended up using CG miner which I'm not keen on. The machine will see them but BFG won't detect them and Bitminter probe = timed out.

Can someone please tell me how to make the Red Fury, Blue Fury and Nano Fury sticks work with BFG Miner for Windows 7 Pro 64.
I do have Block Erupters as well (the cheap ones). Never been able to get more than 1 Blue Fury to work and that went from sick to dead within a week so sent it back to seller for RMA.
I really don't like CG Miner. So far the only way I've been able to get them to work was with the help of RW02? member via the newbie page.
Had to use ZADIG to convert them onto the winusb driver, can't seem to change them back to the BF1.ini file now though. Although with the BF1.ini file from the mediafire download + a Virtual COM port download (the one Bitminter beta said to download) + a WCA driver to stop the computer crashing every morning they still weren't being found by BFG miner. It would see the Erupters but that was it. Can't use the Fury sticks at all with Bitminters java miner - they just keep coming up as "timed out".
I'd like to use BFG miner as I can have the Verbose log running and Avast Free doesn't seem to mind BFG whereas it keeps trying to delete CG. CG also has problems logging in sometimes for me where it keeps failing to log in.
Running the Erupters on 2 hubs, 8 on one, 1 on the other - ordered 6A transformers to replace the 4A ones that were supplied with the hubs so when they come I'll have a hub free to see if they'll work on there. Also need to install a 4 port pci-e x1 usb 3 card so that I can move the hubs from usb 2 to usb 3.
The pencil trick has helped a fair bit but getting a lot of faults listed - sometimes a lot more than accepted work. Worst offender is 1 of the Red Furys that has done about 100k accepted to about 34k HW.

I would like to know whom it is who makes these Red Fury and Blue Fury USB miners.
So far my experience of them has been absolutely rubbish.
So far I've had 3 Blue Fury usb sticks, 1 was DoA, the other died inside a few days. Had 1 replacement so far, waiting for an RMA for the other..
The one I do have does a measly 1.981 Ghps through CG Miner. I thought the Blue Fury was supposed to do 2.2 to 2.7 Ghps?
So far also had 3 Red Fury sticks.. 2 working , 1 @ 2.15 Ghps and the other 1.98 to 2 Ghps when they are supposed to be 2.4 to 2.6 Ghps.
The third one arrived today and is DOA.
Getting really annoyed with the poor quality of these miners considering they cost over £100 a piece.
Is there some reason why they do not get their advertised speed?
And would also like to know why, even after installing/extracting and using the BF1.ini file, the Virtual COM port driver and a WCA driver etc BFGMiner still can't find them on my computer and so I've had to use zadig to overwrite the driver to the winusb one and mine with CG Miner, which I have to restart several times whenever I need to restart because it won't/can't get onto the pool I'm with (Bitminter)
I'm starting to think there is something dodgy going on when everything is so cloak and dagger - like who makes these things.
I've tried all of the miners on 3 different computers. The old Core 2 Duo one I'm using as the mining rig, my old 1366 rig which I gave my dad and my new 1155 gaming rig. Same problems across all three.

LMAO but that was stupidly hard to get sorted. Many, many thanks RW02. I think someone needs to make a proper sticky thread about these units and explain what might be needed for them to work I take it now I can put CG miner where I want it rather than on the desktop like

KK, teamviewer is installed.
Will be amazingly grateful if you're able to get these things to work on my machine. Especially if it means the rest of the sticks I've ordered will then work. So far I'm waiting for another 3 Bitfury miners (the 2 I sent back for replacement + 1 more) and 2 nano fury usb miners.
The last Block Erupter turned up today as well. 9 of those = plenty as they're not so great.

If anyone lives in North London and wants to make a trip over to me and earn £20 for their trouble to help me get these working then I think I'm going to give up with it because this, frankly, is bull****
Avast free won't let me download CGminer - it is seeing it as a trojan. I wonder why....

Depends on whether you're willing to pay what I've shelled out for them. I'm not losing money on these units. I'm seriously sick of the bloody thing already. Amazing how they "work" for everyone else but nothing is working for me.
Again, gotten Windows to see them again after using zadig to reinstall the winusb and the wcid driver but bitminter and bfgminer don't see em.
Is there a link for CGminer?

I'm getting sick of this already.
These units are supposed to be plug and play but all that is happening is that it is going from bad to worse.
Are the people who make these units available on here? If so can I have their member names so I can contact them directly?

Having done that the Red Fury devices I got today come up with no driver found for atmega32U2 DFU devices.
|
|
|
I've put the zadig tool on but have no idea what to do with it.
Is there a thread explaining what to do?
|
|
|
BFGMiner 3.6.0 comes up with LIBUSB_ERROR_NOT_SUPPORTED
Again, the little Icarus (Erupters) work fine.
|
|
|
I've done all of that already.
I have 2 of these hubs. 1 is running 8 block Erupters with no problem. They are 12v and 4000 Milli-amps
Only problems I'm having are getting Bitfury usb miners to work, so as far as I am concerned, from my experience of them so far, they aren't worth a tinkers damn.
Are there any particular port settings that should be changed to make them work? Or am I just being extremely unlucky or what? Or am I right and these things are just a con job to get suckers to part with lots of cash?

Hi all.
Would appreciate some help as I am still stuck in the newbie section so can't ask in the appropriate place (which is actually very annoying)
So far the bitfury usb miners I've ordered have been completely rubbish.
After installing the mediafire bfgminer download to get the BF1.ini file, a Virtual COM port driver and a WCA driver (which stopped the mining pc crashing every day between 6am and 8am for some reason) I just cannot get these USB asic miners to work.
I've had 2 Blue fury usb miners (with the black heatsinks) which have both had to go back. Windows (after the above) can see the BFL 1 sticks but neither Bitminter or BFGMiner sees them. I had 1 work for a few days but then it got listed as sick, dropped down to below the speed of the Block Erupters and then died.
I've had 2 Red Fury usb sticks arrive today and same problem, Windows sees them but neither Bitminter or BFGMiner can use them.
With Bitminter they just time out when probed and BFGMiner can't find them when you press M / + / all
Is there something else I need to do? I've tried them in both a 4 amp powered 10 port hub and directly into both the case front panel usb 2 ports, the motherboard I/O usb 2 ports and in a pci usb 2 expansion card.
As far as I can see these things are, simply, not worth the money. If I can't get them to work then I'm going to have to give up with bitcoin mining because I can't afford to buy the Jalapeno units, Blades and other units.
So if anyone has more knowledge of how to make these annoying little miners work I'd really appreciate it because I'd like to actually get some hashing done.
