1  Other / Beginners & Help / Creation of new Cryptocurrency - advice needed on: January 07, 2018, 05:23:38 PM
Dear community,

I'll try to keep this short:

We have the goal to create a new cryptocurrency with a specific purpose to be used in local economy. But we are quite new in the field of creating a currency itself...

To be able to reach our goal, we need more knowledge about the parameters behind.
For that purpose, we created a first currency - the "ITS4Acoin" and we would need some feedback on it.

It is a Cryptonote derivate - we forked it off its main repository.

Link to our repository is: https://github.com/its4a/its4acoin_repository

We would like to encourage you to take a look at the code (the parameters in /src/CryptoNoteConfig.h specifically) and give us feedback if the parameters we chose are wise or if experienced users would try a different path...?
You don't need to mine or join ... our goal is rather to get feedback if this is a good direction we are heading in.

We experienced numerous compiling and linker errors and "shipped our way round these" more or less well, but in the end we are left with uncertanity whether the result will stand the test of time.

The CryptoNote forums unfortunately don't work for us ... we don't get confirmation requests sent Sad ... hopefully somebody here has a bit of advice for us...

We'd be thankful!
Thanks, the ITS4A Team
