I think this is the single most important factor which dissuades the mainstream population from using Bitcoin. It definitely has the capacity for the same level of anonymity as cash transactions but sadly not the versatility.

Being able to use pre-paid Debit Cards to buy Bitcoins would be a great addition.

The bitcoin price will naturally be increasing over time because of the high demand and decreasing supply. I think that the price will eventually rise to near enough figure - with regards to all the business investments, public knowledge of bitcoins and the development of more bitcoin services that will boost the price gradually and prevent sudden crashes from being too steep or crippling to the value. That leaves everyone in the rough position of deciding whether or not to buy or sell now.

I remember only a month or so ago when the price was $110. I sometimes spend days hypnotically staring at the current value just prepared to buy or sell depending on a sudden surge or crash. I think that the price will continue to rise despite small to moderate crashes though so buying now would not be a bad option.
