Really? I find that surprising as all of the traders I've bought from on there have released the escrow fairly promptly after I paid them.
How do you mean stolen bank funds? The transfer is non-refundable I think, with standard (uk) bank transfers.

Hoping I don't have to do it any time soon, but if I need to get some emergency cash out of my coins, localbitcoins.com seems best suited to me - used it for buying a few times and everything has gone very smoothly.
Just wondering how long it takes generally to find a buyer - there seem to be sellers lining up all the time, is it generally a case that you can find someone fairly swiftly if you need to cash out a small amount?
Also do they ask for any id or verification at any point of the selling process?

Thanks for the info. Resetting the blockchain worked.

Hi guys, thanks for all the replies.
It's the next day here (UK) now and I still don't have anything, and my account is still reading the same - here's a link to the blockchain transaction (the link provided by multibit) https://blockchain.info/tx-index/58784a85d18aa6ecf94c842c9ba8d1fca105fd570b4ccf767cce8b76045d0fff

What I don't quite understand is all the different amounts listed there - my transaction is the 0.054 bitcoin one, not sure where all the other figures come from unless they are just the other transactions which took place in the blockchain around the same time?

Not been doing this long - just tried to withdraw money from my BTC-E account into my desktop wallet (Multibit). The transaction has been listed as "seen by 4 peers" and "not yet confirmed" for about 4 hours now, is that normal? I've only done a few transactions so far and they all went through quicker than this.
One thing I've noticed is that the little indicator that goes from a white circle to a green tick on the Multibit transactions page, has remained a white, empty circle, rather than gradually filling yellow, like they did, just shortly after my previous transactions were initiated.
A bit worried as I had heard that people have had problems withdrawing from exchanges and this was the first time I tried (fairly small amount).
Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask but it's the only place I could find!
