Great post. Just a thought, how do you distribute coins fairly?  How could you bake it into the ecosystem (maybe the code?) so the a coin can do all 3 of these things?   Would be total radical idea, but maybe this is a radical community.

Having a cap on a particular wallet would never work because people can have multiple wallets.  What might work is automatic distribution of percent to a large pool than needs wealth on every transaction.  How and who that gets distributed would need some real thinking and rule sets but it could be done.  One way to do it is to set up treasury and governenence as part of the coin which helps to maintain fair rules and non favored recipeints.   ZenCash isn't into distribution but definitley a treasury system.  SOmething to think about? https://blog.zensystem.io/zencash-and-iohk-rd-partner/

This is a SUPERIOR idea. I am lurking, own a bit, but am quite enamored with this coin and concept.  FUCK token seems silly and/or offensive at first but gets your attention. Then you realize it's actually got smarts, heart, and (shoot me) HUMOR built in.   When the bots are up adn running, I read soon, let's please find a way to give to the Bitconnect victims.  So easy to rag on them but I watched enough videos to feel awful.  Like to show them I give a fuck and who knows if this takes off could even help them out.  If this got juice 50M circulating supply ain't shit. 

Keep this idea alive.

Aside from participating on this forum how do we as a community participate?  I'm not a dev, new to the scene, but I get tech and communication and love to help out if it's fun and helps. 

I look at a video like this:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2Phjm1T7TQ  about a community coin like Electra (ECA) that went from 1 satoshi to 70 and can't help but notice the similarities.

From what I understand Zeit has:  Stable working coin. Stable working wallets. Pretty much close to same supply as Electra. Inflation under control. Sure I'm missing something. Anyway I can help with copy or organization on website please feel free to PM me and happy to help out. 

I submitted mssage to coinexchange as well and they got back to me right away they're working on it.

Ah shoot.  Thought I had the wallet down, worked good yesterday. Now I go to open and it's stuck "Loading Block Index"

Then timed out.  I moved a lot of coin there yesterday. Any suggestions?

With help from community here's steps I took to get MAC WALLET up and running.  

Thought I'd consolidate to make easier on future person.


Download Wallet and find overall information from the Opening Page:

Open Wallet you downloaded

Close Wallet

Open folder: Library/Application Support/zeitcoin

Move .rar file to Library/Application Support/zeitcoin

“Uncompress” .rar file in Library/Application Support/zeitcoin
*Note, I had to download this application and it worked like a charm:  https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/dr-unarchiver-rar-zip-tool/id1127253508?mt=12

You will notice a new folder Library/Application Support/zeitcoin/
ZeitBlockChainSnapShot-2018-01-09
*the name of the folder will be in sync with current .rar (snapshot) you downloaded

Move any file or folder from that new folder (Library/Application Support/zeitcoin/
ZeitBlockChainSnapShot-2018-01-09)  into main folder Library/Application Support/zeitcoin)

BEFORE YOU DO THAT, delete in main folder (Library/Application Support/zeitcoin) anything named the same in the new snapshot folder.  The new ones are the ones you want to use.

After that's done Open Wallet

It should be syncing. It takes a few hours for the first time so leave it open but once it does it works.

"Help/Debug" in wallet shows you status of how many blocks are left and how far back the last block was. If it's 100's or 1000s of days ago it's not correct.

ONce synced you'll get a confirmation.  

Then

Test receiving small amount of ZEIT in from an exchange. Confirm

Test sending small amount of ZEIT out back to exchange Confirm.

“Encrypt” your wallet.  DON’T LOSE YOUR PASS PHRASE.  

Use your wallet.

Once you have base coins in there BACKUP wallet.dat in a safe place with a date stamp so you can use that with your pass phrase if you ever need to.

I keep my wallet locked and not into “minting” and all that right now.  Happy to have control of my investment (not a small one for me at this guppy at this point) so will secure and figure out if I want to do that later.  But prob leave that to others since stake rate is low.  Which actually is a good thing for stability of coin.  

Hope this helps and any “knights” who think I did something wrong please raise red flag for myself and others.

Really appreciate all the help. My MAC Zeit wallet is working, coins from south exchange transfered, encrypted, backedup.  Tested send and receive.  I'll stay "locked" for now but happy to officially be on board. 

As a side note, this coin and transfer is REALLY fast.

Thanks for help.  Can't wait to see the website when it's up.  But as a relative newbie to this space but long time vet to the marcro space I gotta say there's so much crap out there with good websites. Diamonds in the rough are found in forums like this, connected right to real people, doing REAL things, and you see the results.

So MAC wallet almost up and good but still getting hung up.

I opened snapshot in folder told to on mac.

Then deleted folders/files from original and moved what was in the snapshot folder over leaving the others.

These are the files now on Zeitcoin folder:

I see wallet trying to sync (6 active connections).
Last block was 23 days ago (not 1400 days like before).

Still, ran it over night and sync wasn't complete.

Any suggestions?

I agree.  I saw the 2 satoshi thing, according to coinmarket, made double my money on purchase.  just gobble up the 2 satoshis. I've reahed my limit though very tempted.

Thanks. On a Mac I have the Zeitcoin folder. Do I need to create new folders in that and extract in there?

After the experience with some other alt alt coins (on exchanges) ZEIT is awesome and well represented.  You should see what happened with EMB coin when Cryptopia went down.  Zeit took it on chin and is actively trading.  Good work Devs!  This is a  sleeping giant!  Wallet 10% synced.  Can't wait to get control of my ZEITS.
